For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] The is getting very frustrating. The point Cronin Ford is not owning up to: Their ONE tech checked out the car I had TWO (2) separate REPUTABLE, HONEST Repair Shops who have said the car is UNDER SPECS and need BRAKES (made a LOUD GRINDING NOISE); BOTH FRONT AND REAR ROTORS were WARPED, FRONT PADS WERE GRABBING and definitely ALL “ UNDER SPEC”! The Two (2) rear TRUNK SHOCKS WERE WORN OUT and LEFT SIDE MIRROR does NOT WORK. At least $ [redacted] worth of work. The least they could do to show some good will is offer a dollar amount to assist with the costs.

Thanks for reaching out We looked into the area in question and have a signed credit for the customer The only pulling of credit was from the dealership and no banks There may have been a misunderstanding from the customer to sales rep We are sorry for the trouble Thanks

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The fact that my credit was run was not the only issue I had while at *** *** The situation was I wanted to discuss what the dealership was willing to give me as a trafor my vehicle before the discussion of financing and credit score was even considered I am a repeat customer I brought a truck in with miles on it *** came out and immediately put the credit score form in front of my face and implied that with my score financing would be a challenge I was not in there to trade in my vehicle because I was in any financial trouble but just wanted to downsize my vehicle His demeanor came across to me as insulting as he stated that he would "pay off my vehicle so I would not have any negative equity in purchasing a new vehicle" I knew when I arrived there that my credit score was better than it was when I purchased my current vehicle which I financed for $56, This vehicle I was considering was less than $30,finance therefore I already had pre-approval from my bank I have bought many brand new vehicles, and in my opinion he was trying to sell me a vehicle based on my credit score I believe I was "low balled" on my trabecause *** assumed that I needed to get out from under my current vehicle which is not the case My current vehicle trade in value on KBB is $52,000, he offered to pay off my note which is currently $42,and implied he was doing me a favor To me *** *** making $10,on a traoff of me is unethicalespecially when I am purchasing a new vehicle My trahas 8,miles, has been in a garage for years It is a brand new vehicle I will sell it outright for $52,and purchase a new vehicle from a different dealership

Again, there was no note of a PayOff listed. We as the dealership can not control a customers payoff

The unit purchased by *** *** was not unsafe. It was inspected by our team at Cronin Ford. The brakes were above specs. Squeaking doesn’t make them unsafe The unit was sold with a powertrain warranty. No powertrain issues were brought into Cronin Ford for repair. The warranty runs for days and miles from purchase. Ms*** may bring the vehicle in at any time during that period for covered work. Thank you for your time

We cut a check to the customer for the requested amount

We have reviewed our repair sheet from the tech who inspected the car. The car was at specs. Thank you for your time

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it If you and the business have reached an agreement and compliance is set for a future date, we trust the business will comply Please contact us after that time if the matter is not resolved as agreed and we will review the complaint and proceed accordingly.]

Cronin Ford offered and will stand by the price quoted.   The customer did not include their payoff that was still due.   Dealerships can not control what a customer owes on there trades.

The customer was trying to get a loan on a few different vehicles.  The first car was a pre-owned Kia Sedona that could not get approved. We thought we had a second vehicle that would work, a trade-in that eventually was taken back by the original owner as they did not go through with their...

deal.   On the last deal, it was a GMC Acadia that was approved but with additional money down. Each time we would try a different vehicle we would have to re-submit to a financial institution for approval therefore it would create another credit inquiry from the financial institution.  She had started dialogue with our dealership via internet leads 9/17 to our Kia dealership on 9/17/17 through 1/30/18.  We did a credit bureau inquiry on 11/8/17 and another on 1/30/18 after she submitted internet leads attempting to get financing for the different vehicles.  It also appears that she had made attempts to purchase at other dealerships and secure financing through them as well showing in the inquiry section of the credit report.  I feel we were simply trying to assist in finding the best approved financing for [redacted].We would encourage her to reach out to me if I can assist any further.
