Craftsman Direct "Handyman Home Improvement", Inc.

I needed a kitchen cabinet cut in over for my new fridge to fit in under the cabinet. I am very please dan with the results. The worker was very profesional with his work and discussed what he would do to ensure I was happy with his work.

I have used Craftsman Direct for, I believe, 10 years or so now and they have consistently been the best contractor/handyman service I've used. The only times we have not used them has been for more specialized work (and Craftsman Direct is upfront about acknowledging what they do/don't do).
We have used them for scheduled non-emergency work (like finishing the drywall in a basement/garage) as well as emergency work (tree crashing through deck), and they have always been responsive to the needs of the job (emergency work gets treated as such).
The work has been done promptly and done well and we have never had to make any callbacks for "repairs on the repairs"; all the work that has been done is still in fine shape. The workers are professional, friendly, and are clear about how/what they will be doing, and they are attentive to cleaning up.
In my experience, the pricing has been very fair. When I have competitively bid projects, CD reliably comes in at a very reasonable level.
I would, and do, strongly recommend Craftsman Direct for "handyman-type" tasks and repair work.

[redacted] and [redacted] were absolutely amazing. I had a VERY short time period to work in and [redacted] and his team made it happen. [redacted] literally said, "I'll be here until I finish the job." And he stayed until he finished and it looks AMAZING! My house sold in a day and I believe a part of that was due to the great repairs [redacted] and his team did. [redacted] is also extremely personable which is a plus in this industry. Craftsman Direct comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is the second time I've used Craftsman Direct for handyman work. I had my deck sanded and stained, exterior power washed, and front porch cement re-painted (plus huge crack removed).
After working with these guys a second time, I can confidently say they do not cut corners. They will make sure the job is done right and that you are happy with it.
For example, we had problems finding the right color for the deck. [redacted] and [redacted] had already purchased and applied stain when [redacted] suggested that the color will not do the deck justice. They took pictures, ran back to Lowe's, and found colors that worked. You just get the sense that they're looking out for your interest instead of trying to make a quick buck.
Work aside, [redacted] and [redacted] are incredibly professional people and a pleasure to be around. I would definitely recommend these guys. Thanks a lot for your hard work and for making my move that much easier.

This is the worst company, [redacted] built a porch with a roof that leaked. I tried for over a year to get [redacted] to fix it, when it became obvious he wouldn't or couldn't (as he stopped returning my calls), I contacted the company owner [redacted]. [redacted] jerked me around for a few more months before admitting the roof was built wrong. He looked me in the eye and said "I will make this right" and he hasn't. He agreed to pay for a roofing company to come fix it and he would pay the bill. [redacted] came and did a great job fixing Craftsman Direct's mess. I received the bill and send it to [redacted]. He did not pay. I received a late notice and asked [redacted] about it. He said it was on "oversight" he paid part of the bill. As of 7-21-16 now more than two years after the original work was done, I am having to pay the balance of a bill to another company to fix the mess left by this company","neg-1

I had originally brought in a residential engineer, [redacted] of [redacted] who spec'd out the solution involving the installation of girders in the crawl space. [redacted] recommended [redacted] to do the work, and it was a good pick. When [redacted] finished the job, the residential engineer came back to verify the structural integrity of the girders that [redacted] installed.
I've had so many up and down experiences with past contractors, it was good to experience [redacted]'s personal concern for the quality of his work. I'll bring him back again. Highly recommended.

Over about the last 4 years Craftsman Direct has been our go to for handyman services. They have done several jobs for us from larger jobs like replacing the entire second story subfloor in a house we were refurbishing and redesigning and replacing a large outdoor deck to smaller ones like replacing and painting fascia boards damaged by carpenter bees, repairing drywall, replacing a well house, resealing an interior brick floor, and replacing screen doors. We keep using them because things turn out well. The work starts as planned, is done right and is finished as scheduled, and there has been no need to call them back about any finished job. Additionally they come when scheduled, are easy to reach and return calls, are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and glad to spend time with you planning a job and understanding what you want done and discussing options, and their pricing is fair. Highly recommended.

I contacted Craftsman Direct to get three quotes from them, One for damage repairs done by termite, second opening a floor plan, and third making a one car garage into a 2 car garage. I had called the company twice before writing this review. The lady who answers the phone stated " I am not at my desk right now can I call you back in 5 mins?" I said yes and gave her my information. Today I decided to call for one last time and the same person answer the phone, told the same story about calling back in 5 mins. This time I chose to tell her that she had said the exact same thing to me twice before. Then she ask what I wanted and I proceeded to explain what I wanted done. As soon as I said termites she said " we dont do pest treatment" I explained that I wasn't looking for treatment I was looking to have someone repair the damage done by termites, along with the other two project. All I got from her was "Thank You" then she hung up the phone.

Company did not fulfill the requirements of signed Project Contract.Company did not complete contract as signed. As of 1Sep15 the company claimed completion of project. However there was still damage to the house caused by company during project work.
