Review: Company was contracted to install a steel-clad front exterior front-entry door. Company installer:

1) Permanently and very conspicuously damaged: Front door handle area by punching something through from the interior

side to quote - "make the door latch opening area larger." This created a 1.5-2 inch "pucker"around the latch with the paint finish damaged and the steel pushed out.

2) Permanently and conspicuously damaged the interior door handle area with a 2.5 inch scratch, through the powder coat paint down to the bare metal.

3) Permanently and conspicuously damaged the interior face of the door by hammering through the lower door latch assembly from the

exterior side of the door, creating another half-inch dent/pucker on the interior face. This was done, despite the manufacturers' directions to

specifically NOT do this, and despite my wife's requests to "please stop doing that because it was damaging the door even further."

4) Permanently and conspicuously damaged the interior door trim with gouges, dents, chips, marks.

5) Permanently and conspicuously damaged the door frame by repeatedly placing screws in the wrong areas and then removing them - and leaving noticeable screw holes.

6) Permanently and conspicuously damaged the door frame by stripping out a 1 inch area of finished/ painted wood after finally placing the screw correctly.

Installer returned with a steel "plate" offer, in an attempt to conceal the extensive damage that had already been done to the latch area. We declined this "solution" because the plate was quite large, did not match the style, color or functionality of the door handle assembly and would have required additional screws to the exterior door face and would have substantially and significantly detracted from the appearance, value and functionality of the front door. Despite having stopped payment on $350 check, company has been very slow to respond to requests for adjustment.Desired Settlement: Door replacement. The door and door frame in its current condition cannot be fixed or corrected with plates, painting, buffing, or any other short-cut, cheap "quick-fix" solution.

Response:

We sent our technician out to install the front door which was done and he was told it looked nice. At that time the owner (husband) stated he was going to get the siding and for my technician to come back to install it. About a week later our office received a phone call from the husband to make a appointment. We sent him back out with the understanding that he was going to add the sidding that the owner purchased. He was told to stop from his wife. One week later own (wife) call us and was saying how my technician made her feel uncomfortable and also messed her door up. At that time she stated that my technician told her that her husband told him to fix the handle this way, and she stated I told him I don't think my husband wanted it done like that. To drell threw the door and there should be a plate. No plate came in and for the that appointment she even went to get the plates so my technician can finish. But yet still turned him away from finishing. About two weeks later our office then receives a phone call stating my technician damaged their door. We received a returned check. At that time Revdex.com stating not only they took their money back they want $700.00.

Review: I called regarding my garage door that was not working. I told them that I needed someone to come out and they said they could not be there till after 6 pm. A charge of 29 service fee would be credited to the bill. When they came to my house they walked in and told me that it was $120 hour plus, I had a coupon for 25% off. After completion of the repair they billed me for $150 hour plus they would not subtract the $29 fee. I paid by check $134.25. I called the following morning to check the hourly rate, not telling her who I was and she said 80$ and there was a 29 service fee that would be deducted. When I told her who I was and what happened she then told me that it was a higher rate for after 6 and the service fee was not deducted. I had a friend call and he was told that there was no change to the hourly rate after 6pm and the 29 would be deducted.

The person I spoke to was terribly rude on the phone, I asked her if they would adjust the bill and and said that she did not care what I did, even contacting Revdex.com and that they did not need my business. I feel very uncomfortable with this company and feel they took advantage of me beacuse I am a senior female who lives alone.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the extra charge of the hourly rate and the $29 service fee.

To Whom this may concern:

Review: I am having a garage door put in by this business. The first problem started on Saturday 10/19/2013 they were to come and put the door in.I was called that morning saying they would be there at 10:30am no one showed up until noon. The installer took measurements for new wood for the frame and told me he would be back in an hour.At 3:30 that afternoon I called and was told there was a problem they were not coming back.I told them I had taken a day off from work to have this done and this appointment was set up at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance.I told them I wanted an installer at my address at 10am on Sunday morning and was told that would happen. At 11am Sunday morning no one showed up and I had to call them again to see what the problem was.I was told the installer was sent to another job at that time I warned them I was cancelling my door and wanted my money back a deposit of 480.00 dollars. They called back in 5 min and said the installer was on his way he showed up at 12:10pm Sunday afternoon. He said it was not his fault about what happened. He started to install the door at about 3 to 3:30pm Sunday afternoon 10/20/2013 the installer told me he did not have the needed bit to drill the hole in the door to install the door lock and that he and the installer that was going to do the capping on the door would have to retune on Monday 10/21/2013.I received a call from a [redacted] saying they were very sorry about the mix up on Saturday and that she would handle the problem. After the installer left on Sunday I had another call from [redacted] the they would be back on Monday 10/21/2013 to finish the job she asked me what would be a good time to come I told her as early as possible and she responded with between 8am and 10am I told her that would be fine.At 11:15am on Monday 10/21/2013 no one had shown up and I called and was told they would be here around 4 or 5pm today.I had told [redacted] on Sunday I leave for work at 2:30pm and also told the woman I spoke with at 11:15am.The woman I spoke with told me she would make a call and get back to me I am just worried that I still have a door with no lock on it.This has been 3 days now and I am still getting the run around.Desired Settlement: There service is very unprofessional I have a person across from me who wants a door also I will tell him do not hire these people they are not reliable.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:This business is so fake. They did not finish the work on the door at all they left on Sunday 10/19/2013 with the job un-finished.No door lock no capping, nuts and bolts not tightened. The door rubbing on inside pipes in the garage and also the door rubbing on the rails because they were installed to high. They sent someone to do the capping on Monday 10/20/2013 after I called and spoke to [redacted] and told them I was leaving for work at 2:30pm not to send anyone I wanted to be there to see the work being done.As I wrote in the last response the sent this person after I had left,at 6:40pm my wife called me at work to tell me someone was capping the door. When I arrived home that night I inspected the capping and it was totally done wrong. The header bend was leaning towards the house which means when it rains the water will lay against the house and sooner or later leak into the garage. The last contact I had with this company was Monday 10/20/2013 and did not get a call until Wednesday 10/22/2013 at 8:30am that they were there to finish the door which I had had done the day before because I was left with an unsafe door with no way to lock it for 3 day waiting for them to return. As far as the tect who did the work he was sent to me by another compamy I had call [redacted] they assigned this tect to me.What ever happen with D&M and this tect has nothing to do with the fact that they did not provide the quilty of work that they said they would. Also the signed paper they have is the one I signed when they came out to re-measure the door to be sure the right one was ordered.I signed nothing on Sunday 10/19/2013 that I approved that all work was complete.I think someone really needs to look into this company.I also have a stone person coming to repair around the door where all the cement was knocked out when removing the old frame.I have hole in the corners that I can put my fist thru. This is also another added cost of repairing there sub par work.So far I have spent 325.00 on the repairs to the door another 175.00 to redo the capping,do not have the price for the cement work yet but will next week.I have all pictures of this company bad workmanship and pictures of the finished work do by the other companies who came out to finish what was not done by D&M.Regards,[redacted]
