I have now been in contact with the general manager of pool city since I felt that the matter was not being handled by the Robinson store The general manager has now given me his direct number to contact I still feel the stores service is terrible and I would of already had a pool in regardless of weather if they had not made large errors to begin with Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

To: Whom it may Concern This customer came in for a free transmission evaluation we tried to move the car into our facility for the free check and the car shut off, and would not start backThere was no charge for this free serviceWe told her we would do a transmission checkHer problem was not the transmissionWe are a transmission repair facility not a general repair shopShe was referred by a general repair shop because they could not determine what was wrong with the carWe simply gave her our suspicionsThe engine was spinning free as if it had no compression this is usually a timing issue We conveyed this information to the customerWe then explained that her problems were larger than we were equipped to handled and suggested she find another repair shopWe also told her that if she had broken a timing set with miles on her engine it would most likely need replacedWe never performed or charged her to perform a diagnostic In close she came to us for a free service that we were unable to performDue to the nature of her failureThe customer expressed that she was upset that we would not diagnose her engine problem at no chargeThe evaluation we perform at no charge requires her engine to be operational so that we may perform a road testSince her engine was not operational no Diagnostics were performedWe make no claim or guarantee to perform a free engine diagnosticsso at this time we are not inclined to pay her $for letting us attempt a free service Sincerely Cottman Transmission General Manager [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below It is surprising to see that MrB [redacted] had time to respond in a timely manner, as he never had time for us prior to the submission of this complaint I understand how this issue is difficult to comprehend due to the extreme challenges this company faces regarding communication Unfortunately, the facts stated by MrB [redacted] are incorrect A quote was never provided for digging, nor was the need for a retaining wall discussed I would like to review a copy of the prepared quote stating the price and the possible need, including cost, of the retaining wall, as one was never provided Pool City is the responsible party because they sent the installer who marked where to dig for the pool, incorrectly estimated the dig, and approved the dig by our excavator prior to it taking place, but after being told of the depth and angle requiredThe land was tapered on sides where room allowed; however, the one side made tapering impossible This was all made very clear as I spoke to MrB [redacted] before any excavation took place He said to dig it, and that it would not be a problem as long as the bottom of the hole was levelI can submit phone records indicating that this communication took place prior to any excavation work taking placeThe excavator dug according to the Pool City installer's markings, making Pool City the responsible party I find it impossible to believe that Pool City can understand our frustration since they failed keep appointments or even call to cancel those missed appointments It is silly to state that you have no control over the slope of the property, as I would never expect that What I did expect, and request during purchase, was that you come and see what needs to be done and what size pool would fit I was not unhappy with the provided quote, as one was never written The Pool City paperwork I did receive clearly states that jobs over inches are by bid, and we would have to pay the contractor directly That is what was done I understand that Pool City may have difficulty taking responsibility for their incompetence, and I hope they resolve their communication issues In the meantime, I will be sharing my negative experience via social media and by word of mouth I do not want any of my friends or relatives to endure such a terrible experience Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below So I can make it clear, any miscommunication that occurs between an customer and a place of business would be the fault of the business, as they are the ones providing the service and product MrB [redacted] is correct when he says that I am citing line #on page of the preparation guide He is also correct that #indicates the ground must be level The issue is not with the ground being level, instead, the issue is with the one side of the hole where the retaining wall is needed I can understand how he would be unclear as to why Pool City is being held responsible, as there is a definite [redacted] of communication amongst everyone who should be working together to make the pool installation go smoothly As stated earlier, we were very clear in saying that we needed a professional to tell us what needed done in order to install the pool since it was our first pool purchase and our yard was sloped We were told that it would not be a problemThey happily took our deposit, and then the trouble beganOne of the biggest reasons we decided to go with a different excavator is because we were blown off for almost two weeks after the first call from MrB*** He called on Thursday, March to say he would be out the very next day Since he was obviously not going to bother with us, we called Pool City on April 11th to find out where he was We asked Sandy L [redacted] for another installer to do the work, but was told that there was not another one available This was our main reason for using another excavatorIt would have been a great idea to have someone discuss the issues that could arise from using another excavator when we indicated that we were thinking of using someone else Furthermore, saying "we cannot consult an outside excavator" would have been an excellent and acceptable answer to provide before we dug It's a little late to say that after we dug A Pool City employee marked the pool, and our excavator followed his direction Does that make the connection any more clear? We could have spoke about this with MrB***; however, he never returned any of our callsAgain, had MrB***, head of installation, ever followed up on this job, he would be very clear how the conversation about the retaining wall materializedAs MrB [redacted] mentioned, and even though he says it is not in the business, MrB [redacted] told our excavator to do the dig as discussed After that, MrB [redacted] came to our house and spoke about the retaining wall We were told that MrB [redacted] was going to come to talk about options, but for over a week, he never came or even called Once again, we never got a quote MrB [redacted] was supposed to give us a quote for the retaining wall, but he called and said he couldn't do the wall because his equipment couldn't handle the large blocks needed to build the wall MrB [redacted] should have known this, but once again, there was a [redacted] of communicationI am sorry that it is difficult for Pool City to understand these issues, as they obviously face challenges with communication I am happy to answer any more questions that MrB [redacted] has because it is evident that he never followed up on this issue himself In the meantime, I will be sharing these messages with everyone I know so they can avoid Pool City Regards, [redacted] ***

Ms. ***I have spoken to Mrs. [redacted] today and arranged for a meeting at her home on Tuesday July 26th. I am certain we will be able to get this matter resolved and compensate the [redacted] s for the inconvenience that this experience has caused them.I will follow up with an additional response... once we have made this appointment.Sincerely,Mark B***Pool City Director of Service and Installation

I am rejecting this response because: the business lied that the car would not startup, when in actually the car started only hours later when I went to pick it upThe car was turned off and restarted and driven after they said it wouldn'tThe tow truck driver which I had called due to the lie I was told that the car would not start started the car and drove it himself in their parking lot! It actually drove for more days after that without a problem and I have witnesses to that including additional repairmenIf the car was never looked at or diagnosed how could they determine it was the timing? Or how could you make any assumption when NOTHING was done regardless if it was free or not! I feel these people wasting a complete day of my time, interfering with my time at work and a waste of gas and resources that I had to provide due to them telling me, who I thought was a reputable company that the car was inoperable! The car has been repaired, it was NOT the timing nor the transmission which I am sure they could have told me if the car was actually diagnosed

So that I can clear up Pool City's position in this matter, I will try to explain a few items that seem to be missing in the translation between the sales person, the installer and the ***'s.Ms*** is quoting Line #on page of the preparation guide that is intended to establish what an installation includesShe has not mentioned Line #from the first page of that same document, which states "If customer chooses to have ground excavated by anyone other than the assigned installer, the ground must be prepared properly for a level installation." If in fact MrB*** did not quote the ***'s a price to excavate then the question that seems pertinent is why would the ***'s go outside the network to have the yard prepared for installation? There is no where on the preparation guide that indicates that Pool City accepts responsibility for another contractor's actions.I understand where the ***'s feel it was Charlie B***'s responsibility to inform them of the depth of the dig needed for their poolWhen they chose to look to an outside excavator, that same excavator indicated that the dig was more than MrB*** had stated it wasMrB*** mentioned that you contacted him when your excavator was preparing to dig to have him consult the operator during the excavationThat is not something that is in this businessIf consumers make the decision to bring in their own people to prepare the site for installation, it is the responsibility of the homeowner to see that the work is completed properlyI miss the connection of where Pool City is responsible for the work completed by an outside contractor.MrB*** also mentioned in our discussions regarding the *** job that he offered suggestions and also got a quote for the stonework needed for a retaining wallAgain, I am confused if he never spoke to the ***'s regarding a retaining wall then where did that conversation materialize? I'm hard pressed to believe he acted completely on his own where that is concerned. We are sorry that this has not been a pleasant experience for the ***'s, but again, I do not believe that the entire matter should be placed at the feet of Pool City

This customer has removed her car from our shop after business hours without paying for the diagnostic she agreed toThere was no lien placed on this car it is simply an abandonment letter that is required by the stateShe left her car t our facility for nearly a year. Her car was never sold it was
sent to an offsite storage facilityshe has paid nothing to us but has removed her car. Cottman Transmission has no lien on said vehiclein summary she has her car and has not paid the billWe offered a discount down to an invoice total of $ she then removed the carI am not sure how to help her

It is my understanding that this customer is being installed todayWe quote time frames based on "Weather Permitting"The pool was delivered on Wednesday the 25thThe weather over the weekend did not help matters anyThis should be finished todayThis complaint is a little premature

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as they do send someone outI was told before they were sending someone out to look at it and never did They called me from main office and told me it was not covered by the pictures that I sent them.
