He paid with a *** on 3/5. Yes, we had told him several times he could subtract the disputed amount just to put it to rest, but he always asked for something else and kept it going over a year. We more than likely could have gotten to entire amount, but sometimes it just ain’t worth it. ***

This customer at every turn has found a reason not to pay and to date, has not paid. We did do the ductwork that he needed and agreed upon, but rather than cut two more holes in his house, we enlarged some other vents to make up for it. Our mistake was not getting his approval in writing, but it is what it is. We agreed to allow him to deduct the $previously mentioned and he still didn't pay. This work was done in late March and I have attached a checklist signed and dated by the customer showing the problem was corrected with the new duct work. The form is dated April 1, 2014. The customer still refused to pay because he wanted to see the system tested in heating, which we did in January of this year, before he paid and he still did not pay. The technician in January did experiment with the fan settings to see which one offered the best performance, but the fan was left on the factory default setting because it offered the best performance. For a long time we assumed this customer was dealing in good faith and would pay for the work, but we are at wits end dealing with this. It has been a year and we have did everything asked of us. Hopefully, he is sincere in his statement that he is going to finally pay because we have waited a long time

We did install a heat pump for this customer and when the overall system efficiency was tested, it wasn't up to standards, so *** *** went back out and explained the need for duct work. We then performed a duct renovation at the agreed upon price of $in early spring of last
year. The system was recently retested and did exceed 90%. During the installation of the duct work, the decision was made to enlarge a couple of runs rather than install two new runs and the customer was told he could deduct $per run from his invoice, but he still hasn't paid. The customer hung up on our office staff as late as yesterday. We think we have did everything agreed upon, but the fact that there is moisture under the home has nothing to do with our system. There were a lot of complaints this past summer into fall about ducts and units under homes sweating, but it was more to do with the amount of moisture in the ground and air from the wetter than season we had. I have attached the three tickets from the three service visits. The first score report shows the lower test result and the second one was done this month to prove the system is operating as it should. We expect payment in the amount of $for the work we performed at this address in the spring of last year

Ms. [redacted] called our office and told us that she had two other companies come out and confirm our diagnosis of a bad compressor, but a fourth one changed the system without checking anything and then called her the next day telling her there was nothing wrong with the system he had taken...

out.  First of all, our technicians stand by their diagnosis and although Ms. [redacted] continues to call our office and demand to speak to different people, she has spoken to Nick D[redacted] and that is our position still.  We are not going to refund any money because the compressor failed on a approximately 20 year old system.  We had serviced the unit for 10 years and strangely enough, she never had a problem until her compressor failed, possibly from storm damage with all the storms we've seen in the area as of late.  Anyway, a broken or cut tstat wire will not trip a high voltage breaker.  Only something grounded or shorted in the system would trip a breaker and in this case, the motor windings in the compressor were shorted to ground as confirmed by our technicians and two other contractors.Bobby

Yes I did pay it, but I had to go down to [redacted] Services to have the office manager type up a correct invoice.  Her explanation was that the computer could not correct the price so it showed I had made a payment which I didn’t.  So I had her hand type a invoice with the corrected price on their letterhead.  It still boggles my mind that it took almost one year to get them to correct the problems and to send me a corrected invoice.  I hope by letting the Revdex.com know how I was treated that other customers won’t go thru what I had to endure.  I appreciate you getting involved and helping with this problem. Thanks,[redacted]

I am rejecting the offer because as of Feb. 12, 2015 I still have not received a corrected invoice.  The work was finally done in January of this year, but why did this take so long?  All [redacted] had to do was fulfill his promises and do what he said he would do.  I do pay my bills once the work is completed, in 2013 I paid almost $5000.00 to [redacted] Services for a heat pump installation once the work was done and done right, it was not my fault that this last work took so long.  But like I said I NEED A CORRECTED BILL for the ductwork.  Once I receive this I will pay, but not until this happens, because nobody in their right mind would pay a bill that the invoice was wrong.  Please do your job that was promised to me in the beginning.

[redacted] Davis is responsible for replacing the broken blower motor and the compressor and should have followed their own work orders. It is not the homeowners' responsibility to diagnose the a/c problem and follow three technicians over three days into the crawl space of our home and direct the replacement of the motor. This is exactly what my husband did. He took off work Monday, July 6, Tuesday, July 7 and Wed., July 8, going into the crawl space with three techs/teams to walk them through the problem. It is their responsibility to fix the problems that they diagnosed. The blower motor replacement should have been done before/at the same [redacted]e of the compressor being replaced.[redacted] Davis has never acknowledged, let alone apologized for [redacted]'s verbal assaults. My husband left a message for [redacted]. I don't have the notes with me, but I believe it is [redacted], not [redacted].

There was no offer for remuneration to me. My contention was that Davis Services wanted me to pay $1887.00 plus $76.00 for a total of $1953.00 for a $3.00 wire (thermostat) that was cut and took the technician from the 4th company to diagnosis and replace 5 minutes.. He did NOT come back or call the next day but saw the problem after he had removed the old system and tried to start the new system. I called Davis Services for a total of 5 times because I could not get a response no one would call me back until finally Nick called and took my information and then said he would call me back the next day. He didn't, so I called again and then on Wednesday @ 7:37 a.m. a very nasty man call and proceeded to talk over me, down to me and said I would not get a dime. I am willing to drop this whole unfortunate occurrence if Davis Services will refund my $76.00 for the very high repair service visit. 1953.00 vs. 3.00?

For the past year, it has always been one more thing and then I will pay from this customer, so we have no real reason to expect he means any different now.  An invoice with the changes has already been mailed and since the back and forth here hasn't accomplished a thing, we respectfully request that this complaint be closed, so our office manager can decide how she is going to pursue this account.

Dear Revdex.com,     Technician was dispatched to check why the indoor unit wasn't running.  Upon arrival, the tech confirmed that indoor unit wasn't running, while the outdoor unit was and on this system, several things have to be checked to verify why the blower wasn't...

running on a system that hasn't been serviced in 8 years.  This is a [redacted] top of the line unit that has circuit boards and modules along with the motor, any of which could be the culprit.  The person making the complaint was not present and can not speak to what was or was not said, but yes, the tech did spend time on the phone checking part prices and availability from [redacted] and also calling to get answers to the numerous questions being asked.  The repair was quoted and declined and the technician collected for the work done and left.  The invoice was emailed to the email provided.  Obviously, we know that some parts are offered on the internet, but we are bound by our dealership agreements and have to order through our distributors.  I am sorry that Ms. [redacted] is unhappy, but things would have went smoother had she been present to deal with the technician, although it would not have changed the end result or the price of the repair.  Ms. [redacted] got what she paid for and now knows what parts are needed to make the repair.BobbyService Manager

Called and told the lady that answered the phone on Wednesday at 3:43 PM that we were refunding the $75.  She didn't say anything that indicated it wasn't the correct number.  I only got the voice mail from yesterday a few minutes ago because it was late yesterday and I wasn't back at...

my desk until a few minutes ago.  Anyway, the $75 is being refunded and they should see a check soon.  The technician actually only worked last Monday and Tuesday and has since went to work for another local company, so we never fully got his side of the story.

There is nothing to gain by continuing the back and forth.  Ms. [redacted] was only charged a service call diagnostic and she paid in full.  There is no reason to refund this money because there is no question we sent two techs out and diagnosed the system.  Apparently, two other technicians from different companies also confirmed the bad compressor by her own account.  As far as we are concerned the matter is settled and we can only wish Ms. [redacted] luck with her new system and her new contractor.Bobby

[redacted]There is still no acknowledgement that Davis runs a business with no communication between departments, has not acknowledged or apologized for [redacted] leaving verbally abusive, threatening voicemails on both our cell phone and home phone, which I would be glad to play for you. Both [redacted] Davis and xxxx Davis ignored our phone calls. It is not the homeowners responsibility to tell Davis what repairs were diagnosed or spend three days our crawl space instructing them what the problem is Davis is still shirking responsibility for this. When the second tech came to our home on July 7, he diagnosed a wire problem, not the broken blower motor, did not look at the original diagnosis.

We only wanted a refund ($75) for the services charged for but not provided for (and we never spoke to anyone Wednesday or we wouldn't have contacted the Revdex.com). We will contact again if we don't receive the refund check. Thank you!

Mr[redacted] has been quoted a price of $294 to make the changes that he is convinced will solve his problem, but has not approved the repairs.  The additional water line was not a part of the original scope of work that was quoted, approved and completed.  When Mr[redacted] is ready to...

schedule the work, all he has to do is call the office and set it up with our plumbing dispatcher, but the quoted price remains firm.    Davis Services/Quality Plumbing

I just had my system inspected by a different company and the system is OK, but they were like me, why did it take almost a year to correct everything?  As far as [redacted] Servicescomments they are ludicrous.  If you knew that the invoice was priced wrong why not send me a corrected one?  I am so frustrated in the fact that [redacted] would say this and promise that and he would send out his "best" people but then nobody shows up.  I understand about the moisture under houses, but my problem is they increased the fan speed in the summer to help with the moisture, but then they slow the fan back down last month in the heat mode.  That was verified by the company I called to check my system.  I am very  disappointed in a way that they had a good customer who paid almost $5000.00 for a new heat pump, and turn around and charge me $2600.00 for the duct work replace which was quoted wrong andalmost a year later the bill is still wrong.  But the last and most important disappointment was I requested a meeting with the owner [redacted] himself, not his son [redacted], to explain my displeasure about his son and everything he promised me he would do but didn't and I requested this meeting on 01/12/2015.  Now almost four weeks later I still haven't gotten to speak with [redacted]. So this tells me they haven't got time for one of their customers, so now it probably wouldn't help to explain it to him.  Reluctantly I will pay my bill once I get a corrected  invoice with the corrected price minus the late charges and minus the 2 vents.  Customers I urge you BUYER BEWARE!  Davis services will promise you the moon to get your business but once their is a problem or if any maintenance has to be done you will be left out in the cold.
Enclosed I am sending the so called contracts,[redacted]

Our dispatchers speak with hundreds of calls each day and each is told $89 plus repairs, so while it's possible one might misspeak, it's unlikely they'd confirm the mistake to a customer after it was pointed out.  We are sorry for any misunderstanding, but it's really a mute point because this customer used one of our gift cards which plainly says it can't be used with any other offer on the front and the back to prevent double dipping, which is normal with most coupons and gift cards.  Again, we are sorry for any misunderstanding, but the price was quoted, approved and paid at the time of service and there is nothing to gain by continued back and forth after the fact.  Davis Services/Quality Plumbing
