My Name is [redacted], the owner of Meineke Car Care Center #2351 located in Scarborough Maine, I am responding to a complaint made by [redacted] and [redacted] on 11/7/17 on work we did on their 2007 [redacted] on June 22nd 2017, I called and spoke with [redacted] 0n 11/15/17, I...
first apologized for not responding too their complaint in a timely manner. I explained that We use a paperless system with ipads using a program called Autovitals, we take pictures as a part of our digital inspections, (The oil light was on as well the check engine light) when the car was brought in for the work on 6/22/17. I spoke with [redacted] on 11/15/17 8:30 am and he thought that maybe we had not put oil in the car after we had changed the oil pan, The mileage on the car when we did the work was 125870 and when they brought it to us 11/7/17 the mileage was 130582 and the car engine had an internal knocking noise, I explained that if we had not put oil in the car it could not have been driven that many miles, after I did some research on the same year make and model vehicle I found that they are known to have oil consumption issues as well as engine issues in general, and I reiterated that the oil light was on when the car came in for the work we did and it was off after it was done. I said I I called [redacted] back in response to his complaint about the work we did on 6/22/17. I first apologized for not getting back to him in a timelier manner. [redacted] has spoken with [redacted] on 2 different times between 11/14/17 and 11/15/17 about this as well.
