CPR Cell Phone Repair San Antonio Northeast Reviews (%countItem)

1) As others have noted, this company fradulantly circumvents noting that they are not certified to install iPhone screens and that if they replace the screen your warrenty will be voided. This is the first issue and a major violation basic truth in advertising laws.

2) When my damaged iPhone X screen was first replaced, it immediately bagan intermittently flickering. This was reported less than a month after the screen replacement. Due to the flickering being intermittent, I could never provide proof of the issue occuring until the screen finally failed outright. At this point, I took it to the Apple store, where the guy at the front immediately noted that #1 the screen had been installed incorrectly, with debris visible through the screen when looking into the camera lens, and #2 that the screen was not an OEM screen and therefore I could not make any claim for warrenty repair. With written documentation from Apple indicating both that the screen was incorrectly installed and a knockoff screen, I went back to this company at which point they admitted that they were not licensed to do the repairs and that they had in fact voided my warrenty. They offered to install a damaged OEM screen in place of my completely non-functional knockoff screen, which I reluctantly accepted since it would at least allow me to get a backup of phone contents and get some amount of money when I traded in the phone. Less than a week later, the damaged OEM screen they installed is also non-functional, showing solid green on one side and solid black on the other side (vertical split). With this damage, the trade in I had scheduled with Verizon will no longer be possible and I'm out $312 in trade in value without a working screen.

So when I went and got my phone repaired this last time, I was a bit in a hurry because I was getting ready to drive out of town for my 60/14 day rotation off shore, mind you my sole communication is via cell phone to my kids and wife while I am away, I dropped my phone off while I ran my last couple of errands then my wife got a call that the phone was ready to be picked up (call logs are available), so I went home said my good byes and proceeded to this portable device location, once there I paid for my repairs like normal got my phone began to use the phone, and everything was great until I got outside of san antonio and tried using my SIRI which was not working, so I didnt think much of it gave the young lady a call ( young hispanic girl). I explained to her that siri didnt work she said no problem bring it back in as soon as possible, but at that moment I could not turn back around due to the importance of my job and having to fly out to my gulf location via Helicopter strict itineraries are in place here. So she said once I arrive back to san antonio for me to go ahead and bring it in. So along the i-10 corridor on my way to work I began to notice my music stopped playing and my phone said searching, thinking I must be in a bad service spot I continued to drive then I finally realized there was actually something going on with my phone so I performed a soft reset and low in behold the phone started working again, (never have had this issue before)! So again I give the young lady a call and explained my situation and she said that it was fine that they would address it upon arrival! So now im back from work and I just this morning got an upgrade on my phone. So I then go to portable device fix realizing that I need accesories for my new phone and visit them for my needs like usual and asked them if they would like to purchase the phone from me, because I had no use for it any longer and it caused me a huge inconvenience, but I was still okay with them and service, but then they told me that they had no use for the phone and they werent buying any phones, okay thats fine but then ding light bulb hit and remembered that the phone was still under warranty (screen replacement) for the issues that I had contacted them before so I then retrieved my receipt from the vehicle and brought it in and asked them if they could actually fix the phone instead because it was under warranty and the young lady up front knew about the issues at hand ( she is no longer employed there and I could see why) . So I left the phone with them with the receipt and asked if they could please fix the issues I had been having since I left September 28th, they didnt have a problem at first. 1 hour later I returned and they stated that they couldnt do anything about it because the young lady who used to work there is no longer employed there, and it kind of upset me that they wouldnt honor their warranty work when I've been a great customer every other time. The OWNER or MANAGER then came out which she argued with me that her name was *** and stated that no hispanic girl was working there at the time of my repair which is utter bullcrap, she then got really upset when I told her that they NEEDED to fix the phone, she told me no that there was nothing that she could do and began to get upset, I then stated that it was fine and that I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com which will follow this review as well. At this point she was infuriated with my response and snatched the receipt and said your warranty is void you wanna act like that and took it to the back to void the receipt mind you I still have 3 weeks left on my warranty for what reason she voided and what grounds I have no clue her only uneducated response was why didnt you bring it back why didnt you bring it back and I told her exaclty that that I am bringing it back, and they didnt do anything to resolve it and then she stated well you wanted to sale it at first now you want to fix it, and I said yes that is correct, she was slamming stuff in the back room when she went back there upset and just kept rambling on, and now I know why they still have a NOW HIRING SIGN out front and why theyve closed down some of their locations, who wants to work and do business with these kinds of businesses I surely dont so if youve taken the time to read my review I will tell you

STAY CLEAR OF ANY OF THEIR LOCATIONS

THEY WILL WEASEL OUT OF REPAIRS!
