Cool Blew Electric & Solar Reviews (30)

I wanted to update you on what we found when we went out to the [redacted] home to replace a couple of cracked tiles. Another company installed bird screen around the solar panels and cracked tiles when they installed the bird screen. The roof and solar panels still have pigeon debris and the valley...

and wall flashing still are restricted due to the pigeon debris. There are cages on the roof that they are using to try to trap the pigeons. I have sent you pictures that we took when we were there for your review. Once again the roof leaks that they have are being caused by the pigeon debris and not from our solar installation. Let me know if you need any additional information on anything regarding this. Thank you! [redacted]Cool Blew, Inc

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. In the present, it could be inferred through the pictures that the above statements are accurate; however, the problems with the roof leaking occurred before the pigeon proofing was installed, after the solar was installed and the first big rain occured.  In the five years of living in this house, before the solar was installed, there were no leaks.  When the installers installed the solar panels, they first removed all of the tiles, stacked them to the side and began anchoring the frame that would hold the panels to the roof.  At that time there was No presence of pigeon debris.  The installer claimed that the anchor points would be mounted to the rafters; however, an inside examination in the attic clearly shows that the anchor points Missed some of the rafters and no sealant material between the anchor and the roof is present.  If the frame had been mounted properly when anchoring the solar mounting rack, this leak would have have never occurred. Cool Blew sent to our home a solar installer in lieu of a certified roofer, replacing a few tiles, then begins telling me that he thinks/feels some aura about the house, suggesting that it is haunted or something and only through some burning of sage and stuff will our problems be solved.  Right before the solar installer leaves, he assures me that Cool Blew will be sending a certified roofer to "make right" and fix our roof leak.  Clearly through Cool Blew's response to the Revdex.com, this is not what will happen.

Regards,

I am sorry about the misunderstanding regarding the scheduling of the maintenance check. We will totally work with the customer to get this scheduled at a time that will work for Greg. We have sent Greg an email along with 2 phone messages to contact us so we can get this...

I have contacted Mr. [redacted] to schedule a time for the roofer and myself to go to the home to completely inspect the issue to see what is going on there. I will give you a complete report after the meeting which will be sometime during the week of June 8th to the 12th. Let me know if you have any other questions on anything.Thank you.[redacted]Cool Blew Inc

Cool Blew was sent a work order from the home warranty company [redacted] to check out the ac problem at the [redacted] home. Cool Blew was at the [redacted] home on July 10th, 2013 and found the evaporator coil for the indoor portion of the ac system was leaking refrigerant. The evaporator coil...

or the air handler needed to be replaced and [redacted] decided due to the existing air handler being 23 years old that it would be more cost effective to replace the air handler. [redacted] did not cover some of the charges for the installation of the air handler which the [redacted]'s agreed to pay Cool Blew directly for the non- covered portion. [redacted] purchased the air handler and supplied the air handler to Cool Blew for installation. Sometime between the installation of the air handler and June 30th, 2014 the [redacted]'s either cancelled or did not renew their home warranty policy that they had with [redacted]. The [redacted]'s scheduled a service call with us to check out the problem. We found the unit to be 2 pounds low on refrigerant and added the refrigerant to the system. The [redacted]'s declined to do a leak search on the system so we could determine where the system was leaking. We did a quick leak search at no charge of the air handler and found no leaks. Cool Blew received a call from the [redacted]'s on May 7th, 2015 inquiring about finding the refrigerant leak. Robbie our service manager agreed to not charge for the service call and to do the leak search of the system for a reduced rate of $120.00. Robbie followed up with a phone call on May 8th to confirm the price for the leak search so we could get the leak search scheduled. The leak search was scheduled for May 12th 2015 between 10am and 2pm. We called when we were on our way but did not get an answer. We stopped by the home since we were in the area but nobody was home. We left a business card in the door to show that we did stop by.      Cool Blew has a 1 year workmanship warranty on all work that the company completes but has no warranty on any equipment that  Cool Blew did not sell. The air handler was purchased by [redacted] and was delivered to Cool Blew for installation. Any warranty on the air handler would be with [redacted] since they purchased the air handler. Without a leak search being done, there is no way to determine where the refrigerant leak is at. Attached is all the paperwork regarding the air handler installation and the service call for your review.Tim P[redacted]Cool Blew, Inc[redacted]

Review: In January 2016 we signed a contract with Cool Blew for a new heat pump. At the time we told the salesman we were not certain about a portion of the contract regarding blowing some product to seal the ducts in the amount of $2000. The heat pump was installed 1/16/16. We had the salesman over telling him we did not want the aeroseal, and requested a revised contract. We had placed a portion of the cost on a interest free for a year with [redacted] We still do not know what the ultimate cost of the unit is. We have called the salesman and he started yelling that we were picking on him. l called the office and spoke to Robert. giving him these facts. I had requested the revised contract the Monday after installation. Still no new contract.Desired Settlement: New contract with each component spelled out. New billing for [redacted] so we know what we have to pay. Apology giving us such a hard time to get what is rightly our rights.

Review: After having rooftop solar installed, several roof tiles were broken and not brought to our attention. A few rains later, we found leaks in our ceiling where none had been before the rooftop solar was installed. We called Cool Blew and they sent out two roof inspectors. Cool Blew never got back to us about the issue. I have called them twice, spoke with [redacted], with still no resolution.Desired Settlement: Roof damage repaired.

Review: Cool Blew replaced my Air handler unit on July 22, 2013; because the indoor coils and the unit was not cooling we paid $500.00 for the air handler and an additional $800.00 for freon . June 30.2014 less than a year after the repair , the air conditioner was not cooling the house and was unbearably hot so we contacted Cool Blew once again. The service man stated the unit was low on Freon, that we had put in July 22, 2013 and suggested diagnostic test and the unit need 2 pound of freon and we paid $278.52 for freon. We denied the diagnostic testing because the unit was still under warranty and didn't see why it would need testing since they tested the unit less than year ago. Now here we are again, May 7, 2015 we called Cool Blew once again due to the A/C not cooling our home once again. Now they are requiring us to pay for more Freon and pay for a diagnostic test too. At this point as a consumer Cool Blew should be held accountable for their obvious mistake of not fixing our A/C in the first place. There is no reason that if they fixed it correctly the first time that our A/C should still be leaking Freon. Cool Blew is taking advantage of us as they know that having A/C is a must in the Arizona heat. Cool Blew needs to make this right, we are tired of being taken advantage of.

Disappointed CustomerDesired Settlement: Repair the leak and add freon. We should not be charged for freon when we purchase freon less than a year ago.
