Affordable Paving Company sold and Installed a $2,000.00 Driveway to Mr. [redacted]. During Installation in rolling the installed asphalt with a asphalt roller, a dip in the asphalt occurred where the roller stopped. Mr. [redacted] was informed at the time he made payment that our company would return in the fall to fix the dip and a complimentary seal coating to fulfill our company agreement with Mr. [redacted]. Since Mr. [redacted] has made numerous phone calls to our company voicing his displeasure of the appearance of the driveway, On Friday Nov. 14th around 3:30 p.m. the owner of Affordable Paving Co. Made a sight visitation to Mr. [redacted]'s address to have a visual of the complaint. Affordable Paving Co. would not have a problem to re-seal the driveway in spring/summer season of 2015 with a second coat of sealer to help Mr. [redacted] with the visible appearance of his asphalt driveway. We see no structural damage to the driveway at all and appears like a quality job with tamped edges and level surface. We don't know what Mr. [redacted] "Trap Door" comment means in the asphalt industry. Mr. [redacted] driveway with elevations and inclines were extremely difficult on the rolling procedure. It is difficult to make the asphalt appear like a level driveway because of the incline. That is why our company is more than happy to apply another seal coat on his driveway for the 2015 Season. If this is acceptable with Mr. [redacted] please let us know so we can proceed with scheduling. There is no reason why Mr. [redacted] can not continue to use his driveway as normal, it seems to be an appearance issue with him which we think the seal coating will correct.

We still have a big square patch on a new driveway, which is an eyesore, and also the result of their poor workmanship. When the owner came out in March, he said that he would fix it and it would not be noticeable, obviously that is not the case. I only wish that there was a way to post a picture of it on this site for you and others to see.

They were going to heat and compress some areas, repair low holes from tire tracks, and repair lower section repairing the 4x4 foot patch. This was to be done by the end of April. Today spoke with [redacted] from company. He stated that the repairs could not be completed because of the weather. He agreed on behalf of the company to make the repairs as soon as the weather was better. As of 5-9 no repairs have been completed and the driveway is an eyesore.

[redacted] admitted that he had not really seen the work on our driveway and that he considered the issue closed. He stated he would share our concerns with [redacted] the owner. Our main issue is that we paid for a new driveway. Due to improper installation the salesman [redacted] came and placed a large patch in our driveway. The patch was not approved by us. The patch is an eyesore and will pull away in time. In March of this year [redacted] the owner came to our house and admitted and even joked about the patch. He promised that he would repair the drive way and make it so the patch would not be noticeable. He also stated it would be done by the end of April. Well in mid June they came back. They re-patched the patch and applied seal coat. I still have a patch in the middle of the driveway. The seal coat only made it more oblivious. They say it looks good, yet they have never really seen it. I am confident that if this was at their house they would be as unhappy as I am. While [redacted] and [redacted] may be good people they have an issue of over promising and under delivering. I paid good money for a new driveway, now I have a driveway with a huge patch in the middle of it. This company claims to be in business for 35 years, if so I cant imagine that would be proud of this work. At this point I feel I have no recourse since I have paid already. Shame on Affordable Paving for treating customers this way. A new driveway should not have a patch in it. No one would be happy with this work. They promised to make the drive way right, but this is just another empty promise.

Our issue from day one is that Affordable made an error when installing our driveway. Their solution was to install a 4 x 6 foot patch on the driveway. This is unacceptable and looks terrible. [redacted] the owner agreed. But he also agreed to make it right and unnoticeable when we met in late March. [redacted] the installer was at the meeting. Since then we have just gotten the run around. Their guarantee says they will make us satisfied, we will never be satisfied with the large eyesore (patch) in the middle of our drive. We request a refund or allowance to have a proper installer redo our driveway. Shame on you Affordable. If the Revdex.com cannot hold you accountable I pray God will.

We have had a phone call back from the business, but we have had that for the past couple of months, and the driveway is still not finished. As for the $500, we were required to provide an estimated value for the work that was not completed, we paid $2000, so that is 1/4 of the price of the completed job. When the salesman left, he said trust them, they would be back, after 2 months, our trust has diminished. We would just like to have the work completed.
The parties have agreed reached a verbal agreement to resolve our dispute with a partial refund being issue. The refund will be issued upon the Patterson's acceptance of the agreement and both parties will consider the complaint resolved.
Affordable Paving Company will apply the seal coat to the driveway at our expense as soon as the weather permits. We will contact you in the near future to arrange a mutually agreeable time and date to complete this work.

On a couple of occasions, the owner or manager were supposed to meet with my husband, they either never showed, or came and left before the scheduled meeting time. They only agreed to meet at all, due to my husband, [redacted], continued calls to talk to them about our driveway. Our driveway still has an eyesore of a patch, which they were supposed to come back and correct. It is cracking on the sides and flaking off, due to the fact that it was never sealed properly. It is no longer black, but more of a gray color. When a car is parked in the driveway, it leaves tire marks. If a heavier vehicle drives onto our driveway, an indentation is left, the tires sink down and leave tracks. Affordable paving overpromised and under delivered, their actions speak louder than their words. We learned a very expensive lesson.
