I am submitting this letter as an official notice that I have been treated unfairly by the staff at Pure View at TPC. I have been continuously treated unfairly, targeted and now I am being retaliated against after recently moving out of my apartment this July.

After turning in keys, I was billed my final statement and I needed clarification on the listed charges. I called the office multiple times in an attempt to reach a staff member to explain my Final Account Statement. When I was finally able to make contact with someone in the office, they refused to go over the information. This is not the first time they would not speak to me regarding my account, concerns or questions. I asked the Property Manager, ***, for her to go over my bill and she couldn’t be bothered by my questions. She was very short and unconcerned with my inquiries and told me she was too busy to answer any further questions. After that I asked for corporates contact information and she replied with “you have Google, you can find it there”.

I believe I am being treated unfairly and discriminated against because of my two service animals who lived in my home and always seemed to be of a concern to management. As required, I provided all the proper documentation at the time of move in for my 2 dogs. The certificate was provided and approved by management. During my stay at the community with my dogs, I followed all the rules and policies required but felt that management was trying to find issue with me and my dogs.

It was on multiple occasions, that I received harassing letters to my apartment.
1) My dogs urinated in the elevators. However, with other dogs in the building I am not sure why my animals were put at blame.
2) My dogs defecated in front of my door. This was actually mud that got stepped on and smeared right outside of the elevator.
a. I was never addressed about this and was sent a notification that I was being fined for the mess in the front of my door, but this was because another resident said she saw my dogs do this. I immediately addressed the staff about this and let them know it wasn’t feces it was mud but they just reminded me to pay it and did not remove it from my account.
3) I was charged excessively on my Final Statement upon move out. Total balance due is for $5,417.28 for damage done mainly by my dogs. $4000 is being charged for the flooring to be redone in the unit. They state they need to replace the floor? Seriously, I am being charged for a replacement of concrete stained floors? The picture does not represent a unit completely destroyed by animals. Again, this is another example of the staff discriminating against my dogs. Is this something that all animal owners on this type of flooring are charged? I don’t believe my dogs have done anything to damage this floor. Minor scratches are to be expected after a year in the unit with animals. There should be some type of allowance for normal wear and tear.

The list of charges on my statement seem very aggressively made by charging for items I never received any type of move out instructions on. While I accept full responsibility for the minor cleaning and items left behind from my move out I believe that they targeted me on so many other items in retaliation to me and my service animals.

I have lived in several apartments over the years and have never had an experience that made me feel as victimized for having service animals as I did at Pure View TPC.
