Great company. Explained in detail what was going to be done and why and did a customer walk thru when job was completed.

Review: I called Critter Control to remove a family of at least 4 ground hogs(we saw) that were living under our shed. They advertise that they are Experienced at trapping and removing live wild animals. They charged over $200 just to come out and agree with everything we had already told them. They set their traps and left. The animals removed the food from the traps and left the traps empty. When I phoned to explain this they wanted another $100 to come back and re bait. I refused to pay them another $100 to come back and re bait so they said they would come back without charging me. After several trips and ground hogs that are wiser than Critter Control, they caught 2 babies but never the adults which are still here- They did NOT know how to trap the others. I agreed to pay them over $400 but they are trying to also charge me for catching and releasing a little rabbit. I do not believe I should have to pay them for more of their errors.Desired Settlement: refund of $104.94 to my charge card for their error of catching and releasing a little rabbit

Dear **. [redacted],

In regards to **. [redacted]’s complaint we have attached the following:

A. A copy of our confirmation email sent to **. [redacted] May 14, the day before our scheduled appointment, along with her reply email confirming receipt and agreement to prices. The date and her confirmation are highlighted.

B. A copy of her final invoice with all services, payments and notes made by technicians.

**. [redacted] had no objection to paying this invoice on June 8. It is only now, two months later, that she is asking for a refund. We strongly feel this is due to another groundhog having moved back in and her wanting us to come back and trap it for free. We did offer to return to set up traps at no charge but that did not satisfy her. Please also note that on 5/28 and 6/22 we waived the trip charge due to us being in the area at the time, even though we clearly had the right to charge them according to our service prices detailed in the confirmation email.

Perhaps **. [redacted] has more wildlife experience than us, as she hints in her letter, but then she should know that male and female groundhogs do not live together with their babies. After the two juvenile groundhogs were caught, the traps were left for quite a long time with no further evidence of activity. No one can trap animals that aren’t there. We find it curious that if **. [redacted] had more groundhogs living there at the time why then did she or her husband elect to take our traps out of service and store them in their garage? When we do a trapping job we always propose exclusion to prevent animals from moving back into the void after we have removed the existing ones and we guarantee this work. **. [redacted] declined our exclusion and chose to do it himself despite our technician advising him that what he proposed would only be a temporary deterrent.

Now, after two months, **. [redacted] claims they still have groundhogs and that we cannot do the job and for some reason also wants a refund for a charge she had no objection to paying prior to this.

In conclusion we do not feel a refund is warranted and strongly object to her trying to malign our good reputation.

Review: On October 28, 2013, I contacted Critter Control regarding the removal of skunks from a crawl space under our house. [redacted] responded quickly and that evening 1 trap was set. The next day, October 29, 2013, a possum was found in the trap and I took care of it. A call was made to [redacted] that day and the trap was re-set as well as a second trap set.

On Friday evening, November 1, 2013, after 3 days of not catching anything, I called [redacted] at ###-###-#### and left a voice message, indicating that no other animal had been captured and would the crawl space be viewed for any animals. I received no response.

• On Thursday, November 7, 2013, I again attempted to contact [redacted]; leaving another voice message, explaining no animals had been trapped and again requested the crawl space to be viewed for any possible animals. I received no response.

• On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, I called Critter Control at ###-###-#### and left a voice message requesting a call back and indicated I wanted to discuss a possible refund. I received no response.

• On Sunday, November 17, 2013, I attempted again to contact Critter Control at ###-###-####. I was not able to leave a voice message as the answering system indicated the mailbox was full.

• On November 19, 2013, the traps were finally removed and a note from [redacted] stating I could get the traps set again at no charge within the next 6 months.

At this time, I am demanding a partial refund of $165.00 - $55.00 x 3. The contract states ‘Trap set and removal up to 3 animals’ - $275.00. Any additional captures $55.00 each’.

I find this request to be fair considering Critter Control did not remove any animals and the question still remains, what if an animal had been captured in early November? The record clearly shows that Critter Control would not have responded as promised in the contract.Desired Settlement: A partial refund of $165.00.

Review: I hired a service of Critter Control to treat the rodents in my house. They treated the house on 12/23/2013 and the payment of $325 covered all return visits and necessary treatments for 90 days. Becuase they were not able to fix the problem, I contacted them several times via phone and by letter, requesting a refund. As per the letter, Mr. Eric agreed to refund 50% of th amount but so far, he has failed to mail me the payment.

Subject: refund

Hi Eric,

As per our conversation on April 20th, you were going to mail me a check of $162.50, as a partial refund of the amount I paid on 12/23/2013 for a service call for rodent control. This refund is due to me since after a service call for rodent control on 12/23/2013, you were not able to control the rodents in my house at [redacted] VA [redacted].

Since then, I have not received a check from you. In last two weeks, I have placed several calls and left several messages on your voice mail but you have never returned my calls and also not available to take my calls.

I am writing this as a reminder for you to mail me a check as soon as possible.

Thanks.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Regards,

[redacted], VA [redacted]
