If I could give zero stars I wouldOrdered a bed for my daughter and expected delivery was in four weeksHere we are and 1/weeks later and it was just delivered todayThere were many phone calls and a trip to the store to get this doneNow they are here putting it together and parts are missingNow my daughter has no bed to sleep in tonight and someone needs to be home after 3pm again tomorrow so these guys can comeback with the missing partsI don't recommend this place and will NEVER go there again!

Crib City has already scheduled [redacted] for an exchange of the boxspring as well as bringing a brand new package of hardware for her bed. This delivery is scheduled for August 20, 2014.  Crib City delivers mattresses and boxsprings as well as furniture to at least 20 customers daily. We have...

had no other complaints on bed bugs from any customers, we also checked our inventory and all is satisfactory. As you are aware the bed bugs could have come from another source carried into the home. [redacted]CRIB CITY[redacted]

Review: I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my customer service experience with the Crib and Teen City location in Eatontown while ordering a crib and dresser set. I am currently experiencing late delivery of my products and disappointing customer service and communication regarding the delivery of my purchases.

I ordered a crib and dresser from at the Eatontown location on July 30, 2013. My husband and I received attentive customer service at the point of sale and were told that upon leaving our deposit, we would be contacted in 6-8 weeks to schedule delivery of our items. We received no phone call after 8 weeks and had to follow up with the store. After several times of being promised return calls with information with no follow up, we finally were able to set up a delivery date of October 18th (approximately 12 weeks after our order date) for the crib only. We are currently receiving unclear information regarding the delivery of our dresser. One representative told us within ten days and another indicated we may not receive it until the end of October or beginning of November. As of today, October 16th, we have no date of delivery scheduled for the dresser nor an answer as to when it can be expected. We do not have a date of delivery and we are expecting our child to be born any day.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of follow up and the lack of information regarding the delivery of the products we ordered months ago and paid a deposit on. Not only are these products late but no effort was made to contact us to let us know that there would be a delay.Desired Settlement: Considering the lack of communication, poor customer service, and extreme inconvenience for my family, I believe our purchase should be either discounted or we should be offered complimentary delivery service.

Crib City is very sorry for the delay in the delivery of this dresser. The original dresser was damaged and our orders with the manufacturer have yet to arrive. As of today they are scheduled to come in early November. We did request for it to be expedited. Sadly we are at the mercy of the manufacturer for the item. At any time the customer can request for a return on items received and a full refund. We also have other sets available in stock for immediate delivery. I will have the store manager, [redacted], give customer a call to review.

I am rejecting this response because:

I find the response unacceptable. Not only has delivery been delayed but upon delivery of my crib (which I was aware was coming separate from the dresser), I was also supposed to receive a changing table pad and mattress. The mattress was the wrong mattress (the standard brand when we paid for an upgraded mattress) and we did not receive the changing pad.

I am well aware that I could request to be refunded, however, I believe you are aware of how long it would take to place a new order from another vendor and have the needed items delivered in a timely manner. If I had been notified by the company that my items would take this long, I would have opted to cancel the order altogether. Due to the lack of communication and clear response in terms of delivery dates, the option to cancel and order elsewhere is not one that is logical or reasonable for myself or my family.

The company should have been more diligent in following up, communicating timelines, and ensuring accuracy in the order. I, again, feel it is reasonable to request to be refunded the delivery charge, at a minimum, especially considering the delay and then the inaccuracy of the order.

Per our delivery records the dresser and mattress were delivered on November 6, 2013. If this is incorrect or there is further issue with an item, please let me know so I can address.

Review: I purchased a bunk bed unit from Teen and Crib City at their Springfield NJ location. At the time of purchase I gave them a deposit of $400 (Cash) with the balance due COD. The only paperwork provides was a receipt for the $400 payment. On the scheduled delivery day I received a call in the early morning to confirm delivery for later that afternoon, I stated that we could not accept delivery and rescheduled for the following week, the agent said “no problem” and asked us to call the store to schedule the new delivery. When I asked about the “return policy” that salesperson stated that all returns were subject to a 25% restocking fee.

The next day I received a call from the delivery driver stating that he wanted an additional $120 for a missed delivery, and I told him “no”, I cancelled.

Matters got worse when the bunk bed unit was delivered and it was determined it would not fit the room. Our alternative was to either permanently remove the door jam or suffer the 25% restocking fee. When I told the driver that he had to take it back and we would pay the restocking fee he said we must pay in full and that he would leave the furniture in our yard! His supervisor at the delivery company, “Gina” stated that it was a special order and no refund would be made, not even for the mattress. At no time were we informed of a “no return” policy and were provided no paperwork indicating any kind of return or acceptance procedure. The only documentation we were provided were hand written receipts on their receipt stationary. The salesperson must have been uninformed with regard to restocking fees and return policies.

I am now out $2,200 and no one will return calls to discuss the refund. I have tried calling Mr. K[redacted], the president to no avail.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund.

Review: CRIB AND TEEN CITY SPRINGFIELD DELIVERED A MATTRESS RIDDLED WITH BED BUGS AND BUNK BEDS THAT ARE FALLING APART

TIMELINE:

INITIAL PURCHASE: 3/29

BALANCE PAID IN FULL: 4/26

WENT BACK TO STORE AS WAREHOUSE NEVER CALLED FOR DELIVERY: 4/29

FURNITURE DELIVERED ON: 5/1

In addition to the fact that the bed is falling apart, with the screws clearly broken…. (I HAVE PICTURES) the box spring I purchased for my son and X-Long Twin box spring and mattress with frame has bed bugs. My son noticed bites on his skin, about a month ago; this is now 2 months after the purchase. We initially thought it might be from his football workouts, grass and environment until we went on vacation, came back. After a long drive and returning on Friday night, we showered and my husband and I went to bed.

I got up around 1:00am and notice my oldest wasn’t' in his bed. I went downstairs and awoke him from the couch. He stated that his bed has bugs in it. I immediately went upstairs and noticed the reddish brown bugs. I moved the two little ones out of the room from their bunks. The next day, I began looking at each mattress. I rented a carpet cleaner that Sat. thinking they were in our carpet, and where else could they be. By Sunday morning, my husband and I began completely sanitizing their rooms as we didn’t notice they were anywhere else. We took my son’s mattress and box spring off and it was swarming with bed bugs and eggs.

Needless to say, I am furious...we wrap their infested produce in a mattress cover and placed it outside. I am waiting until 12:00pm when they open. I paid almost 2,000 to have bed bugs in my kids room...I am devastated, appalled and hurt. I have not slept since returning from vacation and don’t know when I’ll ever be able to sleep with comfort again.Desired Settlement: I do not trust this company. My home now needs to be sprayed as I don't know how and where they have spread. I want them to come and pick up their insect riddled furniture and refund my $1710.93.

Review: I ordered the furniture in June, was guaranteed second week in August for delivery. I called the store and was told it was on back order and I would receive it the following week. Called Wednesday the following week because I did not hear anything and was then told it was on back order again and would not be delivered to the warehouse until September 10. No one called to contact me and my due date is September 3. I called corporate on two separate occasions leaving my name and number and have not heard back. I told them it was completely unacceptable that I would be home with a baby by the time the furniture comesDesired Settlement: I would like to be accommodated in someway and would like the furniture to be delivered as soon as possible. I also should not be paying for delivery cost.

Review: On June 29, 2013 I ordered a crib set and rocking chair for my nursery. On July 8, 2013 I was called and told you were out of the fabric that I originally selected for the chair. On July 13, I came back to the store and selected new fabric which was faxed to the manufacturer that day while I was in the store. I called 4 weeks later inquiring about the delivery status. On August 16, [redacted] the manager of the store informed the sales person that the chair would be delivered in 2 weeks.

On August 24, 2013, I returned to the store and paid the remainder of the balance to [redacted] ($399.66). I have called back 3 times inquiring about delivery with no answers. I received a return phone call on September 11, informing me that delivery will not be until the end of the month.

I have called [redacted] without any response as well as [redacted] at the store with out any answer. I am disappointed that my first born will not have his nursery and my patience has run thin. This type of service is completely unacceptable.

I want an immediate refund on my purchases. The rocking chair for 789.00 and the crib deposit for 100.00.

Customer placed 2 separate orders with Crib City, one for crib/dressers/mattress and another for glider rocking chair. The crib order is in and ready for delivery. As told to the customer on 9/13/13 there is a delay in the manufacturers production of the glider, which is completely out of Crib Citys hands. The customer was offered a loaner glider to use until hers came in or a full refund. Crib City also offered to deliver her crib and dresser first and then deliver glider at no additional charge once available. Customer can come into store with her receipt at any time for refund.
