Cancellation laws are set by the state and not by the warranty company. The cancellation law in Virginia states that in order to cancel your policy, the vehicle must be stolen, repossessed or a total loss. We cannot cancel a contract because the customer decides to get rid of the

Mr *** has a month Powertrain coverage. Diamond Warranty offers stated component coverages, which means we will cover what is listed under the contract that is purchased. If it is not listed, it is not covered. If it is listed under a coverage that has not been selected it is
not covered. The parts that were called in for failure are not internally lubricated as he suggested. The Cylinder Head gasket is a covered component only under the Security Plus coverage. The injectors would only be covered under the Enhanced coverage. The Engine Cooler is not listed as a covered component under any coverage. The Fuel pressure unit is also listed under the Security Plus coverage. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you!
Diamond Warranty will be issuing a pro rated refund back to the dealership and the dealership will forward a check to *** ***. Being that we receive payments from the dealer and not the consumer directly, we refund the entity that pays us
Diamond Warranty has been waiting for the shop to tear down the transmission to the point of failure so the inspector can do their report. We spoke with the shop this morning and they advised the tear down would be completed today. The maximum payout for this transmission will be $
providing that it is a covered repair less the customer's deductible of $which would be a total payout of $due to the type of contract that was purchased. If the customer does not want this done, we would be happy to cancel and refund his contract
The claim was opened up for a list of reasons, many of which are not covered. Diamond Warranty contracts are stated component contracts which means, if it is not listed, it is not covered. The items that were called in that are not listed on the contract are: Condensation Range Sensor,
Suspension Air Bag, Alternator Bracket Gasket, Rear Sway Bar Bushings, Oil Cooler Bracket. The shop also advised that the Thrust Arm Bushings failed and we covered that because it is listed on the contract. If you feel that any of the repairs were called in were erroneous, the shop can call us back with any corrections, but as it stands now, we can only pay for what is covered under our contract

As stated on the contract, unless the cancellation is requested within the first days, the vehicle must be repossessed, stolen or totalled in order to cancel this agreement. I apologize if the customer could not get in touch with anyone, but the office and phone lines are open from 8:to
5:Mon-Fri. The customer called here and spoke with Denise, who advised the customer the same thing I am advising in this response. He advised that he wanted to cancel because he couldn't get in touch with anyone, although he ended up speaking with someone about the cancellation. There are some instances when everyone may be on the phone, but if a message is left, the call gets promptly returned. The customer also indicated that purchased another warranty through someone else for the same vehicle so the customer may be trying to get something back to help defray the cost of his most recent warranty purchase

The failure was caused by the serpentine belt, which is not covered under the contract. The contract also states that if a covered component is damaged by a non covered component, the covered component is not covered either. Our claims manager tried explaining this to the customer but
they didn't want to hear it. Attached is the page of the customer's contract that explains why this is not covered along with the documentation of the inspection report. The applicable statements have been highlighted

Complaint was not satisfactorily resolved and I have since canceled the warranty with Diamond Warranty, leading to this complaintI did receive a refund for a portion of the warranty price, per their own cancellation form this should have been based on a percentage of the unused warranty based on time or miles remainingWhile I believe due to the nature of my original claim this should be 100% reimbursement, the reimbursement of $for a $purchase price is approximately 56%, my calculations based on their own documentation should be greater than 92% of the purchase price at a minimum.Refund the remaining $purchase price

The coverage I have, on the contract I signed, gives a very broad description of what it covers "All internally lubricated parts and components." Every mechanic I've talked to, including the ones at ***, where I brought my truck for diagnosis, say that head gaskets and injectors are internally lubricated parts and/or components
