On 5/22/2013, this member entered into a closed end auto loan agreement by which she was disclosed the terms of the loan verbally by phone and then signed the Security Agreement and Disclosure Statement that describes the terms of the loan including the month term In addition, she signed the Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Contract that describes the term of the loan at months in addition to the full details of coverage including the maximum term coverage of months and that advances added to the loan after the effective date of the loan would not be covered by the protection From inception of the loan, the this member has had a total of $1,in late charges added to her loan as shown below These charges plus any accrued interest would not be covered with the GAP protections per the signed contract as late charges are not included in the protected balance Late Charges Paid - $ - $ - $ - $ Total - $1, Tthe difference in the payout of months versus months was about $ This member paid $for the GAP coverage and received $in benefits from the coverage after her insurance paid $11,leaving her an outstanding balance owed to Corporate America Family Credit Union of $1, Tell us why here

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/06/19) */ The account [redacted] established on August 19, 2005 is a Quick Cash Line of Credit, which is a personal, revolving line of credit. This means the member had the ability to borrow, pay back, and re-borrow the principal on a... revolving basis over the life of the line of credit, from 2005 to current date. Although the member made monthly minimum payments of $75.00 for the loan she continued to make advances on the funds available on the line of credit, so her balance did not decrease and interest continues to accrue. The fee the member is referring to is Loan Debt Cancellation Insurance that the member signed up for. We are always hopeful that our members will respond to our efforts to work together to achieve resolution to any matter. I would encourage the member to contact her branch office at XXX-XXX-XXXX Option 6 Ext 7150 to discuss this loan further. Thank you. Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/06/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have not taken any cash advances in over 4 years and I did not sign up or agree to monthly charge for debt cancellation services. Please review and adjust my account accordingly. Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2015/07/02) */ Our branch staff spoke with the member on June 25 to discuss her loan and insurance . They mailed the member the original signed agreement for her to review and also included a cancellation form for her to complete and return. We have not received it as of today. Our Branch Manager has tried to contact the member several times this week to follow-up but we have not received a call back. We did however in good faith reverse a late fee as a courtesy. I am hopeful that the member will return our Branch Managers call to continue conversations to bring any further concerns to a close.

I don not except the business response because in addition to finally closing the account that I have been asking them to close for almost a yearCorporate America Family Credit Union changed several things on the account before closing the account; damaging my credit score even moreI Spoke with Tranunion supervisor Glen at ###-###-#### on Thursday November 09, and the account has changed from a revolving credit card account to an unsecured loan and the Balance has changed from $to $This account has been harming my credit score since December of I've been trying to contact them; I've been bounced around and hung up on and to have to go through these measures and they still trying to harm my credit is ridiculousI'm now asking that the account be completely removed from my credit report because correcting the changes that has been made will only damage my credit score even more

When I signed a car loan agreement, I agreed to months and purchased gap insuranceI was involved in a car accident and was not at fault but the gap coverage did not cover the complete balance of approx $It only covered a little over $The reason that was provided to me is because my loan exceeded months by month..they said I had a months agreement, which no one advised me ofFurthermore, no one told me that it would impact my gap coverageIf I had known, I would ensured that I would not have exceeded monthsNow, I am stuck with a balance on a car that is a complete loss and Corporate America doesn't careI would like for someone to review my case and consider waiving the balance since I did not agree to a months agreement and I did not know it would affect my gap coverageAlso, I think it is irresponsible for a company not to provide their customers with the best information so that they can make informed financial decisions

This is by the worst credit union I have ever had business withThey lie about practices and its not across the boardThey will go in your account and take funds without prior consent and regardless to how this puts you in a difficult situation they feel that they have a right This is the worst credit union in IllinoisDo not I repeat Do not bank with themI have sent this to every individual that I know that have an account with themyou have to give them a star to leave a comment but they don't deserve a star period

I applied for a loan to refinance my car with an added cosigner and my application was APPROVEDWhen I began to send over the requested documents to complete the loan process, I was given reason after reason as to why my cosigner would not be sufficientWith each reason that was given, I would send in additional documentation to back itThen another reason would come up, I would send in additional documentation, then another reason would come up etcThis went on for a month until I was told by the loan office supervisor, Kellie *** that the loan could not be approved because my cosigners pay "fluctuates" and that it needed to be "steadier"My cosigner is an event planner, of course her pay fluctuates; however I provided proof that she makes no less than the amount that was stated on the application when it was APPROVED, but yet I was still told the loan would not go throughMany careers have pay that fluctuatesdoctors, lawyers, therapist etcBelow are the different reasons that I was given:
The employment letter head address does not match the paycheck stub- Well of course not, many actual business locations are different from where the paychecks come fromThe employment letter is not signed- I sent it back and got it signedThere are no federal taxes taken out the paycheck- Well no, my cosigner files exempt as you can clearly see on the pay stubI was then offered an apology from Jennifer ***, loan officer, for giving me the incorrect informationWe can not include tips or bonuses into the income- Fine deduct that amount and my cosigner still makes no less than the amount given on the application at the time of the APPROVALThe debt to income ratio for your cosigner is to high- This was the last reason I was given after it allMind youthis reason came a month later after I was already "APPROVED" with my cosignerIt is my opinion that my loan was not completed because they wanted someone to cosign with me who had "steadier" income which was the word choice Kellie *** usedI do not think they wanted someone who makes a different amount of money each pay period even though the pay never falls below the amount that the approval was based ofIn my cosigners employment letter, the general manager stated how much my cosigner made with the minimum being the amount given on the applicationIn addition to that, my cosigner had a part time job that I provided proof of and that income was not even factored into the approval amount, so it was essentially extra incomeEven with that, I was still turned downI turned down another offer to refinance because I was given an approval by ***I wasted an entire month of sending them documentationAnd even though the documentation proved everything on the applicationI was still told no in the endI have a series of emails that can validate everything in this review

I am a member of a different credit union and have used or tried to use the Bristol, CT Corporate America Family Credit Union shared branch on multiple occasionsAfter my husband and I married we had a number of checks with both of our names on themHowever, only my name is on the accountThey would not deposit my checks, but to add insult to injury they were incredibly rude about itI avoided using this shared branch and instead mailed all of my checks to my credit union out of stateWhen it came time to take money out of the account to put a downpayment on a home, I specifically went out of my way to find the next closest shared branch, minutes away, to get the bank check or cashier's check that was requestedHowever, the branch did not issue themSo, I was forced to try the Corporate America Family Credit Union in Bristol, CT again Partway through the process the manager, who was filling in as a teller that day (Esther ***), noticed that my license had my maiden name and my bank account had my married name (I switched it when I changed my last name, but my license hadn't expired and didn't need to be changed until it did)She checked to see if she could still make the transaction and was able to without any issues So, I started making deposits in this Bristol branch again for convenienceThe first time the teller insisted that she couldn't deposit my check, I suggested she go ask the manager who had done the bank check a few weeks prior She came back and followed through with cashing the check but made it clear through her tone and general demeaner that I was inconveniencing her because I was making her do more workShe pulled out a book of out of state licenses to make sure mine was legit and made me answer a bunch of questions concerning my personal identification The particular teller remembered me each time I came in and always seemed annoyed because she had to take the extra step to put my license number down on the withdrawl formHowever, I was never told that I wasn't allowed to make a deposit or withdrawl from then on Until today, when I went to make a withdrawal to pay for work being done to my car Because the business only took cash or checks, I had no other option but to take money out of my savings accountI had a different teller than usual who of course said she didn't think she could make the transaction because the name on my license didn't match up to name on the accountI explained that another teller thought that too, but the manager okayed it and in fact that manager also gave me a cashier's check for $2,a few months agoAfter checking with that manager, Esther ***, she informed that the transaction would not be approved I asked to speak with the manager *** told me that her staff was told to tell me that there would not be any exceptions made after the time that she wrote the bank check for my mortgageI explained that this was the first I was hearing this and that I needed access to my money because I could only pay to get my car fixed with cash She was incredibly rude and unhelpful *** insisted that I knew that no exceptions would be made However, I quickly pointed out that not only had staff never told me that in all of the times I had gone in to make make deposits over the summer, but that she herself never said that during the initial transaction for the bank check*** said that she had made a special exception for the bank check and that she could ruin the credit union's entire relationship with other shared branches if she let me withdraw the money todayWhen pressed as to why she made previous exceptions if she wasn't supposed to *** said that we were in a private business and that she could ask me to leave, alluding to a threat to call policeIt was completely over the top and unneccesary When I asked for her supervisor's number *** would only give me the number and refused to give me the person's direct lineMy mother who happened to be visiting from out of town asked her to call the supervisor and she said she "didn't have time." There was a complete lack of understanding on her part and she could not have handled the situation any worse, literally yelling at us in the lobby of the credit union No one was swearing, our voices were raised She could have asked us to step into her office Instead, she chose to confront us in front of her customers I can't believe they would put someone with such terrible people skills in charge Someone with good customer service skills would have said, "I'm sorry there's been a miscommunication We will do this one last time." Afterall, she knew that I needed to the cash in order to get my car, so time was of the essenceEach time I have gone to this branch I have been made to feel like an identity thief, when in fact my husband and I are both professionals who work at two of the largest media corporations in the world I would not recommend doing business with this branch
