I am rejecting this response because:
I should not have to wait a week for this company to fix the errors in their systemThey submitted fraudulent information in regards to my background, and I immediately faxed them the correct informationA quick, free public search of court house records proves that their information is inaccurate, so I do not understand why their investigation took so longTheir red tape is of no concern to me when I am trying to move and I am being denied because this company has supplied information in regards to my backgroundPerhaps my biggest concern is how this company can affect someone's livelihoodErroneous information is being given out that can prevent someone from obtaining housing or employment, like it did in my caseI would like to know what steps this company takes to ensure that the information in their system is accurate and up-to-dateA quick *** search provides MANY, MANY bad reviews on this companyIt seems I am not the only person who has experienced issues with this companyThe claim the company makes on their website is a complete LIEPerhaps it is time for ANOTHER class action lawsuit to be brought against CoreLogic" CoreLogic SafeRent connects you with the most comprehensive and up-to-date informationOur advanced technology models are statistically validated based on facts, not intuition or rules, ensuring a degree of consistency and reliability unmatched in the industryWhatever decision or information service you use, you’ll find the same simple data entry process, rapid turnaround and clear concise results that eliminate the need for judgment calls by your leasing professionals." - A complete and utter falsehood.

Recently applied for a new apartmentThis company was used to pull my credit report, which is normalHowever, the company performed full credit inquires on my credit report in the same dayEach inquiry negatively impacts my scoreThere is nothing that can remedy this situation at this point except time, but I will make sure to proactively check what companies are responsible for pulling my credit reportIf this happens again from CoreLogic (or dba First Advantage Saferent), I will make a more substantial complaint

We were denied on-base housing through the privatized housing due to a negative criminal background check against my husbandDespite entering his SSN and identifying information, the background check that was provided was for a different and criminal manLuckily, the government at the gate had already run a criminal background check off of his SSN that came back clear and correctWe were able to resolve the issue ourselves by connecting the Housing Department with The Visitor Center at the main gateI still proceeded to call Core Logic to make sure this NEVER happens againI was told there was nothing that could be done and that it would probably happen againMy husband shares a common first/last name and birth-date with a career criminalHe doesn't share he same middle name or SSN however I was told these often are not used for the background checkThis has effected his employment and now almost cost us our base privileges

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response from the business, because they are not changing their policy of reporting incorrect information on housing applicants. In fact, in their response, they admit to spreading false information. In their letter, they say themselves that "Due to the nature of public records, the records returned may or may not pertain to the applicant." Therefore, instead of using an applicant's social security number to ensure correct information, they are still depending on faulty information collection that results in people being denied housing.

Review: Hello,

Re: [redacted]: [redacted] I am writing because I recently applied for an apartment, and was declined. I then received a letter from your Organization that contains very interesting information that is included in your files. I am very disheartened to learn that the information you have, caused me to waste $150.00 for an online application, being denied tenancy, and on top of that – knowing that the information contained in your filed is 100% inaccurate. This has me very concerned with the way this country and the way business being conducted is headed. And I am pissed off and am not going to idly stand by and allow you to tarnish my name.

Your business model is heavily flawed, if all you can do is attempt to match a name to an address – and then come up with the wrong information and the wrong person – with the same name. I’ve never been evicted from an apartment in Brooklyn.

So this is what is going to happen... CoreLogic, will clearly and effectively remove my name from your records, since I have never lived at that address in your files. Your information doesn’t even contain my Social Security number and Birthdate. So once you’ve concluded your investigation, that will show you’ve got the wrong person (no matching SS# or Birthdate) – You will submit the correct findings back to CV @ [redacted] and make sure my application is approved.

I ask that there be no questions regarding this and no back and forth. You clearly have the wrong person. You will be required to do actual work and investigate and make sure you have the correct information and do right by me! That’s all. I expect to hear from you no later than COB today!Desired Settlement: I ask that there be no questions regarding this and no back and forth. You clearly have the wrong person. You will be required to do actual work and investigate and make sure you have the correct information and do right by me! That’s all. I expect to hear from you no later than COB today!

Response:

This e-mail is in response to correspondence we received from your office dated Novembe 17, 2014, regarding the complaint filed by [redacted].

Review: Core Logic services has provided inaccurate information about me to their clients. As a result I have been denied service. In order to dispute their provided information I contacted Safe rent by phone and was given a list of necessary items to fax. I gathered all information and faxed on 2/19/13.

I followed up and was told that my fax had been received and that the dispute would be handled.

Today is 3/12/13 and I called again to follow up to see that the claim was handled. The service representative told me that my dispute had been overlooked due to confusion about my case, yet nobody had contacted me to clarify. I was told that my dispute resolution time (30days) would be reset. The information being provided by Safe logic is prohibiting me from entering into a residential lease, and the lease I am currently in ends this week.Desired Settlement: I'd like to see Safe Rent properly update the information they are providing their clients. Where they show I have 2 felony convictions, I need those removed in accordance with the court order I have provided them. I also would like to see them reimburse me for: any fee their client may charge me for attaining records, as well as the dues I am obligated to pay as a result of any inconvenience.
