On 2-17-17, I found that my garage door opener has stopped working Wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible--Friday evening discovery didn't help Checked the yellow pages and identified company that could perform the service the next day Arranged for install The previous opener had been in use since 1975, so I didn't have much experience with the nuts and bolts Vendor installed new garage door opener and I guess I should have been more discriminating Was not given a user's manual and didn't get any instructions from the installer Didn't use it until Monday AM and found the light didn't work and that I had to bend down to get into the garage Tried to fix this when I got home, but knocked the door off the opener control, (might not have happened if I had a user's manual which would have instructed me how to make the adjustment myself) Contacted the installer who came out and told me that I needed to insert a light bulb Would have been nice to know this before he lef

I called for an appointment for Saturday, the next day between 11AM-1PM
I was told that the techwould call when he was on his way
The DM Garage Door Solutions called about 12:PM Saturday to let me
know that the tech would be about and hour to an hour and a half late
The techs arrived about 2:30PM, which was okI showed them that the door
would not workThe motor just made noiseI was told that I needed a
new motor and it would cost $The tech also said they didn't take
personal checks
I told him that I would would like to think on it and would let them
knowHe said there would be a $service callI said that when I
made the appointment no one mention a service call fee or not accepting
ChecksAlso there was nothing in the ad that mentioned that
I gave him the $in cash and he gave me a receiptI told him that I
was going to lodge a complaintHe told me it was the company's policy
Let me state at this time that the techs were courteous and respectfull
I called the office and complained to the man that answered the phone
He said all businesses charge service calls and do not accept personal
checksI told him that there was no mentioned of it in his ad and that
the person that I made the appointment with should have stated that it
was the policy
I told him that I was going to contect the Revdex.comHe said to go ahead
I ended the call

They also gave them an F rating
There were also complaint of bad service/workmanship

D&M Garage Service Technician replaced our garage door springs in July, Within one day the new springs caused the garage door wheel to breakThe D&M Technician came back to fix that issue which was caused by the Technician's work
Within month cables (one on each side) came off the garage door spindlesSince we no longer trusted D&M Garage Door Speicialists, this time we hired an inspector who notified us that the springs installed by D&M Garage Services in July, were the wrong size and the D&M Technician manipulated the garage door to make it look like they were the correct springsIn manipulating the springs in this way, the Technician caused the door to be a danger since it no longer worked correctly with the safety mechanisms on the garage doorAdditionally, the D&M Technician's manipulations to make the wrong sized springs appear correct causes excessive wear on the garage door's motorThe D&M Technician's use of the wrong spring

I would like to file an official complaint against D&M Garage Doors SolutionsOn 12/6/I had this company come out to my house to repair my garage door ( it would not open completely)Their repair man (Levi M**) installed a torsion spring, T-bar tube, drums and brackets for $About months later (3/13/17), I called DM solutions back and informed him that door was not openingThey send out another repair man who insisted that I needed a new garage door openerI disagreed and ask him to leaveHe wanted to charge me for coming out butI refused him He called his office and he stated I did not need to pay
On 11/16/I had certified Garage Doors LLC come to fix the doorThe repair man informed me that DM Solutions installed the wrong size torsion spring and the was why the door did not completelyThe door was lbs to heavy for the spring DM Solutions installedHe also stated the garage door opener was not a problemI am sending a copy of the invoices from Cer

When we spoke to this customer to set an appointment to fix any problem with our springThey wanted for to pay for the work they got from the other companyWe tried to explain that we can only stand by our work, and that there are a lot of parts to to a garage doorWe can stand by the work we provided and that we can send one of our technician to there house and we can fix our springsAt that time the customer got very upset and stated that we will pay for the other work he received from another companyThat was at that point we were told that they will take back the money they paid for there springwith the help of Revdex.comAgain they gave a chance to stand by our work and we replaced a wheel that had nothing to do with our work for no additional chargeThey signed receipt stating they are happy

I am rejecting this response because: We have spent $to replace springs for our garage door Not to mention the days I had to take off from work to be available including days in which the D&M Garage Door technician did not show up for and did not call to let me know As stated on the letter attached by Precision Door Company, the springs installed by D&M were too strong and caused the wheel to brake and the door to rack After the initial install of the wrong sized springs, I noticed that the garage door did not open high enough The technician from D&M insisted that it was high enough by stating that as long as it is high enough for a car to get in than its OK, but I knew it wasn't, he was trying to trick me I insisted he make the door go all the way up like it had before, he did so by tightening the screw on the Garage Door opener I was happy until the wheel broke the next day The technician came back and fixed the wheel and actually tried to accuse me of doing something to the door to cause the wheel to brake I was reluctantly happy until a couple of weeks later the Garage Door had racked I no longer trusted D&M Door and needed a second opinion We feel that the technician lied to us and manipulated the door to work but in the end only caused a major safety issue as the door would swing violently upwards if not attached to garage opener arm We do not take safety issues lightly as we have a small child and felt concerned about letting another D&M technician back into our home We ended up getting a second opinion from Precision When I mentioned the door not being high enough from the original install, Jim from Precision told me thats because the original installer had put on too tight of a spring and tried to manipulate the door and did not want it to cause issues down the road, but eventually would by ruining the garage door motor We were tricked and lied to by D&M We are willing to go to small claims court if need be No one should have to pay $to fix springs on a garage door.Have some compassion D&M, we are being kind for only asking $ This is a reasonable request If we have to go to court we will be asking for the $plus the $that we spent to fix your poor work We have pictures that document all of the work

On July 15, we received a phone call that Mr***'s that his father gave him our numberHis father is a repeat customer and trusted us for years with his garage doorWe went out to Mr***'s house and replace his springs and before my technician left Mr***'s
house my technician asked Mr*** to check his garage door and it worked smoothlyThen we received a phone call from Mr*** stating there was a problem with his garage doorWe made another appointment and when we got to the ***' house we notice that a wheel was brokenWe replace the wheel for no additional chargeWe stand by our work (we replaced spring the broken wheel is a different issue but we replace for no additional chargeAfter that Mr*** wanted to have his money back but their garage door did not have any problem at that time8-23-We received a phone call from Mr*** stated that he has the wrong springsWhen asked why would he say that? Attach is the first complaint that she. You will notice that it states that we went to her property a few times. So I am not understanding that she stating that we did not stand by our work. Also before we do any work we explain to the customer what our work will contain before we do the work. We son't want to complete a job and have to do it again. We have her signature stating she was satisfy.

I am rejecting this response because: I was never informed that they would be removing the facing from the garage header which I had recently had replaced. I didn't notice initially that I would have to bend down to get in and out of the garage. I had to call them back several times because they never provided me with the user manual, which might have been helpful and would have enabled me to make this adjustment. When they did come out for this, the said that the car could get through. They never told me that I needed to place a light bulb in the opener before they left. They told me that it was adequate to place the sensors on top of the opener. My previous opener had been in service since 1977 and that technology was not in place at that time. Perhaps I should have questioned this, but they are supposedly "experts". They made appointments which they did not keep. I have already paid to have adjustments made to ensure that the garage door is working properly. I have already have had the sensors, essential for safe operations installed where they should be. The replacement of the facing on the garage header is pending. I still expect to be reimbursed. $310.00 for this additional work.

I am rejecting this response because:They told me a second remote was extra money.  I now know from the manufacturer that 2 remotes and a keyless entry which they didn't mention at all come with this model of garage door opener. And yes , even when a company gets the opener from a distributer. I can only assume they removed those items from the box to sell separately!  This opener is already being sold at over 100% mark up over retail price without these added shenanigans.  Yes, I do technically have an appt with them tomorrow.  This is the 4th scheduled appointment with them this week!  After they missed yesterday's appointment window without calling I finally get a call later that day saying "I think we had an appointment with you today But we've been backed up can we reschedule for Friday?  Since they have my money I am no longer priority even though the uninstalled sensors on the door could have crushed my toddler any day this week!  Where is their truth in advertising?  They will "beat any quality and price", no and no unless by beat they meant the lowest service quality and the highest price!  Also, it says in the ad they are Revdex.com accredited when the Revdex.com.org  website says they aren't.   And what happened to my 10% new customer discount also in the yellowbook ad?

We emailed them the receipt.

At the time we finished the install of the garage doors we were asked for a keypad. At that time we showed him our contract and there was nothing on a keypad. We were told to install it with the additional charge. Right after we were done they denied to pay. And started fighting with...

our technician. Verbally.  It had got to so in tensed that we had to tell our technician to leave. After that they called the office and began arguing about this bill. We told them that we can not send no one their because they never paid. We received the call saying we can have the keypad that they don't need it no more and that time they said we need to come out to them again because some thing happened to the garage door. Again as we explain the he cant fight with us and also he has an out standing bill the yelling and and the fighting began again. At that time we told them that we cant send anyone out do to his behavior and everything is on recording.

We have an appointment with this customer for 6-5-15  @9:30.to resolve her issue. We can not give her an extra remote or key pad she agreed to one remote. So we are not giving her $200.00. This complaint is not fair to add on our name.

Review: WE called D&M because our garage door was not working correctly. The door would open, but when we tried close it, it would only go down 1/4 or 3/4 down and go back up. We explained the problem to [redacted], who was the employee that was sent out. After checking out the problem, [redacted] advised us we needed a new motor. We pointed to an area in the chain area, where we thought might be the problem,which we were advised by someone else could be the issue. [redacted] assured us that we needed a new motor and our problem would be resolved. We took [redacted]'s advise, and got the new motor, $350.00 paid on 11/11/2013. The next day we attempt to use the garage, we had the same identical original problem. We have had 2 service calls, [redacted] comes out, the garage door closes. They are suggesting we are operating the remote incorrectly, or have something near the sensors. This is not the problem. We have had an automatic garage door since 1999, and know how to operate a remote and are aware of sensors. When we open the door and it doesn't go down. My husband has to stay outside about an hour and try again, and the remote will then work, and close the door. This is a inconvience. If there was another issue, [redacted] should not have installed a new motor, which does not look new and we told them that. He took the old motor, so I don't know if it was bad or not, and we are still having the original issue. Sometimes the door comes down and somtimes it doesn't. If we wait about an hour or so it works. [redacted] did not install new wires. he just spliced them together with the ones to the previous motor. Right now, my husband and I are so disappointed with this job. We are scared to open the garage, because we don't know if we can get it closed. I would like my $$$ refunded or get this problem corrected asap. We have been told , we will be charged a fee , if they have to come back out again, which is unfair. The original problem was never corrected.Desired Settlement: Refund or come out and fix original problem. No Charge.

We have been out to there property 2 time in the last month free of charge. Both times there are no problem. The last time we made a appointment for a lead to check when he gets there again no problem we informed the customer if and one or and thing get in the way of the sensors then it will send the door back up thinking something is in it's way. We don't mind to come out to repair anything but we can not keep coming out for nothing.

I am rejecting this response because: First of all to correct D&M, the lead never came out to my house. My husband waited all afternoon outside, because there are items we do not want to be stolen from the gargage ,since the door would not close, after I removed my car to leave. He finally cancelled the appointment. I was called by the technician and advised we would be the next customer. The techinician advised me, he would be there in an 1/2 hour. At the time of the call, I did not know , my husband had already called to cancel. So no one came out on Friday, 11/22/2013. We are not satisfied, because the original problem is not corrected. Again, as I stated, when I filed the complaint, the door worked sometimes and is still only working sometimes. I don't know when it is not going to come dowm. As I stated before, I showed the technician when he came where it looks like something is missing in the chain area. he advised the chain would be tighter when the motor was installed. Again sometimes, when we open the garage and attempt to close it, it wont go all the way down and returns to the open position. That was the original complaint. If the garage is left open for about an hour or so and we try it again it goes down. We still stand with our complaint. The motor we were charged $350.00 did not not correct the original problem.

Sept.15,2014We contact this customer just to follow up as requested. They stated to us after we were out there that they had another company come to check it out. So I asked what did they have to do to resolve your problem. They stated That after we did the adjustments everything is fine.

Review: On 4-23-13 I paid D and M Solutions to install a door buzzer system with a 1 year warranty. They installed the system and shortly thereafter I had issues where the door wasn't latching and then where the door buzzer system was not functioning properly. Also the door system does not buzz. It often fails at letting people in and customers cannot enter the pharmacy without me manually opening the door. I have called the company in excess of 20 times and each time the same phone attendant apologizes and tells me someone will be out to take care of it. Every day I call again and every day no one ever comes. She has told me she would contact the owner and the lead technician, but no one ever calls back or comes.Desired Settlement: I would accept the door system being repaired, replaced, or refunded. I want the company to be responsive to these and future issues and fix things in a timely fashion or just remove the system and issue a refund.
