Crowdfund Rescue Reviews (%countItem)

They took *** to prepare, launch AND to pay for all advertising needed for a successful Crowdfunding Campaign. Nothing ever happened.
These are the points of interaction with InventureX. You can see how badly treated we have been by them. No deadline has ever been met. No promised deliverables have ever been delivered. They literally just took *** from us.
You can find plenty of people who they have done this too as well.
Ultimately, ***, from InventureX blamed their lack of professionalism and missed deadlines on the CURRENT world pandemic, even though they had been missing deadlines since they received the money. You can see those details below. I have records of all emails and conversations.

January 21st @ 3:08 PM - Received email to schedule "Launch Plan & Partnership Review" scheduled for January 22nd
January 22nd @ 4:56 PM - Received email from *** welcoming us to the "InventureX Club" January 23rd @ 11:38AM - *** confirmed she had received the funds ***
Within 1 hour from me making the wire transfer, they were already confirming, being efficient and proactive. But then, right after this point, they just stopped caring.
January 27th @ 7:04 PM - They asked me for our email and password *** Kickstarter to get "project page underway" - I replied immediately
January 29th @ 10:11 PM - I get access to my GoogleDrive folder to upload our files - I Uploaded all of our files by 10:22 PM
January 20th @ 11:12 AM - Received email from *** stating that InventureX will review the assets and "get back to you shortly"
"Shortly" in here translated to 15 days of ZERO communication
February 10th @ 2:34 PM - I sent an email to *** and *** asking them about any type of update to see how the project was going and why nothing had been done
February 15th @ 10:51 AM - I sent an email to *** letting her know that it was unacceptable that it was 15 days later and I had not heard anything from anyone at InventureX
February 17th @ 11:42 AM - *** finally emails me asking to set-up a time for a call to give me an update
February 18th @ 1:00 PM - Had phone conversation with *** He reassured everything was going great, on track. He also sent me an email stating "We're still on March 17" ... "the team is working on the rough draft of the following: 3 PR media pitches to send to media outlets and blogs. Campaign page rough draft + Headers"
Up until this day, not even one sentence from any of those has been sent to me.
February 26 @ 4:30 PM - I sent an email to *** asking him why we hadn't received ANYTHING, even though during our phone conversation, he stated that by the end of that week we would be reviewing what he had promised.
February 28th @ 2:32 AM - I received a list of blogs that have shown other "Fitness" Kickstarter campaigns. From the moment we wired the funds, this is the very first item delivered and it's not even anything made for our campaign. No promised deliverables have been sent.
March 4th @ 2:32 PM - I received an email from *** that contains 5 drafted emails to send to email lists. Again, after more than a month, this is what we receive? With the campaign launching 13 days away from this date?
March 12th - I sent an email to *** and *** letting them know how concerned I was. Nothing had been done, campaign was not relatively close to being launch-ready.
March 16th @ 6:01 PM - I sent yet another email following up, because again... no response at all from InventureX
March 17th - I sent an email to *** and *** letting them know we did not want to continue working with InventureX. Nothing that was promised was delivered. Nothing was on time. We were working based off of March 17 as guided by them and lost thousands of dollars in marketing that date. Way before the pandemic, InventureX had already missed properly handling the project.
March 18th @ 6:56 PM - *** sends me an email blaming the project failure on the Coronavirus.
Look closely at all the times InventureX continuously failed WAY BEFORE the world situation even came up.
Nothing was ever delivered.

Desired Outcome

We are seeking a refund. Since the very beginning, after they took our money, they have not been responsible about the project. They would only reply to my emails after sending a 2nd or 3rd email saying that it was unacceptable from them to not reply. When they did reply, it was always a false promise and a generic response. NOTHING promised was ever delivered. On top of that, when we engaged in conversation, the *** was supposed to cover all the marketing/advertising budget for the campaign. They never did work for the campaign and they never spent any of our money in advertising because they never launched the campaign. How can they not give us our money back. This is beyond theft. It's taking advantage of people who to start off are in need of help to be able to materialize a vision, a dream. Companies like this cannot be allowed to just destroy others' life savings without the slightest care. Something needs to be done. We need our money refunded back to us.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Apr 21, 2020

Hi ***, our team has resolved most of these issues with you during the project already. We're happy to fix any other issues or if you have specific edits on any of the work. Our team put in a substantial amount of time, money, and energy into preparing your project for launch. Naturally, we would like to see it through or else its a loss. There would be No Refunds if you decide to cancel or hire another firm to finish the final work.

As you know, many crowdfunding launches are delayed due to the current Covid19 pandemic. However, we are doing our best to service all existing clientele and you have priority. In fact, we are not servicing new clients until the current launches are completed. That's our commitment to our clients and delivering the best possible customer service during these difficult times. Thanks

Customer Response • Apr 27, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
You actually have not resolved a single one of the problems that we have brought to you.
If you actually read all the proof I sent in the complaint, you would notice that you have not delivered a single item that was promised.
You continuously failed to reply in a timely manner and as of today, April 27th, 2020, after 2 months you still didn't deliver a single item that YOU actually mentioned in your emails that YOU would deliver.

You say you are "happy to fix any other issues" What are you going to fix when you haven't even done our Kickstarter Page? There is nothing to fix when you haven't worked on anything.
This just shows how all your responses are generic and you always reply with the same vague answer to keep taking advantage of people. This will not be the case.

I invested *** that you said would be used to create collateral material for marketing as well as to pay for the marketing platforms to advertise the campaign. How is it that now you tell me I have to loose all my *** when you haven't even delivered what you said you were going to and you haven't spent a single penny on actually showing any ads for our campaign? That is literally stealing money from people. Where's the part of my money you were going to use to advertise this campaign?

Please stop using the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse because once again, if you look at all the proof I sent, you dropped our project right from the beginning.
A week before our campaign launch date, you didn't have anything ready to actually market this project. I have proof of this. All the "substantial amount of time" you put was to come up with a generic list of facebook groups and 5 generically drafted emails. The Kickstarter page was never even touched! Once again, all this was a big failure way before COVID-19.

Also, you promised that you would do a send email blasts during our "pre-launch" to get people excited about our project. You never sent a single email!
Days before our launch date, I even reached out to you about what was going with our Campaign. You completely missed the launch the date and you didn't even reply. So YOU decided all by yourself that we weren't going to launch?
However you look at this, you have done wrong.

I'm not even asking for a full refund, and NO, I will not be working EVER with any other crowdfunding company because you destroyed the possibility of ever trusting a company of your type after all your have done.

As a business that actually cares and is "committed to your clients", you would see how you made a big mistake and didn't take care of our Campaign. Rectifying the situation and giving us a partial refund is literally the only thing that can start to make things right.

You took a big amount of money that I had saved for a long time to finally materialize my vision and now you disrespect me by taking the money and not delivering? You disrespect your own company by not showing integrity and not doing what's right.

I have taken this whole situation to an attorney and they have read the contract as well as every single email and all the proof I have. There is no doubt I will win this case. I have found over 6 people online as well who have been so dissatisfied with you and in the same situation that I'm in, that they are actively working on a case against you for fraud.

We want our partial refund to not have to deal with you ever again. If not, I will take full legal action. It is completely unacceptable that a company like yours can take people's money without any repercussions.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • May 13, 2020

Hi ***, I'm sorry you feel that way about our company and Crowdfund Marketing Agencies as a whole. While we cannot speak for every crowdfunding company, based on our experience we do know that it is a difficult industry to please everybody. Our company has never been involved in any legal suit of any kind because we simply do not conduct business in the way you are claiming on your post. It is obvious that you are trying to hurt our reputation in order to get money back for your project that you are cancelling. We do not provide a refund if you change your mind about crowdfunding or hiring an agency. This is clearly written in the signed agreement. However, purely in the interests of customer satisfaction, we are willing to propose a refund credit of *** Please let us know if that is agreeable to you. Best of luck with your project and stay safe.

Customer Response • May 22, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Also clearly written in the signed agreement is the fact that you were supposed to start a "Pre-Launch Marketing" Campaign which you never did. That was 2 months before COVID-19 (in case you want to use that as an excuse again)
So you clearly breached the contract because there was a set date to launch the campaign (and I have records of our communication indicating this) and you never launched the Pre-marketing campaign.

You never sent a single pre-launch email. You never built interest for the launch. You never developed detailed marketing assets. You never optimized the crowdfunding page. ALL THOSE ITEMS are outlined in the agreement which YOU never completed.

So no, this is not about trying to "hurt your reputation", this is about you not stealing money for work you never completed.

I also have files with records of the many complaints of victims of your scheme that speak for your poor moral conduct. Look at your agreement and talk it with your lawyers because they will tell you, you have no case.

How do you think is ok to take our money when you didn't meet the deliverables? Look at the signed agreement yourself which you obviously haven't done. You breached the contract.

I will not settle for anything less than half of our investment.
If you don't agree to do the right thing, then we will see you in court.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Jun 10, 2020

Hello again ***, although we understand the frustration I hope that you can see it from our point of view. We did all of the prelaunch marketing and necessary consulting from start to finish for your project - it is all documented. We can also send you a 12 page report detailing the services completed for your project. If you chose to cancel right before launch or wish to use another service then we can only offer you a *** credit. This is all very clear in the agreement and is standard in the crowdfund marketing industry regardless of which agency you choose. Let me know if this is agreeable to you or not. Best of luck with your launch

and partner *** (from Shark Tank) are running a scam.
My name is *** and I'm a leader in the space of healthcare reform. This is a factual account of my experience with ***, a crowdfunding company. I signed with *** on December 13, 2019, after being lured in by the prospect of "partnering" with *** from TVs Shark Tank. That same day, I received a personalized video from *** himself (which I still have) saying how excited he was to work with me using *** as the crowdfunding platform to raise needed funds for my project, a healthcare reform documentary. In the video *** actually mentions *** by name and as well as ***'s name (supposedly the vice president of ***, ***). Of course, I was excited initially to sign with them and the kick-off discussion was the same day. The kick-off call was with *** and *** among others. As with many other testimonials I've heard, the initial conversation seemed professional and enthusiastic and they effectively promised the moon with a slew of "goodies" I would be getting including: pre-launch marketing, audience research and development, a Kickstarter page build-out, press release, influencer engagement, social media hype and email marketing. The date I am writing this is March 13, 2020. Since the date of signing there has been zero initiative, updates or otherwise from ***! The Kickstarter page they promised has not been developed or even touched. I would periodically call asking for a status update but would instead get the runaround from what seemed to be some kind of a remote call center about how so-and-so wasn't available and they would pass along the message, which of course they didn't or it was simply ignored... Often, the reception staff was very rude and quick tempered. I would also periodically send emails asking for updates, which weren't responded to. Upon learning about all of the other testimonials out there on the internet and hearing the same stories as mine about how they were scammed, I was finally able to arrange a call with *** (though I didn't tell him I was aware of the scam when setting up the call). Then on the call I proceeded to mention everything to *** I was aware of and how they are obviously running a scam operation. *** had clearly heard this many times before and was completely unshaken, simply returning the conversation back to how he could help me with my crowdfunding campaign-which I obviously was no longer interested in! During the conversation with *** I told him that I would be informing *** that they are running a scam operation and providing other testimonials to him as well (I do actually have connections to him). Interestingly, *** was completely unraveled by the notion of me notifying *** (makes you think). After this call on the same day, I sent an email to the entire team at *** letting them know about my call earlier with *** and that I am clearly not playing games and demanded my money (***) back. *** replied to this email with a diversion tactic similar to that used by *** in my conversation with him, simply turning the focus back to how they can help me with my crowdfunding campaign (really!?). After this, I proceeded with my plan to inform *** that I was aware of the *** scam. My contact (a close colleague of his) said the information was forwarded to ***. Though I asked that *** clear his name, I never heard back from one

Desired Outcome

Return of the *** I sent them for not doing anything at all.

Hi ***, your vague accusations are not productive in resolving your issue. We're happy to fix any issues that you're experiencing with your project managers or marketing launch in a professional way. Please reply to my emails versus just slandering us so we can best help you.

Also, many crowdfunding launches are delayed due to the current Covid19 pandemic. However, we are doing our best to service all existing clientele and you have priority. In fact, we are not servicing new clients until the current launches are completed. That's our commitment to our clients and delivering the best possible customer service during these difficult times. Thanks

Customer Response • Apr 07, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is a typical canned response from the business which does not specifically address any of the particular concerns mentioned in my complaint. I have received several other notices from various individuals ripped off by this business. A class action lawsuit and criminal investigation is pending. All of the evidence supports the fact that they are running a Ponzi scheme.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Apr 21, 2020

Hi ***, I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. Every crowdfund marketing agency will have good and bad reviews. That is the nature of the industry unfortunately. However, our team is always happy to revolve any issues you're having with our marketing services or work and fix anything Free of charge. If you wish to cancel your project or use a different marketing agency then we can offer you a refund credit of $*** to part ways. Regards

This company also know as Inventurex.com and they have not upheld there end of the deal and now I am afraid they will steal my money.
I decided to do business with Inventurex last year because they associate themselves with Shark Tank and ***. So I didn't worry about the companies credibility and check here first or for negative reviews. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!! What a shame Shark Tank is associated with them and I will be filing a complaint with them also. I gave a 28k to start my project which they said was perfect candidate for their service. They said we need to get moving because this will be for the first quarter campaign. They show urgency to get moving and make sure we could get this thing campaign running in March. When they were trying to get my money I received 14 emails staying contact and then when they received my money it got real quite. Then three weeks later I didn't hear anything so I emailed asking how things were going and they said they were waiting on my info which I sent. I send it again and again they said they didn't receive. Three days this goes on and then they finally receive it saying sorry sent the "didn't receive it to the wrong person". From January to now I have sent 20 emails with many ignored, I only received 7 emails. So that tells you how many of my emails were ignored and not answered. I kept asking for an update and to see where we are in the process and they were basically ignored. Never received anything showing me were they were in the process. No Video, Press releases, or anything. Just two lists of organizations and Facebook groups that would be a good fit. I could have created this list within hours. The last email they responded to was me saying I better hear something, or I am getting an attorney. They respond within the same day saying they understand my frustration and the team will get back to me with an itinerary of the progress by Friday. No surprise NOTHING!!!! When they associated themselves with Shark Tank and *** and saying they will talk to *** about getting me on Shark Tank because I have such a great campaign. I never thought I would have to check the credibility of this company. I cannot wait to see what Shark Tank thinks about them using their name as a reference.

Desired Outcome

I want a complete Refund I can't work anymore with Inventurex. I do not trust them. Now they will just rush the process and have it fail. They dropped the ball. They provide an awful customer experience. I want a total refund. As I told them in the email no refund we will dance.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Mar 19, 2020

We have been in touch with the customer to update them on the work performed. Thankfully the issues mentioned have been resolved with the customer and our company is trying its best to continue working during Coronavirus shutdown. The customer has chosen to continue working with us in order to successfully promote their project.

Breach of Contract, Customer Service failure, Refund issues/complaint
Purchase Date - August 2019
Problem Date - November 2019
Business Name: ***

As per my contract :

"Client intends to engage *** to conduct a digital marketing campaign with the goal of maximizing the exposure and funds raised for Client's upcoming crowdfunding project"

*** never completed any digital marketing campaign with the funds sent. *** did not maximize the exposure of Allergy land and did not raise funds for or even launch a campaign.

*** is fraudulent

*** HAS greatly set my business into a declining state. As a honest hard working business woman we make decisions for other aspects of a start up company based on multiple agreed and contracted timelines. I have many business set backs due to dealing with ***. *** preys on start ups who are trying to raise funds and they prey on business owners understanding the value of using money to get more money.

I do not want to continue to wait on *** or continue any business arrangement with a dishonest company that should have launched my business campaign by November 2019.

I have requested several times by phone and in writing for "where and how" they are advertising, pre launch strategies etc..for Allergy lands campaign.*** has never provided this information to me.
I have proof/emails, recorded phone calls of all claims. They had hundreds of bots or fake followers for my busi

*** missed the agreed crowd funding launch date in November 2019!!!. I paid them *** CAD Approximately 14,500 USD in August 2019. They told me they would spend 2-3 months on pre marketing efforts, campaign strategies, campaign videos etc. I also paid them an extra $500 / month for social media marketing as they advised it was going to help the campaign be more successful. ! *** never explained to me in regards to why we missed launch dates. In fact, All *** does is IGNORE EMAILS and LIE. when he responds maybe 3 weeks later he offers no *** ignores your previous questions and you get no where with this company or with ***, ***, ***,*** and the other *** THAT work for this company. I was lied to constantly. I was told in December (after hounding them with calls) the they were waiting for kickstarter but there was nothing submitted to kickstarter after I checked with Kickstarter. If you deal with this company DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL OR HONEST BUSINESS BY ANY MEANS. Along with being ignored, I have requested a refund several times and so far I have heard nothing back. I WANT A REFUND FOR A SERVICE THEY NEVER PROVIDED. December 2019 and JAN 2020. I heard nothing from ***. I would call constantly and I would "schedule" phone calls. AT the scheduled time for the call - *** would never ever once actually pick up my phone calls at the scheduled time. At one point I was transferred to *** and then *** to answer for ***. Other times, I would be transferred to random Virtual assistants.Till date since November 2019, a small edit request to a video has still not been done. Its 3 days away from March 2020 as I type this.

I would call their office several times and "***" never KNEW anything about their clients. Eventually I had to cancel the social media campaign as they were burning cash and I started to see working with this business is a dead end. *** does not intend to help raise any funds.

I have sent *** more than 4 emails requesting a refund and terminating any ties with them.

I emailed *** in Feb 2020 only then did *** email me back and then lie about how he has been "responding' to my emails. Eventually *** sent me an email saying they would launch my campaign in March 2020.

I am in contact with 7 other *** clients. I am willing to spend my time online and contacting the media about this company as I have been extremely patient with them and I am now at the end of my rope in dealing with them

Desired Outcome

REFUND ALLERGY LAND INC PAYMENT OF *** USD

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Mar 11, 2020

Hi ***, our team has been working with you for months to prepare the project. It is now ready for launch. We just need your final review and approval. You also received a 34 page report detailing the work completed per the contract. If there are any edits please let us know that too, we're happy to help.

As our team discussed with you this week, if your crowdfunding plans have changed because of recent events then that is unfortunately outside of our refund policy. Our team also does not work for free.

Let us know if you would like to proceed and launch the project or if you need more time or if you would like to cancel your venture and receive a partial refund.

I am seeking a refund from Inventure X as they have not performed as promised per the contract signed.
I contacted Inventure X to handle a crowdfunding campaign in May 2019. I researched them and could not find a bad review so I paid the initial $500 deposit they requested before they would schedule a meeting to talk about my idea. I was advised to watch a video regarding their marketing strategy and process, so I did. They were very impressive with their pitch regarding their company and I trusted them especially since a former Shark Tank investor is a part of their team and since their website shows they were featured in Forbes and Entrepreneur magazines.
After a few conference calls with different individuals, I was told they loved my idea and said they would like to work with me so I moved forward with doing business with them. *** (the VP) even sent me an email stating he spoke with *** (former Shark Tank investor) about my project and attached a welcome video with *** in it (which undoubtedly added to my excitement).
After signing the contract I had a call with the project manager and was given instructions to upload any information I had for my project to a shared folder. Prior to this, I had a call with *** and at the end of the call he asked if I was a go getter (per se) giving me the impression that when they request information I should get it to them quickly. Needless to say, when the project manager requested information I got it to him quickly. Things seemed to be moving along the first couple of weeks after I signed the contract because the project manager requested information from me which gave me the impression that they were working diligently on my project. However, after the initial emails from the project managers, *** and ***, asking me to upload information, there was no contact from anyone for weeks unless I emailed following up on status. What was even more frustrating was that no one even bothered to respond to my email nor did they take phone calls.
I signed the contract on June 1, 2019. I was told the pre-launch marketing would take 60 days and the campaign would be launched in August 2019. August came and went and no one bothered to call to give an explanation or an apology. It has now been 9 months and the Kickstarter campaign page, video and website are still unfinished. I emailed *** on January 18th and advised that if the project isn't launched within 30 days that I want a refund for breach of contract. Needless to say the project did not launch so I emailed *** on February 20, 2020 requesting he process my refund but he has not responded.
I took a loan out to fund this project and have been making payments for 9 months while Inventure X sits on my funds month after month with little progress. I was led to believe the project would launch within 90 days of signing the contract so I no longer have faith in Inventure X's ability so I would like a full refund of all monies sent so I can move forward with my project elsewhere.

Desired Outcome

A full refund of all monies sent

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
***,
The project has been in the works for months as I signed the contract on June 1, 2019; however, let's make it clear that the project has not been worked on by your team consistently as months have gone by without any progress or communication. It is also untrue that the project is ready to launch as I requested changes to the campaign page in September 2019 and also to the video and neither have been corrected. I advised you and your team of this a few times and you advised that the edits will be made. The link to the page you sent with your response a week ago still has the unedited campaign page and video. Also, I paid for a website only because *** advised that it will be an added enhancement for the pre-launch campaign; however, to date I have not even seen a draft. So please explain how the project can be ready to launch if these things have not been done? Also, if the pre-launch is complete (since you are stating the project is ready to launch), I think it is only fair that you refund the *** immediately for the website since it is not needed.

Thank you

We decided to do business with Inventurex last year. We gave a deposit of ***$ to this company. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the process until Fall-2019. We scheduled a first call with the team but it didn't work. When we've reached out Inventurex to say that they wasn't available for the call they told us that we never called even if we tried 3 times. We scheduled another call. They cancelled it by email 5 minutes before the call: ''Our team is not available for a team call today and will reschedule before Dec 13th to plan for the 2020 Q1 launch calendar. Please send over the list of questions your team has for the call as the calendly invite had a blank question section.'' I was waiting to reschedule it. I called many time after Dec 13th in order to reschedule the call without success. I've even reached out Kevin Harrington, Shark Tank to explain that I have a bad experience. He didn't replied. I finally asked for a refund by phone and email. So I wrote them : ''Nobody rescheduled the call before Dec 13th. As I understand you guys are pretty busy. On our side, we'll launch the product for which we were supposed to use the crowdfunding (March 2020). Can we have a refund of our 12k deposit''' They said that they didn't set up a call because I've not send my questions. So, we decided to give a last chance to Inventurex. I've sent the questions, we had a call on January 7th. On that call, I asked to Joe: please provide a list of the marketing material we need. He didn't provide it. I've made a follow up on January 13th. No answer, no list. I've made a follow up on February 7th and asking for a refund. No answers. So, we paid for something that we never had.

Desired Outcome

Refund I can't work anymore with Inventurex. I do not trust them. They provide an awful customer experience. I want a total refund.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Feb 18, 2020

Hi ***, I believe there is some misunderstanding. Our team has spoken with your team several times at length about the best crowdfunding strategy for your many product iterations. We have been consulting with your company before you even began working there. We also have emails sent to your team that were not responded to. I know that your team has undergone some changes in personnel lately so please reach out to your project managers and our VP. We are ready to get this project moving and your company has definitely not waiting on us. Thank you

Customer Response • Feb 20, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Dear Inventurex,
It's more than a simple misunderstanding. I've taken notice of all the communications between our team and your team. On November 2th, 2018 we expressed our concerns about the lack of guidance. Our team has grown over the years and only one member is no longer present. The team around the crowdfunding project has effectively changed in order to check if other members could carry out the project. Unfortunately, we have all had a disappointing experience. I will not reach out to my project manager for the simple reason that most of the time, he ignores my emails and reply only when the word refund is involved in the email. I gave the last chance to your team on December 31th and now asking for a full refund. Your team failed to perform. On January 7th, my project manager asks us for marketing material. In order to be ready for March, I asked him to provide a list of everything he needs. One week after, I've sent a reminder because he failed to his commitment. One month after, I told him that it was enough and that I was asking for a refund. A couple of hours after, he replied that we need to set up my bank account in Kick Starter. Nothing about marketing material. Now, it's too late for a March campaign. Our business will obviously be affected by this situation and will lost business opportunities. I'm only asking for a refund but will not hesitate to escalate the problem to another level.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Feb 25, 2020

Hi ***, I'm sorry to hear that. Your company put down a deposit of 50% of the marketing fee back in August of 2018 before you joined the team in order to retain our consulting and marketing services. The remaining balance is due before launch. If you cancel now then the initial deposit is non-refundable, but there will be no additional fees owed. See section 2A in the agreement:

2. Term and Termination

a. ...The crowdfunding launch date can be extended or postponed free of charge in the event that there are any unforeseen delays with the product, manufacturing, or other events. In the event of any termination, paid fees and deposits are not refundable.

In this situation, asking for a refund of the deposit paid over 1.5 years ago and getting our consulting is well beyond any refund policy we have. But I am happy to assign a new project manager and continue if you are having issues with your current manager. Let me know. Thank you

Inventurex,

I understand your point but we didn't get the service we paid for. If we decide to move forward with a new project manager. What are our recourse if he does not follow up with us?

Phases are pretty clear and apart from strategic discussions, no steps have been completed.

We have numerous complaints against ***:
1. Misrepresentation
2. Failure to deliver services
3. Little to no communication after investing $***
From above:
1. Misrepresentation: They said they needed to run all deals past ***, which is part of the reason they needed the upfront payment. False! We've heard from *** and that is not true.

2. They failed to deliver on the Kickstarter service they offered. They raised the minimum Kickstarter amount from $*** to $***, costing our company a lot of money. They did almost nothing from what they contractually promised today. They were essentially a slient, non-existing partner.

3. Worst communication we've ever experienced with a company! They took all $*** up front and then the communications virtually ceased until we threatened them with litigation. Then, communication was sparse at best. Again, during the Kickstarter, and even well before, they rarely responded to emails, calls, or texts.

In the end, they cost us $*** for their service (for which we lost another $*** because of the Kickstarter that they promised would generate significant returns).

This is was a scam from the beginning. Total incompetence at the minimum and criminal fraud/negligence at the maximum.

We have email chain after email chain to show this claim. We even had an attorney ready to go if they didn't respond to our litigation threat. He was even appalled at what they were doing.

Thank you!

Desired Outcome

At a minimum, we would like to see this fraudulent company held responsible for their lies and lack of promised service. Second, it would be nice to get at least a good size refund back since they failed to deliver the promised service in every way (and cost us a lot more money because of their incompetence and negligence). Third, we want future customers protected from their negligence. Thank you!

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Feb 11, 2020

thanks for the feedback. Sorry to hear that you feel that way about our company. Our team worked closely with you and your fellow teammates for months to diligently setup, launch, and promote your project. Our records show that you approved all the work that we created for the project. We also have emails of praise from your team during the process. The project you launched with our company was also successfully funded. It sounds like the issue is you were not happy with the communication throughout the whole process and mainly the profit your product launch generated for you. While we can always improve communication, we cannot guarantee the exact amount of funding or profit you will achieve. Results will vary. I believe we make this very clear in all of our marketing and agreements. Purely in the interests of customer satisfaction we can offer you a partial refund credit of $***.

Customer Response • Feb 12, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If you refund *** we will all move on.

Let me explain why that is only a drop in the bucket compared to how much we lost because of you and why that would be smart for you:

1. We also have a long list of emails showing missed deadlines, lack of communication, and contractual violations.

2. We had to hire a third party, just to do what you said you would do to actually get it launched on Kickstarter. You actually had very little to do with the launch, it was *** who did a lot of the work that you were contracted to do.

3. We wanted to set the Kickstarter at *** and you wanted to move it to *** - which we did. Horrible suggestion! You only brought in about *** for the whole kickstarter and we had to pay the other *** out of our pocket to hit the goal. In other words, your suggestion caused to lose even more money and it wouldn't have been close to funding without our own money.

4. We've already shown this whole case to an attorney who said this is a slam dunk case. He also suggested that we talk with the local district attorney in your area for criminal prosecution of fraud. Just so you know, someone else reached out to me on Instagram with the exact same story...you took her money and she can't reach you.

*** barely scratches the surface on how much you cost us in this whole thing. If you pay that, we all go our separate ways. If not, we'll go the legal and civil route and you will definitely hear from us again. I'll also call and talk with *** as I'm sure he would love to hear all this.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Feb 18, 2020

Hi ***, we appreciate your feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve our business and customer experience. In the interests of customer satisfaction, the team accepts your offer of *** so we can part ways. The team will email you the paperwork to start that process this afternoon. In the meantime please mark this complaint as Resolved per the Revdex.com guidelines. Best of luck with your venture

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

A refund was requested after I noticed they were not living up to their promises they gave me.
On November 25th I called *** the VP of ***eting and we agreed to terms for them to help with my Kickstarter campaign and a date of payment was set for around the 7th of December. One of the terms was for my team, that they were going to set me up with should take a look at my powerpoint to get caught up to my products goals and visions. *** agreed at the time and said they would with the addition of once you get that payment in they would get started. December 9th the payment went through. December 10th I was sent over an "Onboarding form" in which I filled out and requested on the form that the people I am going to work with should take a look at my powerpoint. On December 12th I had a call with the team I was going to work with and at this point, the team agreed to view the powerpoint amongst other promises of work and also agreed to . Emails were exchanged throughout the month. On the 23rd of December I asked if I can help with marketing since I wanted to get my campaign the best results and questions were asked of me in the following email sent to me from ***. I sent over my last email of the month answering these question but still wondering if this was a plan that can help them. I did not receive an email for a week and was in good conscious believing that the holidays were to blame. On the 13th I reviewed my campaign on kickstarter and nothing was done except for the name of my project which was not the name I gave them of my product and they used a word in the name which has nothing to do with my project. I ended up looking for a similar word which I believed they were trying to use and not the other. This was a company that was running my campaign and they couldn't even take the time to make sure the one thing they did for my project was accurate. I went ahead to check if anyone had taken a look at my powerpoint and nobody did on my end hich I had taken a lot of time and research to make just for them and no one had taken a look at it. We were less than 2 months away from my campaign and the one thing I pushed for them to do was not taken into account. On the 14th of January I had to sent an email again because there was never a reply and at this point I wanted a refund. Emails were exchanged between me and *** and no mention of me getting a refund was mentioned but they wanted to keep moving forward. *** mentioned that the powerpoint was opened on the 18th of January by *** and *** which I did not see on my end but even if that was the case, there were other team members that did not open my powerpoint. My powerpoint was opened but was not read and studied. And even if it was opened on one day, there is no way they went through the whole thing and memorized that long of a powerpoint. Emails stopped on their end and I emailed *** again on the 18th of January stating that I wanted a refund and moving forward would be uncomfortable for me due to the mentioned reasons. *** agreed to a refund but not the deposit amount of 500$ even though in their refund policy there is no mention of the deposit being kept no matter the circumstances. I do not have any of the contracts or forms I filled out due to me not being able to sign into "Docusign." I know inventurex has these forms. My campaign was to be released in March.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Feb 11, 2020

Hi ***, our team had a meeting about your project. Any delays on your project page design are due to your prototype being in the early stages. There is not much content we can use to finalize your project page just yet. All focus was put into the prelaunch marketing activities. That being said, if you would rather launch the project yourself without our help than you are free to do that. As we mentioned already, since we are in the early stages of your project we are happy to give you a full refund and part ways so we can better help other startups seeking our assistance.

Customer Response • Feb 13, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Yes, I would prefer to launch the campaign myself and without assistance but thank you guys for your understanding and for giving me a full refund.

I highly recommend the services of InventureX for the crowdfunding needs of your business. The brilliant people who will launch your campaign will have a plan made specifically for your company. Their approach to doing is quite transparent yet creative. And communications were spot on!

I unfortunately went to another place to launch my business's crowdfunding campaign and I wasted a lot of money. I SHOULD have gone to InventureX from the beginning! Unlike the other place, communications with these people were solid! The team was so helpful and most importantly, quite attentive to my needs.

These are the experts when it comes to launching crowdfunding campaigns. We received top shelf quality customer service from their team and they know the quickest way to get to the attention of potential investors. There is no need to search for anyone else but InventureX for your campaign.

I paid InventureX $*** on 12/19/2019. They failed to deliver the services promised and refuse a to provide a full refund.
I paid InventureX $*** for a service I never got. After *** (marketing team) stopped returning my messages I contacted the *** (VP) who said I could "cancel" the "partnership." On January 3rd he agreed to "cancel" my campaign, but he refused to offer me a full refund because there were "costs associated with my campaign." To be clear, there was nothing too cancel because no actual relevant work had been done.

When I requested evidence that the marketing team (*** and *** did the work they claimed to do, no evidence was provided. Specifically, I requested the following. I received no response on any of this:

1. Copies of the emails the marketing team claims to have sent to folks on their backer list with the data for views and likes.

2. A screen shot of the FB ads the marketing team claims were in the testing stages.

3. A screenshot of the ads in the FB manager with date of launch and cost.

4. Names and IG or FB account for the several influencers they have contacted who agreed to feature the product on their page.

5. Copies of the messages the marketing team claims to have sent to these influencers.

To be clear, my Kickstarter campaign ended up over-funded and none of the backers were traced back to InventureX, so, clearly, my product and my campaign was not the issue. The issue is that no work was done. (If any work was completed, the company would have been able to-pride evidence.)

They did post a few blogs (most likely on sites owned by the company), but the blogs were filled with misspellings and blatant inaccuracies.

Desired Outcome

I would like InventureX to provide a full refund of *** in a timely manner. Thank you.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Jan 14, 2020

This was NOT an InventureX crowdfunding project launch. The client asked for our help with only 10 days left on their project. After discussing the limitations, they agreed to hire us for $*** to help boost their campaign. Unfortunately there was very little we could do during the short 10 day timeframe because it also coincided with the holidays (Christmas and New Years). This resulted in a lot of frustration on both sides. We decided to cancel our promotion early and agreed to a full refund.

Customer Response • Jan 15, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept the company's response. For a number of reasons, (1) Their statement includes verifiable inaccuracies. For instance, here were 17 days left of my Kickstarter campaign and not 10 days, which is quite a difference when the campaign is only 30 days. I have the contracts to prove this. (2) The company did not express any concerns at all regarding the holidays. Had they done so, I would not entered into an agreement with them. Instead they told me they were confident they could get me *** more than my goal. (3) The company has agreed to a full refund but only under the condition that I mark this and another complaint resolved 3 days prior to receiving my refund. I am not comfortable closing this complaint until I have confirmation of the refund, and not just an agreement, because I am not convinced the company will follow through. I am also not convinced that asking me to do so is not a violation of the Consumer Review Fairness Act.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Jan 27, 2020

Hi ***, we have been trying to send you a full refund and resolve this with you. Our legal counsel has also reached out to you trying to process your full refund again in a way that you are more "comfortable" with. Please get back to him or us so you can receive your refund. Thank you

Customer Response • Jan 29, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
InventureX has not been trying to reach me regarding a refund. I have spoke to their legal council and made my terms clear. InventureX is only willing to issue my refund AFTER I close out this complaint as "resolved" and remove a negative review. I have made it very clear that I will not mark any complaint as resolved until I actually receive my refund, rather than closing out complaints as a condition of a refund. InventureX is not willing to negotiate their terms. A complaint is not resolved upon agreement to resolve an issue but instead upon an actual resolution. Since InventureX took my money and did not do the work they agreed to do via contract, they have already violated one contract so I do not see why I should have any faith they will follow through with the terms of a second contract after I close out any complaints or reviews against them. I am in the process of pursuing my refund via another third party agency and I am prepared to take InventureX to small claims court as a last resort.

My company was in serious need of a crowdfunding campaign but I had no idea how to go about it. That's why I am so happy for the recommendation to seek out the services of InventureX. After meeting with us they came up with an incredible marketing strategy tailored specifically for my company!

DO NOT work with them.

Initially, I was extremely impressed by all the communication. I received reminder calls and spoke to Sarah before each call. I was not at all put off by the $500 because I had researched them and couldn't find a bad review.

My company had a couple setbacks with our developer's visa and asked them how to proceed based on a new launch date. I started seeing several emails were not being responded to. The first stern communication I sent to them had a three day delay and advised me to sing up for a meeting through their scheduling app and advised that pushing the launch date from July back to September was just fine.

From that point on we continued to see little responses to our emails. I scheduled THREE meetings and each were ignored, having no email response to my emails asking why they were not meeting us. At one point, I actually asked them "FOR THE LOVE, WILL SOMEONE RESPOND TO ME" NO word for 4 days. When they finally responded, they didn't even address the fact that they were not communicating.

I asked for my money back and they didn't even address my concerns.

They advised in our early talks to that all the apps they run campaigns for easiy acquire $100k. Before I gave them the full $13k, I asked them why they thought we could raise $100k when the research shows that successful campaigns raise under $10k. They balked at this and said that was absurd. So we made the goal $100k and throughout the campaign (which they did not do any pre advertising for) I asked for ways we could improve and they didn't even respond.

Our campaign was closed 30 days ago and I still have no communication.

I hired InventureX last year (XXXX) to help with a crowdfunding campaign. We paid up front and never received the full list of promised services.
In 2018 I hired InventureX to help my small startup with a Kickstarter Crowdfunding campaign. We originally hired them in March, paid them thousands of dollars up front and had a scheduled timeline to alunch in July.

Fast forward several months and we've barely heard anything. Come the week we were supposed to launch our project was not ready and our launch date was pushed back several times. Little to none of what we were promised was completed and after several delays our campaign finally launched.

Needless to say it failed miserably...raised $*** of our $*** goal (a goal that InventureX made us choose.) I work in marketing and understand that you cant really gaurantee a successfull ROI, but we never received any of the marketing proof and assets that what we paid for was ever completed.

On top of that communication after payment dropped off the map. After our campaing as we continued to email them with complaints we got one email response with an backhanded apology that our campaign was not successful.

Desired Outcome

We are hoping to receive a full or partial refund before pursuing legal action.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Jan 23, 2020

Thanks for your feedback. Although the first project was cancelled early, we are pleased to see the relaunch was funded successfully. We are in touch with you to resolve any past issues from last year and move forward in the best way possible. Please email us to continue that process at your earliest convenience.

Don't make the mistake I did when it comes to launching a crowdfunding campaign. We tried doing it on our own and it was a mess. A colleague recommended the wonderful people at InventureX. There was no cookie cutting when it came to their brilliant marketing design for my business. They designed it specifically for me and they will do the same for your company!

I am so thankful for the amazing people at InventureX. They guided me through the crowdfunding process thoroughly and they addressed all of my concerns with assuredness. Communication was constant as they answered all my questions. It was so wonderful to work with them.

InventureX put together an incredibly creative campaign for my startup. The entire process was very well laid out and simple to follow. The team working with me did an awesome job and was very detailed to make certain that everything was taken care of. I am highly recommending this place!

has failed to perform the services for which it was hired.
*** was paid *** in early August, 2019 to run a Kickstarter campain to raise funds for *** They were also to receive 10% of all funds raised.
Pre-marketing was to start right away with a kick-off date of Oct. 21.
The kick-off date was missed and the folks at *** failed to respond to email and phone calls.
Eventually, a conference call to get the project moving again was held Dec. 3. After that call, *** was to tell me where to send a bike so that video promotion could be filmed in Las Vegas. I never received the information and follow-up emails received no response.

Desired Outcome

Refund the *** paid.

Once again, *** has failed to provide services as agreed. They are a FRAUD and I want my money returned. Even after they responded to the original complaint, they have again failed to perform or respond in a timely manner. I'm done waiting for this FRAUD to perform.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Feb 18, 2020

As discussed on phone at length, we have prepared the project for launch but we are just waiting on the video to be completed. The language used in your comments is not productive in resolving the issue. This extra video services were added on later at your request and we provided the editing services for free. Videos must be scheduled in advance as far as possible because they take time to complete. We already offered to switch videographers and put your project to top of his schedule to speed up the process. You indicated to hold off, because you were actually thinking about doing a licensing opportunity instead of crowdfunding it.

Customer Response • Mar 05, 2020

has failed to perform the services which were paid for over 6 months ago. They have failed to provide any evidence of any substantial work completed. Deadlines were missed. Opportunities were lost. Communication is terrible. We have NEVER accepted their response to our complaints, we only allowed more time to perform. They only respond to threats to go public with their poor performance.

There are two issues.
1. They damaged my equipment.
2. They did not complete work as agreed to by the contract.
Issue # 1.
I shipped to InventureX *** worth of equipment for them to photograph to use in marketing material that they were creating for my crowdfunding project.
When they shipped the equipment back to me they did not use any packaging inside the box and everything got damaged. So I am asking them to pay for the damaged equipment the amount of ***

Issue # 2.
Per contract item # 3:
"Warranties. InventureX will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide services in accordance with industry standards."

InventureX has not provided me any data to show that they performed their marketing duties inline with industry standards.

There are multiple deliverable items that we agreed to which have not been delivered at this time. This included source files (project files) for all maketing images as well as Kickstarter campaign images and video.

Additionally they agreed to do the work in a shortened time frame and launch the Kickstarter project on September 5th, but they delayed the start 3 times and did not launch until September 17th.

They also promised to revise the video per an email that I have from them and they never did this.

From the beginning all the work that they did was riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. The first sentence on the Kickstarter campaign page has a spelling error. Why would backers want to back something that is so unprofessional.

Customer service is not existent, very difficult reaching them by phone (they are always in a meeting). Also email response times are very poor and the response seldom includes requested information.

Desired Outcome

Since there are two issues I am looking for two resolutions. 1. Payment of *** to cover cost of damaged equipment 2. Delivery of all remaining items that were agreed to and proof that all work was done to industry standards. 3. I will also accept a full refund of the fees *** I a payed to them in lieu of items 1 and 2.

Crowdfund Rescue Response • Dec 17, 2019

The product was shipped back to the customer with the assistance of UPS staff. We cannot control what happens during the course of the shipment but our company is always happy to make special arrangements for fragile items or carry extra insurance at the request of the client. None of these requests were made and this is the first time we ever had any complaints from clients regarding the way we handle 100's of prototypes. Any damage was done during shipment and not while under the care of our team.

Please feel free to email our support team anytime about any other issues you are experiences. You can also schedule a meeting anytime if you are a current client.

Customer Response • Dec 18, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
InventureX know the cost of the items they were shipping was $3500. I should not have to spell out that packaging of the items should have been appropriate for their cost. Also they had guaranteed safekeeping of the items.

For this I will agree to be reibursed for the cost of the repair of the items instead of their full price. The cost of repair is $931.22

The breakdown is as follows:
2 x BOSC cases = 211.88 x 2 = $423.76 - see attached quote
1 x PecanPi case = 200.82 x 1 = $200.82 - see attached quote
1 x PecanPi *** = 6.64 x 1 = 6.64
3 x hours of labor = 100 x 3 = $300

There has also not been that I listed under issue number 2.
