Our 3rd time relying on David Leroy Plumbing to help us out with homeowner surprises! From beginning to end, all involved, were helpful and patient. We had a very stubborn, clogged kitchen sink. We needed the 75 feet snake over and over! Caleb and Joey were determined and thorough to make sure the clog was 100% clear, leaving only when the water was powerfully sucked down the drain several times. Both young men were very polite, and represented their business very well with knowledge and courtesy. I love to learn and ask questions! They handled me well:), I learned a lot! These 2 young men thoroughly cared about the job from analyzing the issue to the clean up! Thank you for focusing on the quality of the job, along with having respectful communication. 5 star job!
We highly David Leroy Plumbing! The whole team is polite, courteous, and friendly. They did service work for our son-in-law and completely fitted our in-law-suite with every plumbing need. They did a fabulous job in a very timely manner and with a very reasonable price. We can not express what nice people they are to work with, and what a professional job they completed- carefully cleaning up as the job was completed.

Hi, a great job as always. Aside from the fact that we got 2 defective water heaters -- which was not your problem or fault -- the speed and efficiency of getting the replacement up and running was a terrific job. One day after I called in the problem, the replacement was up and riunning.

As always, Shelly was very friendly and helpful and got us taken care of in short order. She is always very pleasant and a pleasure to work with. Andy is just as positive and the type of person you can like and trust immediately. He is very skilled and knows how to solve and fix plumbing problems quickly and accurately. We have used several plumbing companies over the years and are very happy with David L and will continue to use them for any plumbing problems in the years to come.
Work was being done by signed contract between ***, and David & Leroy Plumbing last week for bathroom remodeling. I am the "buyer" who pays the home owner insurance. We are in a Installment Land agreement contract, and I pay the insurance, but it is in "seller" name, until final payment and transfer of deed. *** signed the contract I believe last Thursday. Today *** contacted Mr. Leroy via email and had the work being done stopped and in the email she told him that "I", *** was picking up the remaining expense, which was 100% false! She apparently was allowed to get out of contract, stop work. Our toilet is on the front porch, was working prior to this contract. Our sink/tub thrown out and new tub and sink were part of the contract that was signed/agreed to. We had a working tub. Now we cannot use that bathroom. Also new floor was being put in, so even more of issue, as crumbs things were falling in kitchen when workers were there before they were halted. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. There is a 3 day get out of contract clause and contract was signed last week. A day and half of work was already done, and now we are out sink, working tub/toilet! I had surgery Fri, and have medical issues. I go to the bathroom very frequently at night. I have handicap children, etc. This is not right! I don't deserve this to have occurred especially when things are far worse then when this contract was signed and agreed to!
The contract to remodel the bathroom at the building where you live was between David LeRoy Plumbing Inc. and *** the owner as you have already stated. Your name does not appear anywhere on the contract.
*** contacted me in writing and stated she wanted us to stop work, it was a decision that she made, not us. I made the choice to satisfy her wishes because she was also willing to pay us for all labor and material up to that point. That was a fair point for us to exit the situation amicably and without losses. Had I decided to continue working regardless of her wishes I would have likely not have been paid and would also had major attorney fees plus I might have been breaking a law by entering her building without her permission.
*** and I both agreed to cancel the work and the contract. If both parties involved agree then you as a third party cannot make us do anything different. I sympathize with your situation and suggest that you hire an attorney and seek their council in what rights you have.
You state you are not a tenant and I am not an attorney so I cannot say what rights you may or may not have.

I am rejecting this response because: Only on the grounds, that YES, I am considered the "OWNER" of the house, NOT ***, *** is like the bank, per our land installment agreement, and is named until deed transfer which will be soon, but per contract it is I. Also: Yes, she emailed in writing what her wishes were, but as you, the owner told me on the phone, she stated in that written request, that I, was going to be responsible for the remaining amount, which you then called me back later that afternoon stating that was $7370, and I informed you that I was NOT and that was NOT what was agreed and told by ***. Your staff could have brought and put the toilet back at the least before they scurried off, which our toilet is STILL where they left it on the front porch! It was a working toilet. We had a working sink, which got thrown away, and a working tub!
I can understand the contract was signed by her, but I didn't need to be lied on, insulted or the basics we HAD in the bathroom that were working be now inoperable or the toilet not even taken back and put back and left on the porch! I did NOTHING to deserve that. I also did not need to get insulted when I got the 2nd call from you and you implied when I had no idea how this all works since SHE did make the agreement with you, that you do a set down, then all due on completion, and you then insulted me and said you would require an additional down for ME...yet, I was not the one that signed a contract with YOU and broke it! That was not necessary to insult ME because of what SHE did also!

Call was answered promptly and technician came the next day and on time. Caleb was very pleasant and job was done professionally. Will request him for any future jobs.
Two outside faucets were leaking, one was unusable and the other a wet wall disaster. The technician, Paul, repaired both with in 3 hours. The charge was reasonable and we are very happy.

The staff with David L are professional and courteous. I especially appreciate both receptionists that work for this company. However, on four occasions I have been disappointed by the service.
Once I was charged nearly $100 to replace a rubber ring in the toilet tank. I should have asked my general handyman to take a look first. He said it would have cost him less than $20 and taken about 15 minutes to fix.
Last summer when they came out to tune up and inspect the air conditioner (we had not had a problem with it, just wanted them to clean it and check it out), they refused to look in the attic because I did not have planks installed. So, I had planks installed and they went up. Came down and said the system is old and I need an entirely new system because one of the fluids is leaking. They discouraged me from considering a repair of the leaky part, only a replacement of the entire system to the tune of approximately $8,000. I did nothing, the a/c works great!
Most recently, I had a leaky tub. The evaluator said my hardware is cheap and old and he would not consider trying to find a cartridge to fix it because it would be a difficult task. He said it would cost $1800 to replace the hardware and they would do their best to not break any of the tiles doing the work. So, I called ***. Del fixed my tub with a cartridge he found in his truck and saved me $1700. Leak repaired.
Joanna, we strive to keep our prices as low as possible however plumbers and HVAC Technicians that are any good are getting harder and harder to find. Our people get Vacation time, Health Insurance, Retirement accounts, ongoing training and clean well stocked vehicles. These plus many other costs of doing business drive our labor rates up the same as any other business.
The air conditioning repair options always included doing nothing, I hope you did not feel pressured. Our goal while doing a tune-up is simply to make the equipment work as well as possible and have it be efficient and reliable. We found the Evaporator coil leaking which is a major repair but we are willing to repair it for you if you choose. Please call me directly for that quote, David L. The coil leak if left go will likely cause the system not to cool well on a hot summer day which we have not had since the tune-up so its performance has not really been tested yet. When the refrigerant all leaks out of the system the compressor will likely fail as well causing you to need two major repairs, however there is no way of knowing how large or small the leak is so we don't know how much time until you will notice a problem. If you choose to do nothing we respect that and will keep our fingers crossed for you.
I am glad you got your faucet fixed, we will not repair faucets that are so old that we cannot stand behind the repairs. Please consider that just because repairs were done cheaply by a handyman doesn't mean they will last.
We sincerely appreciate your business and please consider because we are licensed qualified and insured plumbers maybe consider us for the more complex projects beyond the ability of the handyman. Respectfully, David L.

I had an issue with the float in my sump pump not shutting off. Made the call to David L Plumbing. They were out within 45 minutes and put in a new sump pump very quickly the same day. Their rates for a Sunday were reasonable. Kurt A. was very courteous, polite, respectful and did not mind answering all of my questions. I am having them come back in the spring to reroute my sump pump drainage system. I highly recommend Kurt A. and David L Plumbing. Plus, they are local to me and I am a big supporter of local businesses.

They took a job that they had no idea how to fix. I have a mini split a/c and heat. They could not fix the leak after I told them that there was a leak. The tech they sent had no idea how to fix the issue and told us that another tech will come out to fix it. The next day the same tech came back. They charged us almost 1500 dollars and they didn’t fix the problem.
We quoted one repair and made that repair successfully. The customer stopped payment on the check for the repairs before we could even deposit the check. Additional problems were discovered with the HVAC System and she wanted us to fix them at no charge, we refused and she refused to pay us for the first repair. We did not install the system, it is an internet only Brand and customer did not have the manuals we needed to reference to continue troubleshooting, also manuals are not available online as far as we could tell. We called the manufacturer and they offered no tech support and no parts are available for the system. We filed a Civil Complaint at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, York County, Magisterial District Judge 19-3-09, Honorable ***, Lewisberry Pa. *** against *** for for restitution in the amount of $1,221.96. (Docket No: ***) Judgement was awarded and *** is to pay us the amount of $747.68.
In response to her claim that we had no idea how to fix; we have never worked on that manufacturers equipment before and needed the manuals to reference some equipment operation parameters in order to continue troubleshooting. Those manuals were never made availableto us.

They acept that they have to much work and they send to do the work the same person they he said he never work in that sistem an is not fear only two days the sistem don’t work anymore . They never ask for the manual before take the job they take job that they can’t do they accepted that the reason why I don’t have to paid all the amount

David arrived on time. Explained what his checkup would involve, He explained each step and and apprised me of the results his checking each part of the unit, furnace, condenser and evaporator, He was courteous to me(and my dog) I definitely will renew my maintenance agreement.
David Leroy Plumbing responded to my problem (faulty water pressure relief valve) swiftly, and resolved my problem in the same day. I was impressed with their response and professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone.
