Review: I purchased insurance on a loan I got through my credit union from Cuna that would cover the loan payments if I became unemployed.

Well I was laid off on2/13/15 and Cuna does not want to pay my loan after sending the proper documents they requested from me. I feel that I've been robbed and now I need this$294 payment met and they will not pay it to the Greater Alliance Credit union in [redacted].

It's stressful and very disturbing that I'm still paying this insurance premium to them and they will not pay my loan! Please help me and find justice for me

This is robbery.

They should not be able to do this to innocent peopleDesired Settlement: I want them to be responsible and pay my $294 loan payment to greater Alliance credit union in [redacted] since I purchased the insurance premium fron Cuna to cover this loan if I would lose my job since I got laid off ... What they are doing is Fraud !

Review: I was force to leave my job after 18 months. I filed my pay protection plan with Cuna Mutual so that my bills will continue to be paid. The company is notorious for long delays, requisitioning information when they have the proof that I was collecting unemployment. This is there mode of operations to delay paying your benefits. They will request paper work one piece at a time. When you ask them is there is anything else they need you always get no. So, a week go by and you receive a call from the company requesting more proof. I sent the company letters from [redacted]. **, showing that I was receiving unemployment and bank account information but that wasn't enough. I get a call telling me that IU need to get the approval letter showing that I was approve for unemployment when they had all that paper and the original approval letter from [redacted].**. This not the first time I had to fight to get them to pay my benefits. This is a really bad company and I plan to use every social media I can to expose Cuna Mutual. I am going to the local media to tell them that this company doesn't treat [redacted] well at all.Desired Settlement: I have been unemployed since Aug, 8th, 2014. I know the company makes you wait 30 days for benefits to kick in. This Feb, 21st, 2015 and to this date they have not paid one dime towards my accounts.

seven months and counting and this company isn't responsible enough to live up to the contract. They clearly love taking money but do not want to pay out benefits.

Review: March 2015 I obtain a small loan with my credit union while going over rates my banking rep asked if I wanted an optional insurance in case of disability, The only company they used was CUNA MUTTUAL GROUP. In Jun of 2015 I was diagnosed with an illness that required me to leave work while receiving treatment. I promptly called my bank and asked about the claims process for the insurance company. I was told that I would receive something in the mail to fill out and must be returned. When a received the two paged document I went to my doctor's office to have them fill in the information needed and faxed the documents to the number at the bottom of the sheet they provided. I got my fax confirmation of complete and files the paperwork away and waited for notification of payment of my loan. After not receiving the conformation of my monthly loan payment being mad I phoned my credit union and asked for an update they referred me to CUNA. The rep at CUNA was very rude and stated that they never received the claim form and that the agent that was assigned to the claim tried to contact me. I told her I never received a phone call, email or mailing from the company stating that there was any issues. She instructed me that I should have been followed up with them instead of sitting around waiting to hear something. I was floored by her comments. I explained that I had been taking radiation and thought everything was fine since I never had gotten anything stating otherwise. I refaxed the information after getting off the phone with her and contacted my bank to complain. A few days later after not hearing back again I called and a second rep told me that they had not started the claim but insured me that they will move quickly to process the information. The very next day I got an alert via credit monitoring staying I had a 30 day late payment on my credit file for my loan. I immediately pull money out of my TSP account to pay off my loan to stop any further damage to my credit. I called my credit union explained what happened and asked how I should proceed they stated they would put a request in for an investigation. in the mean time I called CUNA MUTUAL about the reported late and was told by their rep they don't report to the credit agencies and their was nothing they could do to help me. She then asked if I wanted to try to process the claim again? I explain that I paid the loan off after their failure to process my claim caused damage to my credit file and with my bank. The reps were not helpful nor did they try to contact my bank to acknowledge that I was not my fault the payment had been made late. I have sent them copies of the paperwork with my doctors information and date that was well before my due date. I also enclosed a copy of the confirmation sheet for the fax I sent. No apology or help was given to ensure this information was removed. I disputed the information as being paid late due to the insurance company with the credit agencies but this information returns back as verified, every time I dispute the information as being paid late due to the insurance company they sent me another claim form. They have been told by me via phone and writing that the loan is paid off and no claim can be filed on a closed account. I still have not ever talked to the actual person who was supposed to be handling the case even though I have left her messages. No one has ever answered my letters for help to resolved this with my bank. The got payment to insure my account if anything was to happen and they did not do their job. I have never had any late payments before this situation with this company nor have I afterwards. I had a clean and clear credit history before they dropped the ball with my claim. They has caused my credit rating to go from good to fair with this late payment. Their customer service was horrible when attempting to find out my claim with rude reps that are not knowledgeable. They treated me poorly when they should have been protecting my account and my credit, and when I complain or dispute they continue to mock me with sending a claim form for an account that has been paid. The too payment for a service they did not provide.Desired Settlement: I want this company to contact my bank to take responsibility for the mistake they made that caused my credit rating to drop. I want them to do what is in their power including writing a letter to have that information to be deleted I want to be refunded for the premiums that was paid to them on my behalf to ensure that the service would be in place is needed. I would like them to address the fact that their reps did not handle my claim well.

When I became disabled CUNA helped me keep my house by making my morage payments. I will recommend CUNA to everyone I know who is buying a home.

Review: In May 2013, I opened a checking account along with an auto loan and personal loan. Normally I take out the life, disability, unemployment payment protection insurance any time I have taken out a car loan. For some reason, when I opened the auto loan with [redacted] they did not add this protection so in February 2014, I had it added to my auto and personal loan with them. In October 2014, I had called into the call center for a different matter, but the guy that was helping me said I could take out a payment protection claim. I lost my job on April 22, 2014. I had been out on an unexpected medical leave from March 3-April 7. The [redacted] employee sent me the form. I filled out the form and attached necessary documentation and sent it in. Someone from CUNA called me about a week or so later and said the claim had been denied due to the fact that I had not been employed for a full 6 months before taking the claim out. The [redacted] representative that I sat down with never mentioned this clause. They just made it sound like it was such a great product and a must have. I did not foresee being out on FMLA for a month nor getting terminated from my job and I never would have taken out the protection knowing this clause existed. I have paid over $600 since February on this service that I can't even use. The disability clause also does not allow for pre-existing conditions. Overall, I feel like Summit misrepresented the product and did not go over the clauses with me, but felt rushed to sign the paperwork and did not get time to thoroughly read over it and ask questions. CUNA also said that they would review my case for a refund and I never heard back from them. Summit says they don't give refunds. In the State of Wisconsin, individuals can lose their work licenses for misrepresentation.Desired Settlement: I would like a total refund of these services that I paid for and was not able to use the benefit and won't be able to in the future. (I have since taken off the protection except for the loss of life, but plan to take that off as I have credit card debt and so I believe the creditors would take possession of the vehicle or place a lien on it in the event that I would unexpectedly die)

Review: When I applied for a car loan and signed my loan papers with my credit union at North Memorial Credit Union, they offered me Loan insurance with CUNA Insurance which I pay extra for on my loan in case I become disabled and can not pay my car loan to secure my car . On January 19th , 2015 I was injured at work (in litigation) and had spine surgery for my injury for this on March 24th, 2015. As soon as I knew I would not be working for a long time period,

I filed a claim with CUNA Insurance to start this process right . This was on or around March 15th. I have sent numerous emails and calls to make sure this process was well on its way. CUNA has still not made a decision as of today to this date if I Qualify under their “terms” and it has been 3 months and now they are repossessing my car . They have had all my medical documentation to determine this, but they still are stalling to give me this coverage.

On May 18th, 2015 I received a notice from my credit union that they are repossessing my car because they have not received payments and they work with CUNA Ins on a daily basis . They have had more than enough time to make a decision, and I feel they are stalling for the repossessing of my car so that they do not need to pay for my past loan payments of over $1400.00. I pay for protection and they are not delivering what I paid for. I have no income at all . It has ruined my credit as well from the length of time they are taking to cover these loan payments. CUNA keeps stating on 6 different occasions they need more documentation of my medical and my doctors office have sent them everything possible 3 months ago and monthly . I am attaching this with my formal complaint on CUNA INS CO. and would like this matter looked into ASAP. CUNA has not sent me any letters, and will not answer my calls, but will always leave a message saying no decision has been made on my claim. They have not sent me any letters via mail . They have asked for everything piece by piece and can not possibly get anything more from my physician , they are dragging this process I believe until my car is reposesses and then they wont need to pay. I appreciate your help with this matter .Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay for the service/Insurance I took out on my car loan for disability coverage . Cover my payments as the policy states

Immediately so the car is not taken away . They seem to have a history of this from what I can see on this site anfd the complaints for same issues . Not operating according or in a timley fashion. No updates on claim status in anway as regulated by law .
