Cross States Moving Services Reviews (%countItem)

This company is an absolute nightmare! They hold zero accountability for their actions, or contracts. DO NOT hire. They are a bait and switch. The supposed manager was extremely rude. They demanded almost triple the amount of money, upon delivery (when they eventually arrived) that I had a SIGNED CONTRACT printed out, with proof of deposit payment. They disregard it completely. I was forced to pay what they demanded, to get my stuff back, and I was told, and I quote " well it is what it is, if you want your stuff, you have to pay this." Disgustingly unprofessional. Now having to sue to try to get some of my money back.

This company is careless about blocking streets, driveways. They backed up traffic while their guys sat around laughing at the backup. Eventually when the garbage truck began honking they half-heartedly moved the front of the truckbut not the back of the truckout of the street. After a yelp review to this effect, they passive-aggressively responded that I was not one of their customers and that we (the ten people whose cars were backed up?) should have called the office. Then they got the review removed. This company is terrible.

Fraudulent interstate moving company....
Agreed contract to move furniture for handicapped 87yr old from OH to FL not met. Been lied to multiple times. Furniture was to arrive Weds 11/27, have had to stay in hotel 4 nights + with handicapped 87yr old who needs specific furniture. No one answers ph at multiple numbers. status of furntiure unknown by company as of Weds 4p.

Desired Outcome

Looking for compensation of EXTRA expenses incurred from not fulfilling the service as agreed.

I would never recommend this company. They were 3 days late for our move and never called to tell me they would be late so I could make arrangements to accommodate the new schedule. They wouldn't return my phone calls. They underestimated not only the time but the size of the truck they needed. They sent two guys to empty a 2,000 sq ft home. I had to get friends to unload and I missed the closing on my new home. I was late to start my new job and they broke a bookcase and two lamps. They scratched up the hard wood floors. When I called to speak to a supervisor about any of this they told me someone would call back but never did. Yeah they are cheap, you get what you pay for never again.

contacted moving company North Star and cross states moving called , lied about my quote guaranteeing my things would fit on truck .changed the price
I contacted this moving company about my move another company contacted me back cross states moving . The rep *** started off very nice and put me at ease they were not brokers they have there own company and therefore would not be doing what some other companies do which is brokers she said that a previous company lied and said we needed more space to up the price I said ok she said she could do the job for us and we didn't require the space they had quoted us we FaceTimed and I showed her my home and my things she guaranteed they would fit on her truck and I said we will call you back she called several times to me to gain the job . She said she would even give us a second truck at no cost if the things didn't fit we ask she out that in writing for us and we were at ease . She lied to us *** we thought would happen with these companies the movers came and said the items would not fit she claimed I hadn't showed her my things but in fact I did . The driver stated that the company could not posssibley give a estimate without seeing item oin person these companies lie to gain business come to the home and change pricing not by hundreds by thousands. She then tried to say they could do the job for 2400 more dollars once at the home they tried to get the job price up to 4000 more dollars they are scammers and should not be allowed to do business like this when we are the people who have to I trust them . I asked for a refund and she said I would lose my money and they win all if there cases which means they do this method often . I want them to refund me my money with out an issue she texted a million times back and fourth because she is guilty of lying and persuading us to get the job done. I have video of the truck that arrived and audio of convos and the driver is the only one that was with this company the two were contracted of which they claim to have there own staff and they train them etc which is a total lie also to prove this company is a scam

Desired Outcome

I ask for my money back they said they win all of their cases because in order to book job you have to sign off on the job she claims they have 3 day policy I did not have three days in the job period to start with she tried to change pricing several times and all of which required more money I ask them to give me my money back period they didn't do job

Breach of interstate moving contract
Contact signed for interstate move from Delaware OH to Aubrey TX with pick up date between 7/29-7/31/19 and delivery within 3 days. Company did not arrive until 8/1/19 and only after we called multiple times and were lied to about pick up dates and times. Arrived with a team of two to complete packing of contents and loading onto truck for transport around 1:30pm after stating would be there between 9-11am. Took over 12 hours. Several items left behind that had to be transported by us. Delivery made 8/4/19 by a different crew with a different truck. Several items were damaged and destroyed. When pointed out to movers, they stated to take it up with the office. One item included an over 100 year old antique table. The legs were removed and it was left that way even though we told the original movers to not disassemble and to handle with care. All hardware for the table is missing and can not be put back together. Life size stuffed santa that has been in our family for over 40 years arrived with the foot ripped open and filthy. Attempted to repair and clean but unsuccessful. Broken items include- 3 large picture frames one with cuts to lithograph, 2 vases, 2 candles, 2 lamps. Damaged items- Santa, antique table, lg crockpot, keurig coffee make, 3 lamp shades.
Multiple attempts to resolve have been unsuccessful. Have left two messages for owner and he has not returned calls.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of amount paid for services. They did not uphold their part of signed contact and as this is a contract of adhesion, I had no say in the framework of the contract but did abide by all responsibilities on our end.

I hired NorthStar Movers to relocate me from Illinois to Texas. Move was done in December of 2018. I paid the deposit requested and they picked up all my belongings. When I did not receive my belongings, I reached out to the company and that is when I was informed that additional money was required before delivery can be scheduled. The total cost of my move was increased from $1650 to $3252.13. That amount, as of this month, has increased to over $5,000. They are refusing to release my things until that amount is paid.
Order_Number: UXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Delivery I would like all my items delivered without any additional coast and the company to no longer be in business if they are going to continue with their poor business practice.

Claim for partial refund and resolution to damage to our flooring and furniture
I am writing you about opening a claim against NorthStar Moving company.

We had some issues with our move on May 3, 2019, order number UXXXXXXX. The first issue is the additional charges we incurred.

We were charged an additional $868.40 over the estimate. (4hrs extra x $200/hr. + 4% transaction fee)

However, our quote was for three workers and we only had two. We shouldn't have had 2 movers. It wasn't enough, and they didn't even have tools, or enough space in the truck.

I would like the $868.40 we were charged above our quote refunded. The driver said we couldn't negotiate the additional charge at the time of the move and refused to unload the truck at our destination, which is against the rules according to the contract. He convinced the dispatcher to charge us the extra rate, even though I told them our quote was based on 3 movers. He said we would have to take that up with our booking agent, *** whose contact information is listed below. I tried calling *** several times during the day of our move, and afterward about our claim, but he never took my call or called me back.

Also, of great concern, is that while moving furniture and appliances into our new space, they did damage to the floors in our office. My boss/CEO was furious when he saw it. As you can imagine, we just paid all this money to move into a new space. The damage was right as you come off the elevator and into the kitchen area. They dragged some of the furniture including the refrigerator which caused damage to the wood flooring (scrapes and gashes).

I tried filing a claim with their insurance company, but they will not hear our claim. I've tried to submit claims through their arbitration company, (which doesn't allow you to talk to a person to explain things) but my claim was rejected based on "Per company, their database does not recognize the name of the party (Customer) you have provided."

I have the agreement that was signed that shows our company name. We have the AMEX charge that was processed by their company.

I have the documentation, QC Software, LLC is the named company.

They also did damage to our furniture.

Kitchen Serving cart, Dents - top damage, item packed by movers, 200 lbs.,
Desk drawer - damage, can't be put back in desk, item packed by movers, 50 lbs., $90.40
Desk top - scratched surface, item packed by movers, 125 lbs., $270
Desk top - screws pulled out from bottom resulting in total loss of use, packed by movers, 125 lbs., $270
conference table - corners scrapped and damaged, packed by movers, 150 lbs., $375
large conference table - corners scrapped and damaged, packed by movers, 300 lbs.
small fridge - dents in door, packed by movers, 75 lbs.,

It seems they have a lot of hoops to jump through and misdirection to try and keep themselves from dealing with any legitimate claims. I've tried to work with them and their processes, but it seems everything is designed to keep you from being able to reach them and get a resolution.

I'm not sure what you suggest as our course of action, but we would like to resolve these issues.

Thank you very much for your help.

Desired Outcome

I would like the $868.40 we were charged above our quote refunded. I would also like to get a resolution to the flooring damage. I would like to have it fixed and to bill NorthStar for the repair.

Quoted low but raised price during each process of our more. We ended up paying double+ of original estimate. Damage and horrible service!
I first contacted this company (because of good online reviews) around late April, early May of 2019 and spoke with the Senior Consultant for NorthStar. Based on the square footage and number of rooms of our house he quoted an estimate of $3500. Seemed fair. I later spoke with *** again on the phone and gave him a detailed list of every item in every room including the bonus room, both attic spaces, garage, tool shed and under the house. I even offered pictures but he declined. He spoke with his boss and came back with another estimated cost (including a military discount) of $4850. and I have a copy of this estimate. I paid $1450. up front in order to book this move. On June 27th two men arrived around 11:30am with a rented van from Enterprise to pack and load a 2360 sq ft house. We told them the truck was too small and they assured us it was not. They kept us up until 2:30am the next morning and the truck was not big enough. They left an awful mess. Filled out paperwork and then told us we now owed $3820. more. They came back on 5/29 to finish. After all was loaded we were told we owed an additional $2140. They now have everything we own in their possession so we reluctantly paid because as the driver said "we had to". That now brings our total amount paid to $7410.00. I later talked to *** to seemed sympathetic and he promised to send different men and a truck large enough for all our possessions upon delivery and that we would owe a final amount of $990. This was later increased in writing (have a copy) to $1,196.45.
On June 24th two different men with the same size truck from Enterprize showed up around noon. They unloaded until after dark. Boxes were not labeled with the room they were packed in because the first two said they were not required to do that. Most ended up in the garage. Lots and lots of things are either broken or missing at this point. My wife has been ill for about a week and unable to continue unpacking. We were supplied with an inventory list that was not legible so we are not even sure what we really are missing. Boxes had been turned upside down with items just tossed in with no wrapping. coffee, salt and sugar had spilled in the bottom all over whatever was in the box. When the delivery guys arrived, the driver asked to check our paper work with his because they were often different he said. Instead of $1,196.45 as our statement read, his read $1,872.00. He said he could not unload until paid. They wanted a money order or cash only but we had neither so they accepted our credit card. When we disputed the increase, he called a lady in his office and she said all the paperwork was not in when she sent our copy. The next day the same two men came back with the last of our belongings. Again we were told they would not be allowed to unload until we paid an additional $682.70. They refused to take a break because they said they had to leave by dark. We felt sorry for the guys and even tried to help. They left late after the last was unloaded and did not have time to complete set-up. We gave them a little tip because as best as we could tell they were not to blame. These guys are being worked to death and when I asked them why they worked for a company like this they said they had no choice. So at this point our final ramsome (felt like that by this time) came to a whopping $9,964. We feel we have been literally robbed. By the hours these guys put in and the fact that they then drive several hours more, I feel this company has to be breading all kinds of labor laws, but that is not for us to determine. I would like to request that someone from Seniors V Crime contact us ASAP please. Thank you for your attention to our situation.
Sincerely,
*** and

Desired Outcome

We have received terrible service from this company. We feel we should be compensated for the outrageous amount we were left no choice but to pay and also be reimbursed for any lost or damaged belongings. If they underestimated cost, that is not our problem or out job. We have since requested a legible inventory of our belongings so that we can determine what we did and did not receive. I would also like to see action taken to prevent this company from taking advantage of citizens, veterans and seniors in the future.

Movers underestimated home size for move; arrived 12 hours late the day before we had to vacate with inadequate labor & said price would be double.
Received quote for approx $5K to move 3BR/2BA house including garage and basement, with an added $1K to pack goods.Assured by salesman *** that the bid was accurate though other bids were higher paid $1595 deposit.Movers arrived 10 hours late Thurs., 6/27 with 2 men and a rented truck. We were supposed to vacate house after closing on 6/28 and needed to have the house clear by then.During calls 6/27, was told 8:30AM, 12:30AM, 4PM, then no answer to calls. After review of the house, we were told the estimate was wrong, the square foot estimate was too low (1077 sq ft, not 1700 sq ft), not enough room on the truck, not enough labor so the cost would be double ($10K) to move. With few options, we negotiated with "***," the "dispatch manager" by phone to have of the truck and we would pack goods in exchange for the original bid price.Movers moved furniture and previously packed boxes while we & family members assisted.Family worked to pack the remaining goods to get loaded on truck as quickly as possible.Movers left when truck 1/2 full after paid next 1/3 of $1768.On 6/28 in order to vacate already-sold home, rented storage space for $267 to store irreplaceable goods unable to move with 2 trailers and pick up trucks (incl. 1 rented trailer @$394) and contacted 2 junk haulers who charged $1600 to remove unmovable furniture/goods. I am a retired, disabled veteran who had to assist to move heavy boxes/furniture to attempt to vacate and close on NJ home as scheduled and not delay closing on NC house 7/1 and be charged rent by new owner. We were unable to leave the house until 6/29, which the new owner allowed wihtout charge, given the circumstances. We missed a hotel reservation in Charlotte for 6/29 and were charged $242.26 (121.13/each for 2 rooms - we had family members drive a 14' trailer with us and paid for gas, lodging, food) for the additional night and a penalty of $238. When the movers arrived with our goods, family assisted in moving furniture/goods inside and paid remaining $1699.98. With a 10% military discount and a reduction for using moving materials we furnished, the total was $4996.98. My wife and I had to spend additional $ replacing items that had to be thrown away. This move cost an additional $2643.26 over what was quoted for our move. Our other option would have been to spend an additional $5K with no guarantee that more charges would not be required later.

Desired Outcome

This move so far has cost an additional $2643.26 over what was quoted for our move - another 50% of the quoted price. Our other option would have been to spend an additional $5K with no guarantee that more charges would not be required later. My wife and I now have to spend additional funds to retrieve items in storage, and have had to spend additional $ replacing items that had to be thrown away because there was not time left to find another movers or additional drivers and trailers. Given this additional cost for an error we did not make that was not remediated by the moving company, I am asking for a refund of 1/2 of the additional cost we incurred to move, approximately $1300.

Was incorrectly and fraudulently over-charged for a) cubic feet delivered and b) a $600 cash delivery ransom upon delivery.
January-2019 I relocated from Morristown, NJ to Phoenix, AZ. Northstar order #UXXXXXXX. Original quote: $2230. total I paid $4795. a) Was fraudulently charged for 555 cubic feet of property relocated. The property was delivered on a truck holding maximum of 360 cubic feet. And the truck was only 70% full. b) fraudulently charged a $600 cash-required payment on the day of delivery for a "small-shuttle truck", after it had been previously discussed and agreed that no such truck would be required (and was not required) c) scheduled delivery date (after 1/4/2019 pickup) was 1/15/2019. Actual delivery was more than 2 weeks later on 2/1/2019. Communication during the 4 weeks moving company had my property was non-existent. d) Assorted items were lost or damaged (estimated value $200). I have since been working with/through movingclaims.net (arbitration company) but after considerable delays they have not taken this matter seriously and have offered no settlement. I sent a detailed letter to NorthStar Movers dated 2/4/2019 - for which I have received NO reply. This letter can be provided if needed compiling considerable details on the relocation and the overcharging for both the a) cubic feet and b) the $600 scam/fraudulent charge for the shuttle-truck (which the delivery driver advised was NOT needed). Northstar Movers sub-contracted the cross-country (NJ to AZ) relocation to State-To-State Movers. Neither NorthStar , nor State-To-State have replied to multiple efforts to contact them with my concerns/complaint. Even refusing to provide a detailed calculation of my total charges.

Desired Outcome

I paid a total of $4,795 to Northstar (and State-To-State Movers). I have calculated based on the 270 cubic feet actually relocated (at $7 per cubic feet) and excluding the fraudulent $600 cash for the "final delivery" an appropriate total charge would be $1,759. Thus, requesting a credit of $3,036. This calculation is provided in detail in my letter to NorthStar Movers dated 2/4/2019

8/10/2019 - No, I do NOT accept this response from the business. As I do NOT see any. The only attached document is my 13-page letter to Northstar dated 2/4/2019. It appears either: a) Northstar simply returned my 2/4/19 letter to the Revdex.com without comment?, or b) Northstar's reply was NOT successfully posted/linked to my complaint #XXXXXXXX? Please review and affirm whether some correspondence was actually received from Northstar Movers (and posted to the website for complaint #XXXXXXXX.) I also sent an e-mail to the Revdex.com (Rochelle Smith) on 8/8/2019 regarding this "non-reply". At this point I do NOT consider this matter to be resolved (or even replied to), as I do NOT see any correspondence from Northstar Movers.
That noted, I do much appreciate the time and efforts of the Revdex.com on this matter, Thank You!!.....***, ***@aol.com or XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Upcharging , Leaving out information about additional insurance , Property never delivered
On 5/20/2019 I spoke with *** and scheduled pick up of some items out of my Dad's estate from a house in Colorado he owned we were selling. It was going to Alabama where I live. I was having to fly out so I could only be there the one day and told *** I was not able to pack anything. He assured me that it was a full service move and that the movers would provide the materials and pack for me. I asked several times to be sure. Everything was fine until the movers show up on 5/25/2019. In a box truck. To go across country. They first said that the items ,( that were sent to *** and on the contract listed specifically one by one) we not going to fit in the truck and that they also did not pack or wrap the furniture for protection. The driver told me it would be another $2000 for the packing and extra space. I told him it wasnt happening but agreed to pay extra $250 for packing materials even though this was told to me would be included. As the movers were moving the furniture there was a large gash in the wall that I witnessed happen. Also a Wooden statue was heavily damaged. I was asked when I wanted delivery I said No later than the next Friday 5/31/2019. I have never received my items up until this date and no one can tell me where they are. Nor can I get a call back. I was told at one point that the truck was having issues. Then told it was in a warehouse. I was never informed this was a common practice because I would have never agreed to that. I was told DOOR to DOOR . Now every time I call IF I get someone I get told it is not their department .Also I was asked if I Purchased the EXTRA insurance. I was never given an option and was actually told the company was insured. I am very worried because these items are sentimental to me and some are family heirlooms. I found reviews of people never receiving their items or they are destroyed. This company LIES and will be your best friend until they get your money and your stuff. I was charged a total of $2200 and they have charged me so far $1600 and I do not have my stuff nor have a clue where it is.

Desired Outcome

I would like my items delivered safely and no more charges brought to me. I would like this company to be exposed for the SCAM they are.

This company over promised and placed me in a bind in which I had to pay additional money or my move would not have been completed.
I just moved into my first home I bought all by myself. Since I was moving alone, working full time and finalizing my house paperwork I wanted to have an all-inclusive/full move to lessen my stress. I spoke to Bill, a very nice and personable man on the phone. He stated that he could get the move set up for $1300 in which I could watch TV while they packed and would only have to get up when they were packing the couch. I agreed to the deal, but kept searching. I found another mover who would do it all for $1100 and asked Bill if he would match, he said yes. He sent the paperwork, I signed everything. Warning sign #1: The final bill did not include the price match of $1100, it was still $1300. I didn't make a fuss. The move was set up for Memorial Day weekend 5/25/2019 at 8am.
Red flag #2: The day before the move I received a call stating that the movers would be there at noon instead of 8am. That's fine, I didn't make a fuss even though I also had Comcast coming at 1pm to connect my internet.
Red flag #3: The day of the move, 1pm, I received a call stating that they would be there at 4pm and they would call an hour ahead to confirm. The movers called at 5pm stating that they would be there at 6pm!
Red flag #4: The movers arrived at 6pm, and there were only 2 of them! The move was estimated to be 5 hours. At hour #4, they hadn't even touched the kitchen but since I was moving close by, we decided to unload and finish up the next day. This decision was also made because the movers did not know that it was a "full" move so they did not have enough boxes or packing materials for dishware. It was 11pm and they would have to go to Home Depot in the morning to purchase boxes and packing materials.
They arrived back at my place around 12 noon Sunday, and I was furious. I have now spent two full days doing a task that should have been completed on the first day.
Red flag #5: The movers packed up the last of my items (with me doing numerous checks behind them because they were prone to leave a full drawer or cabinet here or there and claim the room was 'finished'). They then CHARGED me an extra $337.50 for the extra 1.5 hour since it is "a move by the hour." But they 'graciously' took off half an hour because they broke my lamp.
I felt swindled. I am not a moving expert, I take your word that it will cost me the quoted amount of money, will take the stated amount of time, that you will arrive on time and that your employees are prepared. This move cost me an additional $337.50, took 8 hours, the movers were 10 hours late, took 2 days, and the employees were completely unaware of what I needed.

This company over promised and placed me in a bind in which I had to pay the additional money or the move would not have been completed. You should never make someone feel trapped to use your services or be stuck on a holiday weekend to figure it out. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have the extra money in my savings. Moves are already stressful, and this company did not help. I will not be using this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

Desired Outcome

I am looking to be refunded the additional day I had to pay for to complete the move due to their misjudgment on the amount of movers needed, packing required and late start time. It amounts to $337.50.

From pick up to a month after delivery... dealing with this company has been a nightmare. I need signaificantly more than 150 Characters to complain.
I started by working with our sales rep *** my consultation phone call was a breeze and he emphasized how important it was that a cross country move be stress free (spoiler alertit wasn't). He sold the dream of an easy move, full-service door to door (that's going to be important later) in 2-3 days. I spoke to *** about a month before our move so, besides the furniture, the number of boxes were sort of a guesstimate. He quoted the move from Georgia to Texas and I had a couple other calls but so far, I liked what I was hearing and the quote was great for us. After I decided to officially do with them, I called *** and let him know that the official date was up in the air, but I would keep him updated and that I actually started packing and it looked liked I was going to have 10 or so more boxes than my original quote and he told me it was not a problem at all, there was plenty of room on the truck, nothing else.... remember that. So I put down our deposit, 30% of our total bill.

Let's fast forward to our pick up day. Everything seemed to be going okay until the movers went to pack our TVs and coffee table (which was a glass top). The movers told my husband that they had to charge $75/tv to crate the TVs and another $75 to wrap the two glass pieces that went on my coffee table. BUT the drivers were kind enough to say that they wouldn't write it on the paper if we "tipped them generously in cash." Obviously we did it to save $300 in charges we didn't know about.Well, I had made my sales rep aware of the additional items and I was never sent a new quote or anything, so why would I think there was additional costs, right? .... Wrong. The drivers told my husband it would be an additional $1900. We were planning on paying $600 when the truck arrived from Georgia. And we were being told we had to pay $1900. WOAH. I tried reaching out to my sales rep by phone and email and I was ghosted completely. Then, at the same time, I get a call from a company called "Moving Services" asking me if I accepted my final balance of $2769.59. THAT IS ON TOP OF WHAT I HAD ALREADY PAID! Tl BUT I would have to confirm that I could pay that before they would send our items from the WAREHOUSE. That's really important. I was told DOOR TO DOOR in 2-3 days. Not door to warehouse to door. Our items were picked up on a Tuesday, unloaded into a warehouse where they stayed overnight, then reloaded it onto another truck.

Well Saturday comes along and we had some bad weather leading up so I checked the weather and checked in with our driver that morning to confirm we were on track. He responded and confirmed our 1-4pm window that day. Flash forward to the start time of our time frame, I sent a text to make sure we were still in track... No response. I get a text around 3:15 saying they are not coming. I responded immediately and asked them when they would come, no response. So I call and get "I don't know, we might be there around 1-2pm or something." On SUNDAY. Don't quite understand why if they were supposed to make it between 1-4pm on Saturday and they texted me at 3:15pm, why the couldn't come first thing in the morning... but whatever. They get to my house at 2:15 on Sunday... I'm already over this. They open the door, on a different truck than the one was loaded in Georgia... and it is a MESS. The passenger *** the truck starts to unload by himself, telling me that the driver didn't feel good so he was taking a nap in the cab. TAKING A NAP. The first box he takes off the truck, breaks completely and I have to help carry it inside. Not so full service. But the drivers nap never ends and thank god my dad in his SIXTIES was there to help unload the truck while the driver got to sleep. Does that seem full service? If I had a good experience, I would be a little bit annoyed about his but the fact that I had to pay an additional $1700 and one of the movers WAS SLEEPING while my dad was moving the truck and unloading the broken boxes off the truck.CONT

Desired Outcome

a manager, offered to give me a $400 refund for my dad having to help unload the truck since the driver was sleeping. I asked how they got the number that number because when I hired a full service moving company, that meant that my 63 year old father wouldnt be unloading the truck while one of the workers was sleeping. That driver was subsequently fired (admitting wrong doing.) When I spoke to *** this morning, he said they were under no obligation to refund my money and that he would email me a paper to print, sign and get notarized and I will have to take down the "awful reviews I left on the internet" and only THEN would I be sent my refund. *** then continued to tell me that if I received the check and reposted the reviews, they would sue me. I am at a complete loss. My move was over a month ago and it too me 3 weeks to get someone on the phone to even hear my complaint. Dodged calls by customer service representatives and them also hanging up on me and lying to me when I asked to speak to the Managers (*** or someone named *** I never spoke to) and I finally got *** on the phone a week ago and he said they "needed to investigate to see if they can give us a refund even though the driver was fired and he would call me on Monday." He didnt call me on Monday, I called him and he told me that they needed a couple more days to investigate. So I told him I would call and check in later this week. I called this morning and this is what I get a $400 refund IF and ONLY IF I take down my very true reviews (with photos and video to prove it) or else they withhold my refund that *** claims "they are not even obligated to give me." Anything short of at least a 50% refund is unacceptable. I want a complaint filed against *** The way he spoke to me and dealt with my complaint was unacceptable.

I'm not young enough to handle the move on my own and so I hired Northstar movers. They gave me a very fair estimate and it seemed only fair that I hire them. The crew of four men arrived right on the clock and they were all very friendly. They had years of moving experience and it showed in the way they worked. Their packing skills are amazing and they took great care in packing every little thing. After 3 hours, all the furniture and boxes were loaded onto 2 vans and we were off. The delivery was made the same day and nothing went missing. These guys are true moving experts.

Thank you Edwin for sharing with your move experience!

I would highly recommend Northstar movers. Furthermore, I will also employ their services again in the future. The owner was pleasant to deal with. We had a few date changes and it wasn't a problem for them and they never charged any extra fees for that or any other reasons. This traumatic event went better than expected and it is all because they made the process smooth and void of problems.

Thank you Forrest for sharing your experience!

My experience with moving companies had been less than desirable in the past. But this company - Northstar Movers was one company that did what was promised. They didn't charge a cent over the estimate. Their movers arrived on time and delivered everything safely. I have to mention the crew especially because they were simply the hardest working men I have ever encountered. Everything about them was so professional. They packed everything carefully and then carried everything out methodically. They made this move possible and I thank them for it.

Thank you Frank for your positive feedback

It's really better to be upfront about an issue than cowardly hiding it. That is one aspect I found very admirable about Northstar movers. I was so thankful that could squeeze me in on such a late notice. They notified me the time when the crew would arrive and they showed up right on schedule. Before they got to work, they explained to me exactly how they billed so there would be no surprises at the end. I really appreciated their gesture. They men were very efficient at packing and loading. They were done with my 3-bedroom apartment in just under 2 hours. I think I saved a lot of money for how efficient and fast they were. My belongings were delivered on time and nothing suffered any damage. I knew exactly what I paid for what. If you start comparing, it's just as much as the other moving companies charge. But these guys make you feel like your money was well spent.

I am so glad to have made it out of my small town in the country. My mother also moved with me and she had collected a lot of junk back home. We just had to hire Northstar Movers for the moving purposes. I have heard some great things about this company and their work proved why they were so good at their work. Each and every of their movers is very well trained. The best thing is that they don't judge what they are packing and loading. Otherwise my mom's old couch must have seen some snooty stares! These guys have been moving valuable objects for years and years. They are just awesome!

Thank you

All the moving companies we have hired in the past couldn't even come close to the efficiency levels of Northstar movers. Starting from the moment I called them till they made the delivery, everything was just spot on. I was impressed with their punctuality. We have never had movers arriving on time in the past. The movers were very creative while packing our valuables. Even the furniture was wrapped in shrinking tape. They delivered on time and my valuables traveled very safely. People should always hire Northstar movers.
