Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/09/17) */ Leases are legally binding documents with agreed upon parameters once they are signed by both partiesWithout signed leases, both parties would be unable to guarantee that either party would fulfill their obligations as agreed As per the original lease you signed on 9/2/14, in the renewal lease you signed on 11/18/and as explained by the staff, Paragraph 3: Lease Term states: "This lease Contract will automatically renew monmonth unless either party gives at least days written notice of termination or intent to move-out." Your 2nd lease was set to expire on 3/2/ Your notice was received on 1/28/indicating that you would be moving out on 3/6/This is a day noticeAt that time we explained again the policy about a day notice being required and explained to you that you would be responsible for the rent through 3/28/ On 2/10/per your email, you would be paying February Rent late, moving out at the end of February and would not be paying the March's rent due to your financial situation and going through a current divorce The lease does not have a "financial burden or divorce clause" that allows you to be released from your obligationYou signed the lease and agreed to the terms and upon move-out were charged damages, utilities, rent, late fees, etcbased upon the leaseYou were sent a Final Statement and required to pay within days of receipt or be turned over to collections We recognize that you paid your rent on time for the first monthsHowever your apartment was not cleaner than when you moved in, as you indicated and you were charged accordingly Additionally, you gave us a bad review and filed this complaint with the Revdex.com and are falsely accusing us of illegal practicesWe are following the lease agreed upon by both parties! We will not refund the balance that was paid as we are legally entitled to the charges per the lease signedWe additionally demand that you take down any bad reviews posted and agree not to post any in the future

Thank you for the opportunity to answer this complaint. We strong disagree with the former resident. Our turnover is below the industry average, and we are proud of our employees. They are trained to always log all resident issues, including maintenance requests and issues into our... property software system. We replaced this resident’s floor not once but twice because he damaged it, along with a kitchen fire that required painting of the apartment home, which we also did. We also let him continue living there despite not one, but two separate incidents of alleged domestic abuse, a copy of which one memo from us to him is attached. He also was late on paying his rent on at least one occasion. He still owes us $1209.95 from him again trashing the floors, and leaving the apartment in such a smoky condition that we had to treat it with “kilz” cleaner, despite our no smoking inside rule. Our collection agency is pursuing this.

After renting from Covington for well over years we have finally purchased a homeWithin that five year period we have witnessed more turn over in staff then any tenant should We requested hardwood floor to be placed into our apartment while we were living there, the manager at the time *** agreed to the terms as long as we agreed to pay an increased amount in rent, which was fine with my wife and i
We reported several issues to the team at covington about our flooring, some issues they resolved other they stated they would handle when we leave the apartmentWell this year in May we moved out, covington is charging me for issues I have reported multiple times, Connie the current manager has advised me that "they have no documentation/records" of anythingWell, I advised her that they do a poor job of keeping records which I she is well aware of that, we had a hole in our bathroom ceiling for several weeks after a flooding, we kept getting advised that someone would come

After having several issues with another neighbor due to excessive noise, the office manager *** continued to argue with me about what happened and accused me situations that never happened*** took the other tenant's side and falsely accused of "petrifying the poor girl"
I have also had to call several times for months to get my furnace fixed that is still not getting fixed

We have re-contacted the consumer, and they said the alarm is now fine

I cannot say enough how much I LOVE Covington Place! Me and my husband moved to Saint Louis from out of town and we refused to rehome our dogs due to the strict dog rules that usually come with big citiesWe fell IN LOVE with CovingtonThey have a huge dog park, and pet spa that we use all of the timeBut as we have lived here, we've realized what an amazing community Covington really isNot only do they give us so many amenities, but their staff is great! We lived in a two bedroom apartment, which we lovedThe appliances were up to date and in beautiful shape, it was very clean, and the building was great! Any problems we had were addressed immediately! When my husband and I decided to start our family, they were so generous and helpful in transferring to one of their beautiful townhomesWe have so much space, and the quality is beautifulWe absolutely love our townhome, and so do our dogs and I'm confident we have the space we need to start our family!
Amanda in the leasing office has always been very helpful, and attentive to our needs and request, along with all of the other people we have worked with in the leasing officeI cannot say enough how much I love Covington, you will not find a better place to make your home

The owners of Covington Place Apartments are scamming people out of their depositsThey create issues and threaten you with debt collections until they manage to bully you into paying erogenous feesThey are taking advantage of people!I was a tenantOur leases ended October 10th
We met all of their move out requirements, including paying for a
professional carpet cleaners as required by our serviceCovington then
charged us an additional $to have the carpets cleanedThe receipt
for the cleaning was submitted to property owners as requestedI would like a refund of the $dollars they took from
our security depositThey would not budge and used bullying tactics
treating our credit reports

We have lived at this place for almost yearsWe signed our initial lease in March of We were required to pay $security deposit, which we did in the money order method as we were told to do so We still hold a copy of our lease that also states the amount of security deposit we paidWe are required to give a days notice if we plan on moving even when it's the end of the leaseMy lease ended November 30th of I gave my days notice on October 1st by emailing the owner at [email protected] I've emailed that email address before throughout my stay there and received a response backOn October 19th we kept getting calls from the manager, ***, to sign the new leaseOnce told that I've emailed my days notice, she kept harassing me for days claiming that it was never sent even when I forward it to of the office staff emailsThen at last claimed she gotten my forwarded email and the email address [email protected] doesn't exist so therefore

I went out of town for the weekendGot home late Sunday eveningMonday morning my vehicle was towed awayCovington Place says they put a flyer on my door on Friday (I'm guessing AFTER I left for the weekend) saying that all vehicles would need to be moved by a certain time in order to seal the streetsI NEVER received a flyer on my doorThere was nothing in my door when I returned on Sunday eveningThis issue caused me to miss work on Monday and I had to pay $to get my truck backI was not notified that I needed to move my vehicle or it would be towedI would like to be reimbursed $tow fee, $credit card payment fee, and $13.99/hr for hours for my time lost from work; totaling $

My lease recently ended with Covingont Place and they sent me a final statement of charges for damages to the apartmentAfter requiring I provide a receipt for professional carpet cleaning they saw fit to charge me $to replace the carpet due to alleged pet odor and an additional $to re seal the sub floorAfter they refused to provide an accurate statement of charges they now refuse to provide evidence or documentation of any damage to the sub floor

I recently moved from Europe and needed a place to liveI contacted Covington Place Apartments and was told bedrooms were $with bedrooms slightly more and utilities were included with the exception of $monthly for trashI completed the non-refundable $application and received a call that I was not approved because I had no credit historyIt was offered that if I pay a higher deposit of $I could be approvedI was required to pay another $application fee and $downpayment.  I was approved and asked for the remaining deposit - $800, which I paidI was given a lease and while reviewing it I saw various fees that I was not told aboutI decided not to sign the lease and asked for a refund and was only offered half if I wrote positive reviews online about Covington Place ApartmentsI refused

this prospect put down non-refundable money, then on the day of move in, decided she didn’t want to, had something to do with her boyfriend? Here’s the document she signed, please let me know if you need anything else?

In our lease it says that our carpet has to be professionally cleaned prior to moving out, so we did and gave them a receiptWhen the guy who cleaned the carpets left he stopped at the leasing office and told them there was a lingering dog smell coming from the basement where there wasn't carpet because it hadn't been cleaned yetWe cleaned the basement and there is no longer a dog smellA maintenence person came out and said they had to rip up all of our carpet because it smelled like dog and they told us the guy we hired told them that it smelled awful when he left, so I put them on a way call and the office's story changed, imagine thatThen the following day we find out that the next day they are going to rip up our apartment because our dogs apparently peed all over the apartmentThere is no way this is possible, of the bedrooms remained closed so they weren't even in there, and while we were gone they stayed in crates in areas away from the carpetThey did this exact sa
