I took my *** to be repaired at the recommendation of a former iCracked associate. What I am going to explain started probably 1 year ago. Needless to say I am very upset with my service. I originally dropped my *** off to have a battery put in. Which turned into the representative telling me it was a charging port issue. I insisted that I believed it was the battery otherwise the device would have been dead. He proceeds to say he will order a charging port. After about a week of not hearing from the location I called and was informed that, the wrong part (charging port) was ordered and that I would have to wait longer for them to get the battery. I was also informed that the original employee that placed my ticket had been released from the company. Another couple weeks went by and I get a phone call stating to bring my *** in my screen had arrived. I was confused because I was getting a battery, so I called back concerned since I hadn't picked up my ***. Upon reaching someone I was informed that my screen was cracked on the instillation of my battery, and that I could come pick up it and bring it back to have that repaired free of charge. I just said keep it, because at this point I'm annoyed. I stated to keep it and call me when it was repaired. Now another week goes by and I don't hear from the store again. I called to check and was told that the guy who was working on it wasn't there but that someone would contact him and give me a call back. Well surprise I never get a phone call, so again I reach out and was told that it was finally ready to pick up. I picked up the ***, which was charged to about 30%. After being on the charger a couple hours, I still had the charging issue, so I took it back to see what the problem was. Again about a week went by and I had to call to see what was going on. I was told it was fixed and charged to 100% and was good to go. After 2 hours of using my *** this time, the battery was drained which I thought was odd.

Ms.,

I called this morning regarding this complaint. I did figure out how to sign into the Revdex.com site, but I am not certain how to reply.

We worked on this *** in October and November of 2018. We determined that the problem was board level and we were not able to repair the device. The initial symptoms were consistent with a bad battery. But bad battery symptoms can be caused by bad chargers, cables, charge ports, tri-star chips, and more. We test for all of these issues, but when the battery is bad enough, test results are inconclusive. The initial battery replacement seemed to fix the device, but the problem returned. We were unable to determine the root cause, which killed some batteries, but was not a bad battery. It's like a micro short in a car that just keeps killing batteries. The battery and battery installer can be blamed for the problem, but neither are the root cause. T

We can refund the $85.39 paid on October 10, 2018. Ms. just needs to come into the store.

A battery was replaced in my phone and shortly aftert it stopped working. When I took it in I was told I was sold a defected battery and it would be replaced under warranty but they didn't have a battery in stock. I live 2.5 hours away and the Store Manager Ethan stated he would mail phone to me. I had not received and called on May 22 at 245pm. Was told the tech replaced the battery but the phone was now not charging and he wanted to look into it and he would call me the next day. I never was contacted so I called back on May 30 at 11:54am and spoke with Ethan. He stated he was going to send to a more advanced technician in the Boone NC store and he would call me within the week.. I again was never contacted so I called and spoke to Ethan again on June 5th atm11:38pm which he said they had not returned his call and he was going to call then and return my call that day. Ethan did not so I contacted again on June 7th 12:03pmand was told the technician hadn't got to it yet but would have it ready in a week and he would call me. Ethan never called me so I called back on June 20 at 12:22pm. I was told that the communication within the company was terrible and he could not get anyone to call him back, he stated he would return my call the next day with update. Ethan did not so I called again on June 24 at 11:19amand was told my board was damaged and he was going to replace my phone and have it in within one week. Never received so I called back multiple times on July 9th and finally spoke with someone to be told the phone received home button did not work and they were ordering another replacement and would have in one week. I requested a follow up call within a week. and never received. I've called back July 17 at 1238pm, Aug 2 at 1014am,Aug 12at 230pm, and today at 505pm. Each time being told it had not came in. I asked to speak with Ethans boss and he said he was as high as it got. I told him I would be filing the complain with the Revdex.com and he cared less.

Mr. complaint is clear and accurate from the the complainants side. It certainly disregards any exculpatory evidence.

I spoke to Mr. after he made this complainant and before I received this from the Revdex.com. I purchased a replacement phone and sent it to him. He has called in the past few days (I believe August 31) to say the replacement phone will not work with his carrier. The phone was described as *** unlocked.

I am happy to find another phone and send it to him. I will send a prepaid return shipping label for the phone he has now. I would only ask that he confirm the carrier he requires.

Since I now have this complaint, I believe it is best to work our way through this process with the Revdex.com. I will let Mr. know that I will work through the process that he initiated.

Thank you,

Charles ***

I am rejecting this response because:
Good morning!

I received a message stating my complaint was closed because it had not been updated that it was resolved. This was closed incorrectly. The reason it was not closed is because the owner ha

s not resolved. He was supposed to send me a correct device and he has not done so. I reached out to him. Again this morning and am still waiting a response. Please let me know when my complaint is reopened and kindly let me know how I can escalate the issue.

Thanks

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Under one condition that it be also unlocked.Because I looked up what a clean ESN meant and that did not mean unlock .So in regards to the offer I will accept if unlocked and it also have a clean ESN.thank you.
