After filing this complaint with the Revdex.com the Confidence Driving School  did begin to fulfill their part of the contract by taking my daughter on her behind-the-wheel lessons. She still has one lesson remaining, which is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10th. At that point this issue will be...

resolved.I am still not happy with this company and would not recommend them to anyone simply because it took us 6 months of phone calling and filing a Revdex.com complaint to get what we had paid for. DO NOT use this driving school! My son showed up for his first class only to learn that it had been cancelled. Nobody bothered to call. The response was, "Someone dropped the ball and has been talked to." We had to reschedule with a start date 2 months later after we had already missed the start of sports and activities to accommodate his drivers education schedule.

He learned very little from his "in class" instruction. He doesn't know the basics like turning right on a red light or changing lanes when there's an emergency vehicle. His "on the road" lessons ended abruptly when the instructor quit. I tried calling to set up appointments. Nobody answered the phone. I had to beat on the door repeatedly to get someone to respond. Then they were flat out rude. If I hadn't pursued the full 6 on the road classes, he would have NEVER received them. I know others in his class who are still waiting, and the company has moved out of Milwaukee. Even when we were finally able to make appointments, instructors didn't show up saying there was a "misunderstanding".

Review: On 8/20/2013 I had signed my daughter [redacted] up for drivers ed class for the Brookfield location of Angelina's deli for September 30 till October 23rd. At that time I paid them 350.00 for the class it was charged to my credit card on 8/20/2013. The Friday before the class was to start they called and said it was cancelled and could we do the same location but on October 28 - Nov 15. I agreed and waited for the class to begin. Well the Friday before that class was to start they called and said that the class was cancelled and that they could no longer have it in brookfield could we go to 68th and cold spring location in milwaukee. It was too out of the way to do that location so we said no. They stated they would refund us the money since they cancelled the class at that location twice. Since then I still have not been refunded. I have spoke with starting Nov 15 the person who does the book wasn't in but was left a message, Nov 25 spoke with [redacted] who said she has to talk to the accountant, 12/3 they stated they would look into it and no one has ever called me with updates and I call weekly as there has not been any credit from them posted to my credit card and I check it at least twice a week. I need help to resolve this.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund my credit card as soon as possible since they have had this money since 8/20/2013. I would also like confirmation that the account was credited via a letter.

Review: Have been trying to set up a behind the wheel class classes for our son, Confidence is being uncooperative. We have been told someone will contact us, no one does.Desired Settlement: Needs to have behind the wheel completed by May 1, 2014

Review: My son took the drivers ed classroom portion and finished in mid-December. We waited until after the holidays to call about scheduling the behind the wheel portion of the class. We called multiple times and would get no answer, no voicemail to leave a message. Finally I called in the morning and reached someone in their office. She explained the other office person was out for personal reasons and she was the only one there. We told her we wanted to get him signed up for behind the wheel. She took all our information and said [redacted] would be calling him to schedule. We waited three weeks and nothing. Continued to try and reach someone with no luck. Finally we got a call in the middle of the day. Her message was "Hi this is [redacted] from Confidence Driving School, I'll call back another time" We never got another call from her. She never left a call back number. I understand she wouldn't answer a phone when in the car with a student, but the general adult population has voicemail, I have called the office several times, specifically on March 7 and April 10, 2014 I talked to the same woman in the office. She has been given my cell phone number, has been instructed to have the instructors call me, acknowledges that she has talked to me a couple times and yet I have yet to have anyone from Confidence Driving School call me back.Desired Settlement: I am asking for a partial refund. The class was $300. He took the classroom portion, but I have absolutely no desire for these people to teach my son how to drive. I would like a partial refund of $150 which I will put towards behind the wheel training with a more reputable company

Review: On 10-4-2013 paid $350 via debit card for driving coarse in Brookfield starting on 10-28-2013 for student [redacted] On 10-25-2013 was contacted by Confidence and advised that they lost their lease in Brookfield and offered a discount to take the coarse in Wauwatosa.

On Monday, 10-28-2013, I contacted Confidence and advised I wanted a refund. I was informed that they would give this request to the supervisor for processing. I provided her my amount and transaction date of the original charge.

On Monday, 11-4-2013, I made the second inquiry into Confidence. They informed me they would need to take it to accounting to have the credit issued. I asked how long that would be before I would receive the credit...they responded with "I'm not sure". I asked for a manager to contact me with time frame of when I can expect my refund.

On Monday morning, 11-11-2013 I made my third contact into Confidence and spoke with the same woman I spoke with on 10-28-2013. I informed her that I needed to hear back from a manager as to when my credit would be posted as I needed the funds refunded to pay the driving coarse offered by United Driving school at Brookfield Central. I was told that she remembered my request and is only an answering service and that nobody comes in until afternoon, but would pass the message on.

On Monday afternoon, 11-11-2013 I contacted Confidence for the fourth time and received the same answering service who again was going to pass the message onto a supervisor to call me as to when my credit would be posted.Desired Settlement: Issue $350 credit back to my visa debit card.

Review: We enrolled our child in both the classroom and the behind the wheel portion of the driver's program through our local high school. The in-class training was performed, however, my child said that the class was a joke and the elderly male instructor would show up late and sometime fall asleep in class. The issue is that the behind-the-wheel portion of the contract has not been completed due to Confidence Driving School (CDS) not allowing us to set up an appointment with an instructor. We have called over 20 times, both speaking directly with the assistant and leaving phone messages. At time we will speak directly with the assistant and she articulates to us the same story - "we will get back to you". We have NEVER received a return call.

This "No" Confidence Driving School is also misrepresenting affiliations to schools. I called Brookfield Central and they said that they stopped allowing them access to their school over 5 years ago because Confidence did not pay their bills. Brookfield East high school has done the same - yet they too are misrepresented on the CDS Web site.

We are sending a certified letter to them asking for remittance of $300.00, the cost that it would be for us to send our child to a different school. We are also prepared to take them to court in order to expose them to more people.Desired Settlement: Refund $300.00 dollars - the cost to send our child elsewhere for the service that wasn't provided.

Review: We enrolled our son in Confidence Driving School's Approved Driver Education Course (B-61013) from June 10, 2013 through June 28, 2013. The $350 charge placed on our credit card by Confidence was payment for 30 hours of classroom instruction, plus 9 hours of behind-the-wheel training with a certified driving instructor. The nine-hour course was recommended by Confidence for anxious drivers. The classroom portion of the driving course was completed per the contract. However, as of October 11, 11, 2013 my son has only received three of the nine behind-the-wheel sessions. The sessions were with the driving instructor, David Grabman, on Aug. 9, Aug. 15 and Sept. 3, 2013. Another lesson was scheduled for Sept. 18, 2013. My son had a conflict with this lesson time, so a week in advance I called the instructor at his home number, [redacted], to reschedule. At that time, the instructor's wife told me that Confidence was not paying its driving instructors on a regular basis. Since that conversation, I have not been contacted by either Confidence Driving School or [redacted] to schedule the remaining six lessons for which we had to pre-pay Confidence. Since September 18, 2013, my husband and I have called Confidence and the instructor several times in an attempt to resolve this issue. I wish the instructor would have had the courtesy to return phone calls, but I do not hold him responsible. I can understand that he will not work for Confidence if he is not being paid by them. The failure to honor the agreement rests with Confidence for not providing the remaining six lessons for which we have already paid. When my husband has reached the owners of Confidence by phone, they twice promised to return calls and to resolve the issue. However, there have been no calls from Confidence, no written communication about the unscheduled lessons,, and no explanation for how Confidence will fulfill their end of the agreement and provide my son with the six driving lessons that have not been provided as agreed upon when payment was made. I am very frustrated by this situation. If the problem is not resolved, I will have to find and pay another driving school to provide the state-required behind-the-wheel driving lessons.Desired Settlement: I would like Confidence Driving School to contact instructor [redacted] and pay him to give my son the remaining six driving lessons for which Confidence has already been paid. If that is not possible, I would like a refund for the cost of six behind-the-wheel driving lessons that were paid for and never provided. Per the contract that I have from Confidence, lessons are billed at $45 per hour, which would result in a refund of $270.

I saw the story on Channel 4 and wanted to add to your evidence. We were victimized by this business as well. They never scheduled us until I called every day and threatened to sue them. They even no-showed leaving my son and I in a parking lot waiting! Someone needs to put them out of business PLEASE so no additional families have to go through this.

Review: We signed our son up for diving instruction through Confidence Driving School back in June. He was to have classroom instruction and behind the wheel instruction. Classroom instruction began in July and went just as planned. He received his temporary license shortly after beginning classroom and was told he would get a call from the driving instructor to set up behind the wheel in about one week. After two weeks he asked once again about setting it up and was told that the paper work had gotten lost but he should hear from the instructor in another week or two. We then waited again and received a call in September to set up his behind the wheel. It was set up to begin October 7th and continue with another on October 8th and October 14th with the rest to then be scheduled. He was supposed to be picked up at school. My son waited 45 minutes for the driving instructor on the 7th after school. I phoned the instructor, no answer so then called the office. His car had broken down. He then cancelled the 8th and called the following week to cancel the 14th. We have tried to get a refund to be able to go someplace else and were told they have to check with their accounting department.Desired Settlement: We would like our $300.00 refunded minus $50.00 for classroom training.

Review: In March of 2013 I mailed a check for $300 to Confidence Driving School for my son, then 16, to enroll in driving lessons. I enrolled him in classes to start in August of 2013. The day before classes were supposed to start I received a call saying the class was cancelled. I rescheduled for September of 2013 and again I got a call the night before the class was supposed to start saying it was cancelled. I called and requested a refund of my $300 in check form. The receptionist verified my information and said she would pass the information on to the person responsible. I never received a phone call or a check. For awhile I called at least once a week to request my money and always talked to the receptionist who said she would pass the information along and again I heard from no one. I also wrote a letter that went unacknowledged. I just want my money returned since it is my son's money and he has other uses for it.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of $300 in check form.

Review: My daughter has had her temporary license since September. She has had only two behind the wheel lessons. I do not get return phone calls or emails. I am not the only person experiencing this problem. I can never speak with a supervisor or manager and there is not a corporate number to call. My daughter at this rate will jot have her lessons complete by her birthday in order to take her drivers test.Desired Settlement: I want a couple of settlements. I want my daughter to be scheduled for her remaining lessons and completed before March and I believe I should receive some refund or additional lessons for free.

Review: Like others who have used Confidence, the classroom portion of the service met expectations. The issues with Confidence occurred when we attempted to schedule behind-the-wheel sessions. Our initial phone requests for the first appointment were not responded to until our 3rd attempt. Our son completed 2 behind the wheel sessions, but his instructor was a no-show for the 3rd session. This by itself is unacceptable - students are all very busy with academics and extra curriculars and their time is valuable. More concerning is that Confidence requires the student to schedule their next appointment at the end of the current appointment so if the instructor doesn't show up, the next appointment can't be scheduled. We have placed 3 calls to Confidence over the past 3 weeks trying to gain resolution, no one ever picks up and have not received any return calls. Without a returned call we can't schedule an appointment so we can't receive the service we paid for.Desired Settlement: I would like a partial refund of 1/2 of the initial enrollment fee to cover a portion of the cost to enroll our son in another driving school.

In a final effort to resolve this issue, I contacted Confidence, got a live person, and they agreed to set up the remaining four behind the wheel sessions for my son. They have followed through on the schedule and my son will be completing his lessons next week. I'm satisfied with the response from Confidence and would like to close this case. However, all of the statements regarding their initial lack of response are still accurate.

Review: We paid $300 for our daughter to have driving lessons (30 hours classroom and 12 hours behind the wheel) on March 17th, 2014. She received the classroom instruction in April, but has not been given one behind the wheel lesson since that time (6 months). We have called numerous times (too many to count) and have only gotten vague promises that say someone named "Maryann" will call to schedule the lesson. Maryann has never called once. The school refuses to give me her phone number so that I can call her. I have called other driving schools in the area and it will cost me an additional $240 to get lessons for my daughter.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded $240.

My daughter started in July with classroom instruction. Not even half way through the instructor quit and a new instructor was sent. After she was done with classroom work it took three weeks for them to call me snd set up an appointment for a driving test. Meanwhile we saw her classroom instructor driving a limo and when we adked he told us that the school hasn't paid him for 2 months.

When she finally got her first appointment this older man spent the hour talking to my daughter about how terrible president Obama I'd and that he was destroying our country. He also trashed Planned Parenthood my daughter doesn't even Care

One occasion he felt asleep (snoring) while she was driving and told her that she was a good driver snd he trusted her. Another occasion he talked about using steroids because he need it them because he was low in testosterone.

This man end up in a hospital and nobody called to cancel his appointments because nobody had his schedule or the phone numbers of thr kids, my daughter waited at the school for 1 hour.

Now in October and she is still waiting to complete her driving hours because they don't hsve instructors to take over this man schedule

Review: I payed for classroom and behind the wheel instruction for my son in July 2013. He took the classroom portion in August 2013. We received the classroom instruction with no issues. When it came time to schedule behind the wheel lessons for my son in 2014 after he was 15 1/2 it took several phone calls and weeks for someone to call me back and set up an appointment. My son had one lesson on 2/24/14 and we were told by the instructor (JOHN) that he will not work for Confidence anymore that we need to contact the school to setup more lessons. I contacted them on 2/25/2014 and again on 2/26/2014 with an answer of there is no one here that can schedule your appointment. We will call you back. No response from Confidence. I called back on 2/27/2014 and there was no answer the phone rang and rang and rang. I am very disappointed in the customer service and how poorly run the business is. I payed $275.00 for both portions.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my money back for the driving lesson portion. I feel that half of my money back is fair. So I can go else where for driving instruction.

Review: We signed our daughter up for driving school with Confidence Driving School. She completed the course work in August 2013 and then was able to start the "behind the wheel" portion of the school as of 9/26/13. She completed one behind the wheel session, but we have been unable to schedule any additional sessions. We had the 2nd session scheduled, but the driving instructor never showed up to pick up our daughter. We never received a phone call that the instructor was not going to be able to complete this session. We have been trying for several weeks to contact Confidence to schedule additional "behind the wheel" sessions, but no one answers their phone. Confidence is not honoring their agreement/contract that we signed with them and we are looking for a full refund of the $350 we paid to them so we can go to another driving school for our daughter.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the $350 we paid to Confidence Driving School.

Review: My son completed the school's classroom instruction in late July of 2013. He obtained his temps on 7/31/13. We were advised to contact the school as soon as temps were obtained so behind the wheel instruction could be scheduled. I contacted the school in late July and was told the instructor would call me back in a day or two to schedule behind the wheel. The instructor did not call. I contacted the school on several occasions over the past four months, and they apologized that the instructor had not contacted us yet, but that they would give the message to the instructor and I would hear back from him within a day or two. The instructor never called. I contacted the school to request a refund, but the manager, [redacted], is never available and she does not return calls either.Desired Settlement: A refund of $350

Review: I had signed my child up for this driving school class but the class was constantly delayed so I switched to another driving school and asked for the money back. It has been almost 3 months now and I have called them couple times a week.Desired Settlement: $300

Review: My daughter signed up for driving class and behind the wheel lessons with Confidence Driving School. She took the classroom portion of the class last summer (July/August 2013). She received her temporary license on November 25. On November 26, we called to schedule her behind the wheel lessons. At that time the schedule was not in the office so they advised that they would call us back with a date. After 2 weeks, we had not heard anything so we called again. They advised that a bird had chewed the computer wire and that they forgot to call us back. I asked to schedule an appointment and the appointment book was not in the office so they coulsd not at that time. I called back again a few days later and was able to schedule an appointment for January 3. On January 2, the appointment was cancelled because the car was in the shop. Are there not others available? They were unable to reschedule at that time. I called again about a week later and sent an e-mail (January 7 which was not responded to) to schedule another appointment. One was available for January 28 at 3:35. At 2:45 they contacted us and advised that because it was cold out they were cancelling this lesson. Really ... too cold out? I called again and was finally able to get an appointment for February 6 at 2:30. They were a no call/no show that day. We contacted the office who was unable to get a hold of the driver to see what had happened. On February 10 I sent them a second e-mail, which also has not been responded to. In that e-mail I requested a refund due to the severe inconvenience that we have been going through and the fact that at this point I have no confidence in their service. Again, to date this has not been responded to. These e-mails were sent to the address on their own website. I also contacted Today's [redacted] who did a 3 part story on the issues with this company.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a refund of the behind the wheel portion of my fee that was paid upfront. I have not received the services that were paid for, therefore, I am seeking a refund of that portion. I have to pay another driving school to get the lessons done in a timely manner.
