Going into this type of "arrangement" there was some entrepidation, especially since I had enlisted the services previously of a not so reputable firmCA exceeded my expectations, my "debts" we're paid in a shorter time than I had expected, all correspondence with them was professional and they kept me informed of all changes or concernsCA can be trusted to help you restore your financial health!

Started out rocky, got into the program, sent them a spreadsheet of out debt, got the quote, started making payments and realized they left one of our accounts off..had to call and get it added thus payment went up They were late time after time making the payment on one of our accounts even though they knew the due dates We sold our house about months into it, used our equity to pay them off...sent a check certified mail, they held it for days before paying anything...meaning interest accrued and we wound up owing more money...very frustrating They said it was the payoff amount Initially I was told they would have the payoff amount ready in a few days, several phone calls I made where they said it would be ready in a couple of days...which turned into weeks and that was because I contacted a supervisor and got irate
Over all, I wouldnt do it again I am pretty sure because of their late payments our history was hurt worse than if I had kept making the payments on time and negotiated with the credit card companies myself We had no late payments before signing with them I decided to get help because it was difficult to keep up with all of it and I was overwhelmed

Consumers Alliance is a great business to consolidate your high rate credit cardsI will be able to pay the credit cards off in a timely manner

This company makes the process easy My rep, Albert R***, is the BEST! I went into the program, then my husband did Albert was so nice and so easy to work with I will give his name to anyone who wants a recommendation They cut our payments in half How much better is that? And, as far as our credit is concerned, it shouldn't hurt it any more than the debt we hadGreat company!

I was hesitant at first to use Consumer Alliance, but I'm so glad that I went ahead and consolidated my credit card debt with them! I was able to get rid of my debt in four years! They were able to negotiate with the credit card companies and lower my interest rates on all cards and then offer me a flat monthly payment which allowed me to budget more wiselyThey did everything they said they would doThey were honest and up frontThey have been courteous and knowledgeable about all their transactions and communications with meI would HIGHLY recommend this service for anyone who is finding themselves swimming in a pile of debt with no light at the end of the tunnelThank you, Consumer Alliance!

This company has really helped me i'm in my third contract with them they have always made my payments on time

Consumer alliance review:
A professional first impression, they verify my accounts from my current credit report and help me to come up with a affordable payment plan($150/month) and mailed me a contract to confirm debt, enrollment&enrollment fees
A week or so spending time verifying the accounts with stubborn collection agencies that do not want to talk to consumer alliance representatives without consent
The issues I have experienced is poor customer serviceIt's best to speak to a manager right away to resolve all account concerns, as the customer service reps will get frustratrated,angry, and give you the run aroundIt seems they don't want you to know the truth about your personal debt, maybe so that you continue to be in debt for months and months, or years if you are not carefulAlso, if you want to track balances it is very difficult as Consumer Alliance does not keep up with each creditor as they promised at initial siwithout you iniating the call, don't believe that they will be the sole "alliance" between you and collection agenciesThey only verify the amount you owe to the collection agencies at initial enrollmentLast month I was told I was completing my year payment program, when in fact all of the balances we not paid in full or corrrect I now have over 4months left to complete the debt programStatements do not show your debt decreasing, just how much you oweVery DEFEATING, DISAPPOINTING&embarrassing as I am doing all that I possibly can in my budget to free myself of DEBT
My advice is if you sign up with them stay on top of your program monthlyverify all debt accounts and dates of completing the programs your enrolling intoVerify with consumer alliance management(ALWAYS get the reps first&last name and number too!), and with the current debt collection agencies(they can sell your account)Don't give up on getting out of debt as it is very hard work, misleading and frustrating until u finally get out of itRegardless of how dumb consumer alliance makes you feel embarrassed and dumb for being in debt, do all you can to reach your credit goals

I'm so grateful for the service that Consumer's Alliance has provided me!! It started about a year ago, when I first contacted the debt specialist desk for help with 12k in credit card debt that I had been struggling to pay down for the last four yearsI had a million questions about their programs, as the whole concept of "paying back a fraction of what you owe" was very concerning for meI've heard scary stories from friends about what can happen when you enroll in the wrong programsThe debt specialist that worked with me was very informative and patient as I considered the options that she providedIt's been just over a year and I continue to successfully make paymentsI've watched my debt go down steadilyand what a rewarding feeling its been!! According to my monthly statements (which I find very helpful and informative), I will be FREE of debt in another months! For that - Consumer's Alliance gets a five star review from me!

Complaint ***
This response is in regards to the additional complaint of
*** *** Mr*** signed a written agreement enrolling into
the Consumers Alliance Debt Management Plan in December The debt of
J&L Teamworks was listed at $1, Mr *** signed this
list of debts This is the agreed amount which CAPC has been paying
Mr***’s complaint should be directed to Military Debt
Management Mr
*** knew his account balance with J&L was more than $8,000, but he
specifically told Military Debt Management to only make payments on one
of the J&L accounts Client acknowledged the total balance of all
accounts was $8,and instructed Military debt Management to only pay on the
one account with a balance of $2,
Mr*** receives a
statement every month from Consumers Alliance showing all activity on his
account. Prior to receiving Mr***'s complaint, he never contacted CAPC and questioned his statement,
or balances which shows the balance of J&L every month

This company did everything they said they wouldEvery employee I contacted acted in a professional, polite mannerI would recommend anyone needing this service to do business with them

Here is the document attached that Consumer Alliance wrote to me honoring the previous agreement that Military Debt  Management Agency in a contract I sent to you. They did not tell me made me aware of the other account that was sent over to them. I was stud and delt with health issues because of the travesty they caused my self and my family.

This is in response to the recent complaint
of [redacted]. Mr[redacted] seeks things, each of which Consumers Alliance has
provided.
In response to Mr[redacted] wanting late fees and interest
charges reduced, this has been arranged. Mr[redacted] had an account with
[redacted]. This account was transferred to [redacted] with a new account
number. Then the account was transferred back to [redacted].
Following that the account was transferred to [redacted] [redacted].
Consumers Alliance has worked to have the account properly
updated by [redacted] originally misapplied a payment to a
different customers account. We have worked with [redacted] to have
this payment correctly applied. We have also worked with [redacted] to
have the late payments waived. Originally the reduced interest rate we
arranged was 7.49%. We have worked with [redacted] to have this rate
reduced even further to 4.9%.
Consumers Alliance provides a monthly statement to all
clients. All of Mr[redacted]s monthly statements showing an accurate
of accounting of payments made to his accounts by CAPC have been reprinted and
provided.
A new updated agreement between Consumers Alliance and Mr
[redacted] showing the new payments agreed by [redacted] and all other accounts
has been provided.
