Curadebt referred me to Advocate Tax Solutions (ATS). I saw no value in the recommendations ATS presented regarding the State and IRS.
In summary, the recommendation I received was to maintain the existing
$550 payment with the state (currently arranged)
pay $3,482 per month to the IRS. (That was unrealistic. I only have $1795 remaining after bills are paid. How did they expect me to live?)
Nothing has been negotiated away. I still would owe interest and penalties and the same balance for the state and federal and Curadebt/ATS proposed that my IRS payment increase from $300 to $3,482?
That does not compute in my mind when I have only $1,795 remaining after all of my expenses. How that providing value to the client?
The sales pitch from Mr. [redacted] (**) at CuraDebt:

** -Quite possible, if no reduction and you are unable to pay then it's most likely Currently Non Collectible status - we say to IRS yes he owes it, cannot be collected, here are our client's financials to back this.

** - No problem.

** - Will I get a fresh start?
** - Most definitely! The Analysis includes advice on how to keep the problem from coming back - this is a personalized tax and financial strategy we will carry out for you.
(No evidence of any fresh start. Based on the recommendation, I would be better served getting my $300 IRS arrangement reinstated and keeping my same $550 payment arrangement with the State.)
** - Should I expect full or significant reduction in my balances for the IRS
and State?
** - A strong possibility, however I think the point is more how much you have to pay back - we make sure you only pay back what you absolutely have to, and that in a comfortable payment plan. If yours needs to be $50 per month because that is what you can afford, after a Tax Attorney and a Certified Public Accountant, plus Mr. Little himself, the former IRS Prosecutor I mentioned have looked your numbers over, then that is what it will be or your money back.

** - How long will this process take?
** - 30 to 60 days for the analysis
(It took 90 days for the analysis with unfavorable and unrealistic recommendations)
** - What if you see that my tax bill should be increased vs decreased during

** - That is not going to happen. The computational error and accounting errors on behalf of the IRS/State that the Analysis often uncovers alone will have your balances dropping.

I requested a full refund from Curadebt and ATS but my request was declined.
I went online and called many other debt settlement companies and found that not only was Curadebt the best option for me but also had the best customer service. [redacted] was very informative and very polite. [redacted] has been awesome the entire process and would give him 5 stars anyday! He is GREAT!
