Re: Case #***: *** ***
Mr& Mrs*** called us to have a new patio door installed in their home, including removal of wall area and installing new framing to accommodate a new opening for a new doorThe
customer requested that the installation be scheduled after September 20th, Custom Remodelers, Incmade numerous attempts to schedule installation since September 28th, 2015, leaving several messages with no return calls
On October 19th, 2015, Custom Remodelers, Incspoke with Mrs***, who told us she no longer wanted the patio door because they would be moving and could no longer afford the doorAt this time Custom Remodelers, Incplaced a lien on the property because this is a cash contract and declined on all financing options
On December 7th, 2015, Custom Remodelers, Increceived a lengthy letter from homeowners demanding $off instead of $for work to be taken out of contractCustom Remodelers, Incagreed as long as we could schedule an installCustom Remodelers, Inchas made several attempts to install this custom-made door
Respectfully,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2016/02/01) */
We never told custom Remodelers that we were moving and could not afford the doorWe contacted them to change one part of the contract and they stated that they were not able to make any changes, or cancel any part of the jobI asked what our options were, and they said they would put a lien on my houseI said we no longer wanted to close off one of the doors and didn't know why we couldn't change that partWe were NOT given any options except have ALL the work completed and paid for or a lien to be placed on our houseWe only agreed to have our credit run because the salesmen said it would be a "soft inquiry" and they could get us a "great rate"We had just refinanced our house and obviously could not qualify within days of having that doneAlso, the lengthy letter had nothing to do with "demanding" $off of the contractThe $was the amount that was originally stated for closing off the laundry doorThe letter was a way to contact someone other than the harassing and rude sales manager and resolve this issueThe letter was to the owner of the company, Craig ***He has never once contacted usWe have only heard from the lower people in the officeCRI has lied on every account of their responseI do not believe it is very ethical for a company to give out information on whether or not our credit app was approved or denied
I believe this is a breach of confidentiality to be stating our credit application responseI do not trust that this work would even be done well and I do not trust what we would actually even be getting because they will not give us any specs on the door and have lied and bullied us since the beginningI would like this contract cancelled and my money back

yes the contract was signed on 12/7/if someone was out on 12/15/it was with out my knowledge or approval.(that means know one called) hence the reason for this complaintTHEY NEVER CALLED UNTIL I CALLED THEM ON 12/23/15.As far as my friend that can do it cheaperThat is a fabrication from a statement that I made saying my friend could do this job cheaper but I don't want to wait, and then I stated that you guys age not the cheapestAnd as far as the picking of a date the works for me.If you look back you will see that we already picked that date and they canceled it, AND AGAIN THEY DID NOT CALL BACKAgain I called them and at this point I am doing all the workA PREMIUM PRICE FOR SUBPRIME SERVICEThis is a reoccurring theme with this company,it would seem.I would like my money back thank you!
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2016/01/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Once again I am sure that they would like to set up a time to install. But they were not so eager to stay,or even be in contact with me,until they were called outAnd the whole time the only thing they can say is we have a contract, that allows them the luxury to not stay in contactOr in this case even contact there customersRather they would have there customers do the work for themUNACCEPTABLE
Final Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2016/02/22) */
Let us reiterate this one more timeCustom Remodelers would like to install Mr***'s gutters at a date convenient for himIf Mr*** insists on cancelling his job, that can also be done, however, there will be a 35% cancellation feeWe thank the Revdex.com for there help with this matter

I am rejecting this response because:the contractor offered to remove the wood stove pipe.  They also stated, per the phone conversation that they would remove the pipe and cover the hole at no extra charge.   I spoke with Chad [redacted] regarding this.
