My father and I have been called so many times by different people from this company! They change their story about how much I owe every time. I asked them to send me a letter explaining why I owe this and to whom and they refuse. They said I was being sued in a certain county and have me the case number, I called and they have no case. They constantly harass me. I have turned them into the police department who has found they are actually based out of India. They have people claiming to be attorneys all over the United States. I wish they would be shut down! My dad has a bad heart and every time they call he is so stressed !!

Received horrible quality robo-calls 2 days in a row to our company phone number demanding a non-specific "case number" only call-back to CHK&A at 877-232-8460 - web searches of this company name and the 800 number leads to this "F" grade Revdex.com company listing, and to other reports of scam artistry for collections.

Review: I have received several voice messages from this company not asking for anyone specific. I finally spoke with someone and they proceeded to tell me if I didn't pay a debt that they would have me arrested. I asked about the nature of the debt and they man I spoke with who only identified himself as [redacted] and proceeded to over talk me and wouldn't answer any questions. He said I can't dispute the debt. When I began speaking again he hung up on me. Now they keep leaving messages on my answering machine telling me they are going to call the courts and report my noncompliance.Desired Settlement: If the company feels I owe the debt then they can send communication by mail. I do not want to have any further phone calls and if enough complaints are filed I would like to see this company held accountable for unfair collection practices.

Review: I received a call about a month ago from phone number (804) 318-3687 that left a detailed message for me to return the call to phone number (866)789-0577 and an extension was left. I returned the call and put in the extension and spoke with Anthony concerning a payday loan. He said I had to make arrangements to pay this debt or my wages would be garnished or I could be arrested. I gave all my information and the first payment was to come out of my account on 10/15/2015. After the call something didn't sit right with me so I called the number back and the recording said I had reached a number that could not take incoming calls. I tried 20-50 times calling this number. I then decided to research the number on line and that is when I found out that a lot of people had been getting this call from the same number and they were threatening arrests, and wage garnishments. Today I got a call from the same place but different number. the phone number today came from a different number but same people. they left a message to call 1-816-1867. I did just to see what they said and I spoke with the same guy. I told him I had tried to call that first number back and he said they were changing phone systems. He then asked which number and read out several 866 numbers but never said the very first one. I told him I had seen all the complaints from this business and that the first number he called from was on the scam hotline. He never told me when I talked to him the first time where he was from just that he was with a litigation firm. I called the check cashing place and they said they had never heard of this company. I do not like being lied to and scammed. When I hung up with them today they said they would show me and I should be receiving something in the next 48 hours. That sounds kind of threatening and I do not appreciate that. I am a single mother with two kids and their tactics are not right. I think this company needs to be looked into and something should be done about tDesired Settlement: I want them to stop harassing and threatening me. I will take care of the bill but not through them. I do not want anything to do with them and I want them to quit calling my number.

Review: my house hold been getting phone calls from the company not stating who the message is for and threaten legal action if no one called.I finally called and demanded who they are calling for.they said my sister [redacted] I said she don't live here and she said she talked to you guys after they kept calling my cell phone to speak to her.Now they call my house and I asked for address so I can report them for harassment.I got the address and its different from location [redacted].the customer service are rude and I said some colorful words before hanging up.Desired Settlement: I wanted this business to get lower score for poor practice and VERY POOR customer service.I just want the harassment to stop.

Review: They call my phone everyday looking for a family member. When I call them back they give me a different story every time I talk to them. They have the family members phone number and when they call that family member they hang up on them. They say they have a debt to collect but the amount changes each time. I have told them to quit calling me and they will not. They also share information with me that would be private if this was a real debt collector.Desired Settlement: I would like them to quit calling me.

Review: This company had been calling myself and my mother for four months. They were leading me to believe that they were collecting for [redacted] on a loan I took out a few years ago. When asked for information on the mail, they refused and offered to email me because there was not enough time to use postal mail, I would be sued in a matter of days. They were very rude from the very beginning.

Believing those was a scam, I called the FTC. As suggested, when I spoke to them again, I asked for a lawyer or debt collection license number. They refused and hung up on me. When I asked them to stop calling my mother, one rep who said she was Michelle Lewis said "in going to call her right now" and hung up on me. This was all about two months ago. Since then, my mom and I recieve sometimes a call a day from numbers all over the United states worth a recording stating that it is Copper, Hoffman, Klein & Associates and THIS is my final courtesy call and no attempt to resolve the issue today will mean I will go to court. I recieve this exact call many times a week for maybe over two months.Desired Settlement: They are scaring people into paying them for bills that I'm pretty sure do not reflect payment to the company they claim to be collecting for. I would like them held accountable and return money from those who did pay them.

Review: I have recieved several calls from this company over the last month stating that I have a bad check with them regarding a cash loan taken out of one of the high interest money lending companies. When looking further into the deal, I had googled the company or lawfirm and nothing pulls up and all the testamonies and complaints are about this company and how they are a scam and how they call from different numbers and are redirected to a different number! They gave me a settlement fee of 325 but because I couldnt make the alloted payment on time now I owe over 1400.00. I asked the gentleman that I have been dealing with who his name is Anthony Freeman of Cooper Hoffman Klein and Associates (804)318-3687 Ext. 309...other numbers are 916-347-9437(California) and 614-450-1476(Ohio)...when asked about these numbers I was told that they have branches all over the place! I have not recieved any paperwork regarding this issue nor emails, so to me that was a red flag. Please tell me that this is a scam. Now it has been turned over to litigation and now are being threatened with a judgement. I am self employed and they cant go after me that way!.. But most law offices wouldnt put you on hold and I have had that alot with this company, its like they are conversing amongst themselves! Please Help get this taken care of and want to know if this is a scam or not?Desired Settlement: to have this completely resolved...have this debt completely wiped off my credit!

I tried to obtain information on this company through them would not give it when asked several times. Asked personal information about and social security number. I looked online and this company had several scam alerts. And they use several different numbers with clients and make threats to all clients.Desired Settlement: I hope this business gets shut down and I hope to receive no more scams from this business.

Review: Copper and Hoffman Klein Associates are very unprofessional and rude. Numerous harassment calls received.

I called the Co. back and they were very rude. Blatantly lying, stating they transferred my call to a "deputy officer" with L.A County [redacted]. When I asked for his badge #, " [redacted]" gave on a 3 digit #. Law enforcement officers have 5 digits. I asked numerous times what the call was referring to, individual continued to yell at me, stating I have criminal complaints filed on me, was I just trying to take people's money. Yelled several times the question of " Where is your location!!" I stated I refused to give any information over the phone. I was more than happy to make payment arrangements but needed documentation mailed to my home. Individual continued to talk over me. I finally hung up. I redialed the [redacted]. I then spoke to a "[redacted]". I informed her of the previous individual and explained that I needed documentation, before making any payment, she then put me on hold for several minutes, then I was hung up on. The Co went as far as having an individual from the local sheriff's department call me with a bogus demand to comply with the co, and they would have deputies dispatched to my place of employment. I later looked the Co up through the Revdex.com to see they have had numerous complaints.Desired Settlement: This company needs to be reprimanded for their blatant lies and scare tactics. The way they process their collections needs to be evaluated. I need for them to stop calling my cell [redacted] along with the following contact [redacted]

Review: This firm has been harassing me for 2 months. I have called back multiple times because they are calling the wrong number. They are extremely rude and offensive towards me-- and they are calling the wrong person.Desired Settlement: Take my name and number off of your call list.

Multiple people call constantly in a failed attempt to harass me for a variance of issues I have never been associated. This business needs to be sued. This business needs to be shut down. Review: This company keeps calling me at work telling my I owe a payday loan through [redacted] and told me I had 2 hours to pay or there would be criminal charges against me and they would take away my driver license from me.

They were extremely rude to me screaming at me on the phone! Then just yesterday they had a man saying he was a police officer [redacted] from Cleveland, Ohio and that he was going to come to my work or home in Toledo, Ohio and pick me up if I didn't come up with money for them or give them my debit account # then he proceeded to tell me I had until this coming Friday before noon to call him with a form of payment or he was coming to get me!! The scary thing is I really did take out a loan with [redacted] but the amount of money they said I owed kept changing. I did send them money after the first phone call that was made to me thinking it was on the up and up. But the more I thought about it something just didn't seem right to me and when they had called me back I requested paper work and a receipt showing the money I had already given them and they flipped out on me!! That's when I knew in my heart this had to be some sort of scam! Its sad that people are taking money from people who don't have a lot of money to begin with! I'm a single mother of 2 that's barely getting by as it is and there taking advantage of people in the same boat as me and it makes me sick!Desired Settlement: I do not want them contacting me in any way any more!! I hope they get into trouble with the law for trying to scam people out of their money by threatening them and lying to them!! It needs to stop. They got away with my money and I'm sure they've got money from other people too. Its not right!!! I would love to be able to get my money back but I doubt that's going to happen.

Review: On November 17, 2015 I was contacted by the office manager of a previous employer who stated that Cooper & Hoffman was continuously calling their office. She stated that I needed to contact Cooper & Hoffman via [redacted]. I contacted the office and was informed that they were a collection agency for [redacted]. I was informed that I did not honor a cash advance in 2013 and the amount that needed to be paid was $642.90. I informed the woman that I could not pay because I was on a tight budget and I just could not commit to a payment plan. I was told to hold on for a moment. Jeremy P[redacted] picked up and immediately he was aggressive, intimidating, verbally abusive, bullying me from the moment he answered the phone.

He stated that he was an attorney for the company and that the only thing he needed to know is when I get paid and what day I get paid. I continued to inform Mr. [redacted] that I had not worked in some time and was trying to get caught up on my bills. [redacted] responded by saying that he pulled my W2 and tax information. He stated that he knew I was working and that I had to pay the amount due. I informed him that I was not comfortable speaking with him because he was rude and persistent. I told him I wanted to speak with an attorney to get advise.

[redacted] went into a rage stating that he was going to embarrass me, I was a criminal, I was going to jail, he was suspending my drivers license as of today. He continued to say that he was going to send a deputy to my resident/job, he was tired of chasing me down and informed me to shut my mouth as he forcefully verbally abused me. I felt I was being bullied and I too became enraged and began to explode with profanity. I felt h was constantly beating me with his words. I am just getting back to on my feet while I am not making the same amount of money as before I am trying to make things work. I can't believe people are allowed to speak to anyone in that manner. I pray this company is shut down.Desired Settlement: I can not express how much I NEVER want to experience something like this ever again. I have never felt so belittled in my entire life. I have had some extremely hard times but I am trying to get myself together and I do not deserve to be treated like this. I pray something is done to this individual and this company is put out of business. I have spoken with the office assistant manager for [redacted] who was very apologetic. She was informed of my situation but was told that it would go to a collection agency. However, she never imagined that would occur. She also informed me that this company was trying to scam and scare people to pay the balance due but assured me that my drivers license would and could not be suspended for that reason. Please either refrain this company from calling me and anyone else with this mentality, It is hurtful and disturbing.

Review: For several days, Cooper Hoffman Klein & Associates has been calling my cell phone for another person 1-2 times a day. When I call them back at 866-812-1867, I get put in a holding queue. When I finally spoke to someone, when I tried to confirm who they were, they hung up on me. I was hung up 3 times before I finally got someone to take my request to update their records saying the person they were looking for did not have my cell phone number. This company sounds like a scam when you first hear the voice mail they leave.Desired Settlement: I don't want to be bothered by this company by email, cell phone, or regular mail.
