I prepaid $485.00 for driving school classes (held at Mount Mary University)and 9 hours of one on one driver observation for my son starting back in July 2013. The first red flag should have been when I paid $350 portion for a class that did not issue any books for the soon to be driver to study from...? After class completion, an appointment was made with an instructor. The instructor never showed nor did the instructor or confidence school call us to inform us of any issues. A week of phone calls went unanswered and another missed appointment until we were able to reschedule two more weeks after the fact. Unreliability, unanswered phone calls, messages left with no return calls. VERY FRUSTRATING... Finally, a new instructor was assigned. All appeared to be going well until Jan. 2014. The last class was never completed with the instructor & it took 2 1/2 more weeks of phone calls to get the final class scheduled and completed. At that it was 1 1/2 days before the prescheduled D.O.T. road test. Too close for having to schedule the road test 11 weeks in advance...In fairness, I was surprised the completeion certification was actually submitted in time by Confidence for his road test but it was...This company and the way they do business is appalling and the worst part about the whole ordeal is when I had to tell my son he may not be able to take the road test he had so anxiously awaited due to incompetence on Confidence driving Schools part...BAD BUSINESS - DO NOT UTILIZE THIS COMPANY.

Review: I paid Confidence Driving School $485 in February of 2013 to provide my daughter with 30 hours of classroom driving instruction, and 9 hours of private driving lessons. She completed the classroom portion and got her temporary permit on August 27, 2013. I called on August 28th to set up her first driving session. They said someone would call me within the week to set something up. When no one had called within 10 days, I called back. Again they told me someone would call. No one did. On my third call to them, I told them I would take a refund and take my business elsewhere if they couldn't set up an appt. [redacted] called me back and set up an appt. for her husband [redacted] to pick [redacted] up at our home on October 2nd (now 5 weeks after my daughter got her temps). He never showed up. I called Confidence on October 3rd and they told me that [redacted] had to quit because of health issues and they were sorry no one had contacted me. She assured me someone would call me back to set up another appt. I called the week of October 7th, still no call from anyone. Finally on October 16th, I called and told them I wanted a refund for the Behind the Wheel portion of the program, and that I would go elsewhere. After they tried to assure me that I would get a phone call from someone to set up an appt., they finally agreed to credit my credit card $195. When I checked on November 18th, it still wasn't credited. I called on the 19th and the woman told me that she doesn't take care of refunds, but she would give my information to the head office again. Still not credit on my card as of November 29th.Desired Settlement: I would like $195 back on my credit card.

Review: I signed my daughter up for state mandated drivers education course with Confidence Driving school in July of 2013. I paid the full amount for both the classroom portion and the behind the wheel portion of the instruction in July of 2013. My daughter completed the classroom portion of her coursework in August of 2013. When she turned 15 1/2 years old we contacted Confidence Driving School and received the paperwork to allow us to get her temporary license in November of 2013. I began calling Confidence Driving School in January 2014 to set up her behind the wheel instruction. I left message after message. They continued stating that a driving instructor would call me back to set up her times to complete the behind the wheel training. Weeks went by with no return phone calls. I continued to call and received the same information that a driving instructor would return my call. I never once received a call. I called back again and requested that the owner contact me regarding this issue of not being able to get the behind the wheel instruction scheduled. No contact from the company. I finally was told in March that there was a shortage of driving instructors in my area. I asked whether we would be able to schedule the necessary 12 hours of instruction that we paid for. Once again I asked to be contacted by the owner, and was never contacted. I felt as if I had no choice and contacted another driving school to complete the behind the wheel instruction. I was able to have my daughter start instruction the very next day with another driving company. .Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund from Confidence Driving School for the behind the wheel portion of the driving instruction as they failed to complete the services that I paid for in full in July of 2013.

Review: Our son was scheduled to begin the classroom portion of the driving school on August 5th, 2013. We arrived at Mount Mary University at the agreed upon time and the instructor never showed. We called and were informed that the class had been cancelled. We requested a refund and to this day we have not received a refund. I have called 7 times if not more. I have left messages with [redacted] and [redacted] to no response. We have been waiting a month for a refund of our $350.Desired Settlement: Refund of our $350.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

My son completed the classroom portion of driver's education with Confidence in July 2013. He received his Wisconsin temporary license in September 2013. It is now January 2014 & he has only received 1 behind the wheel instruction. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to get a hold of anyone at the office in order to schedule an appointment. They have cancelled 2 times on him. Once the day before & once the day of a lesson.

Please do yourself a favor & do not engage this business for any services.

Review: Same issue as everyone else here. My son completed his classroom instruction over the summer of 2013. We now have made many, many ,many calls to the establishment to get behind the wheel started and they will not return calls to start instruction or set up this portion of instruction. They keep saying they will have someone call to set it up and no one does. I am always told that they are on vacation, or sick, or not available. Its now 60 days left before his test and not one behind the wheel class is scheduled. Attempts to request a refund are met with nothing. The staff on the phone are incredibly rude and will hang up on you as well. You cannot take money from people and then evade them when its time to render services. Very unethical business.Desired Settlement: I would like my 350 dollars back so I can purchase instruction elsewhere.
