I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.PS:Dear DrC***,I graciously accept your proposed resolution which involves a full refund for sets of ORION BioColor contacts. I am going to keep it simple by merely stating that I am truly sorry this incident occurred. I will send the pairs of contacts to your office tomorrow via messenger. I never received the 3rd pair. I will call Sandy tomorrow with my credit card details

To whom it may concern, My entire staff and I are very aware of this patients concerns. I have every intention to rectify this situation, althought it is very unfortunate that both myself and my staff have been threatened on several occasions by this individual. As an owner of a professional...

Optometric practice in [redacted] for over 20 years, there are occasional challenging patients we encounter. Our office policy is to always attempt to help the patient as best as possible. The patient had an examination and fitting in our office on 10/*/15 and was charged ( $250),which is our professional fees and is non refundable( as clearly stated in our office )and the patient was made both verbally and has a credit card receipt confirming our policies. All SALES FINAL. - VISIT # (1) -she was interested in colored contact lenses and also wanted clear disposable contact lenses .She was EXAMINED and professionally fit for both clear daily disposable contact lenses. She was given clear daily disposable lenses to wear prior to the custom color order to establish the prescription. After evaluating her clear daily disposables, the patient comfirmed that she was very happy with her comfort and vision using the daily disposable (clear lenses ), was given trial lenses which she used for over 5 days. VISIT #2- patient reassured was comfortable and happy with clear daily disposables and also was dispensed (picked up)1 pair of BLUE colored contact lenses. VISIT#3- patient 1 week later was provided an additional 2nd pair of GREEN colored lenses. VISIT #4-several weeks later the patient came back to our office , was happy enough to order a 3rd pair of colored lenses. There was no problem with comfort or vision at this time, with one set of lenses (GREEN pair) , however there was some concerns with comfort when wearing her 2nd color contact lens pair( BLUE) Color Contacts. We reassured her that we would evaluate the lenses from the manufacturer and provide her a NEW SET of lenses with a different lens material to satisfy her sensitivity. VISIT#4- patient had comfort issues and since Dr. C[redacted] was not in the office , the patient was examined by his associate Dr. K[redacted], was then prescribed medication to aid in the discomfort and advised to discontinue the contacts for a period of time which was to be detemined at a recommended follow up visit (at NO CHARGE ) to the patient. VISIT#5- Patient never showed for her follow up care- advised our office and threatened Dr. C[redacted] that he caused eye discomfort and demanded all her money back. In all my years of providing eye care, I am very embarrassed for this patients actions. I choose to reimburse this patient for all her contact lenses (3) pairs, however the original ( Green) contact lens pair must be returned to our office (certified mail )as we prefer this patient not to return to our office. We need the patient to contact my associate Sandy to provide her credit # in order to provide her credit. After recieiving the lenses back to our office as soon as possible, (need lenses to recieve credit back to [redacted]... within 30days), she will recieve a full refund for the materials only. I feel my time as well as my associate and staff ($250) is deservant for the initial eye care, evaluation of clear disposable lenses, as well as the fitting of colored contacts (which she has on her possession). She chose not to return and seek another second opinion, although a follow up visit and our expertise could have resolved her concerns. She needs to return the lenses for credit, and will then credit her immediately for materials in the amount of $1,650. No threats are needed.... Thank you for understanding.
