CW Electrical Services Reviews (%countItem)

CW Electrical was contracted by me to preform a diagnostic on an electrical issue that was occurring at my home. They arrived, failed to diagnose the issue, even after I pointed out what I thought the issue was, and instead they recommended completely rewiring a circuit in my home. I declined this service, but still paid them the $169 I had agreed to pay for the diagnostic.

To whom it concerns,We were called by this customer to diagnose an electrical issue which was causing his breaker to trip. We explained our service call fees and schedule. Our service calls are set aside for anyone needing immediate electrical help with in 24 hours. Our fee is $169.99 [$120 first hour labor charge and $49.99 for the vehicle trip charge to cover fuel and maintenance). This is a first hour charge only and we explain each additional following hour is billed at $90 per hour.We sent a tech, who troubleshot the issue. After 1 hour, the tech told the homeowner he could continue at $90 per hour if he wanted him too. The homeowner declined and our tech gave him an estimate to rewire the circuit. Now this homeowner feels we did not perform a service because we could not repair it in the hour. The option was given to him to continue, he declined. The homeowner has also tried to leverage his threat of writing bad reviews all over the internet if we do not refund his money. He has in many different websites. This customer never called to speak to anyone in the office by the way. All of his complaints and threats have been done through website messaging tools, he never called to speak to anyone in the office. I find that odd.I run a good business with very good employees. I am sorry this customer is upset and feels he did not get his monies worth. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction but if you own or operate any business, you understand you cannot please everyone.... or work for free. We will not refund this customer his payment for services rendered, we did nothing wrong or any different than we do for our many other satisfied customers.

I completely disagree with the message that was sent to you by CW Electrical to resolve this matter. I initiated contact to this company by Angie’s List. I was told to call to setup an appointment, I did. I was told over the phone that they could not provide a free estimate because this would be a diagnostic call, so that fee would be $169, as there was no way they could estimate the amount of time that would be necessary to determine the issue - it could take a few moment or could take all day. When the technician arrived, I pointed out 2 different issues that were felt to be a probable cause of the issue. The technician only used a voltage meter to test the first cable that I called attention to, and said no electricity was being pulled by this cable. Of course, the breaker was off, so this shouldn’t have been used to determine the viability of the problem. The second issue was inspected without any disclosure of the findings. After an hour an a half, the tech stated this was most likely due to corrosion on a cable coming into the breaker box. When he indicated he was finished, I said that I was told on the phone this may take all day. He then stated he could pull outlets for $90 an hour, but didn’t think this was necessary. This was not what I was told on the phone, and I declined. I did not call this company back, as I did not want to be without a record of communication, which is why all further communication was done over the Angie’s List site. When I initially contacted the company, they responded quickly, but when I complained about the job not being completed, the responses were not provided in a timely fashion. I then stated I would leave negative reviews if I did not hear back from them. It was not a threat, but a statement of my next actions as a consumer of their services, as I could not get any form of assistance in the manner. The only reason I am willing to close this issue is because CW Electrical did, in fact, provide me with a refund. I consider this matter closed.

Company did not fulfill the contract agreed to. I contacted the company twice with my issue and they stated that they would call me back and never did. The representative from the company told me twice verbally that the BX would be removed from electrical circuit and also it is outlined in the contract.
