Revdex.com Case ID: [redacted] [redacted]
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by [redacted] (“Mr. [redacted]”) on May 6, 2017.
On March 29, 2017, Mr. [redacted] contacted Cornerstone with questions regarding his account. It was agreed that Cornerstone would contact our client and provide answers to the questions Mr. [redacted] had about insurance/payment coverage. Cornerstone also agreed to send Mr. [redacted] the documentation for his account. Cornerstone did communicate with our client and we do have the necessary documentation to validate the debt. The employee who handled the call on March 29, 2017 no longer works for Cornerstone. He did not make his manager aware of the account and required follow-up prior to leaving the Company.
The unpaid account was reported to the credit bureau on May 1, 2017. Cornerstone erred in the timing of reporting the account. The account was processed for deletion on May 10, 2017. We apologize for this error and have taken steps to improve the handling of this type of issue.
In summary, Cornerstone has mailed out the necessary documentation to validate the account directly to Mr. [redacted]. The account has been processed for credit deletion.
In closing, if Mr. [redacted] should have any further questions regarding his account or this response, he can contact me directly at 907-770-8120, or toll-free at 1-877-375-8100.
Sincerely,
Jeremy R[redacted]
Director of Collections

“Revdex.com” (Revdex.com). Dissemination, distribution, copying or disclosure of this information to a third party in any form including but not limited to publishing consumer information on the internet is strictly prohibited. September 4, 2015 Revdex.com Case ID: [redacted] Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by [redacted] (“Mr. [redacted]”) on September 1, 2015. Mr. [redacted]’s complaint states that he was treated unprofessionally and in a disrespectful way by one of our representatives. Additionally, Mr. [redacted] states that he has been paying faithfully every month all he could afford. Mr. [redacted] current balance with interest is $6948.58. His most recent payment of $100 was posted to his account on September 1, 2015. Other than missed payments for July and August 2015, Mr. [redacted] has made regular and consistent payments for years. Our representatives may suggest a portion of the annual Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) be applied towards a consumer’s indebtedness; however, this is voluntary on the part of the consumer. It is not our policy to require a portion of the PFD be used for repayment of a debt. We apologize for the communication with Mr. [redacted] and our office regarding this matter. Please be assured that Cornerstone takes this complaint, and any consumer complaint, very seriously. Mr. [redacted] may continue to make his regular monthly payments as he has done. In summary, Cornerstone apologizes for the unprofessionalism received from our collection representative. Consumer complaints are investigated promptly, thoroughly, and dealt with appropriately. Cornerstone trusts this response answers any questions your office has regarding Mr. [redacted]’s complaint. If you have any other questions, or require any other information, please contact the undersigned. In closing, if Mr. [redacted] should have any further questions regarding his account or this response, he can contact me directly at [redacted], or toll-free at [redacted] Sincerely, Jeremy R[redacted]Director of Collections

“Revdex.com” (Revdex.com). Dissemination, distribution, copying or disclosure of this information to a third party in any form including but not limited to publishing consumer information on the internet is strictly prohibited. August 16, 2017 Revdex.com Case ID: [redacted] [redacted] Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by [redacted] (“[redacted]”) on August 8, 2017. [redacted]’s complaint states that he disputed a bill directly with Cornerstone Credit Services (“Cornerstone”), and that in return was notified that Cornerstone could not find him or his account in collections. On August 2, 2017 Cornerstone received a dispute letter via fax from telephone number [redacted]. The 310 area code connects to Los Angeles, California and the surrounding area. The written dispute contained a return address for the consumer that did not entirely match that of our records. The contents of the letter were found to be nearly identical to similar letters received from other (unrelated) consumers. Therefore, Cornerstone had reason to believe that the dispute letter was submitted from a credit repair organization and not directly from [redacted]. In response to the letter, Cornerstone informed [redacted] in writing on August 3, 2017, that we received the dispute but would not be performing an investigation. Cornerstone did, however, identify the disputed account within the company’s collection system and processed the account as disputed to the credit bureau on August 2, 2017. [redacted]’s complaint contained an address and telephone number that matched our company records. Cornerstone has received the account documentation from General Communication Inc. and has mailed this documentation to the return address listed in [redacted]’s complaint. In summary, Cornerstone has processed the account as disputed with the credit bureau and has mailed out the account documentation to [redacted]

2015 to make sure all his questions and concerns would be resolved. Seeing a portion of Mr. [redacted]’s complaint was addressed to the original client ([redacted] it would have been inappropriate to speak on their behalf through this response. The account ([redacted]# [redacted]) was listed into collections on March 16, 2015. The validation letter was mailed out on March 17, 2015. Our first verbal communication with Mr. [redacted] was on April 15, 2015, at which time he verbally disputed the account. Mr. [redacted] was mailed the documentation for the account on May 1, 2015. The account was reported to the credit bureau as an unpaid, disputed collection account on June 1, 2015. The account was processed for credit deletion on August 3, 2015 and payment in full was received in our office on August 7, 2015. On August 13, 2015, a representative telephoned Mr. [redacted] to notify him that his account would be updated to the credit bureau as paid in full only. This misinformation ultimately caused Mr. [redacted] to file the complaint. As an acknowledgment of the above, Cornerstone mailed out a paid in full letter to Mr. [redacted] on August 14, 2015. In summary, Cornerstone has processed credit bureau deletion for the account and has mailed Mr. [redacted] a paid in full letter. Cornerstone trusts this response answers any questions your office has regarding Mr. [redacted]’s complaint. If you have any other questions, or require any other information, please contact the undersigned.
