Review: I went to DCH Toyota in Wappingers Falls New York to trade in my 2005 Acura TSX. While we were there were told that the appraisal that they were doing was valid for thirty days regardless if we purchased a vehicle or not. The price quoted was 6500.00, we decided to come back later that evening because we wanted our son to come along with us. It was his vehicle being traded in. When we came back later another manager had quoted us a price of 6800.00. Neither time did they give us paperwork on the price quoted we only received papers on a vehicle we were considering buying which listed the quoted price of 6800.00. We decided to wait and check our options around and came to realize that it was a good deal. So we went tonight exactly seven days later and once they realized we were not going to purchase any other vehicles their story changed and now they would not honor their deal. I was told that because we were not buying any vehicles we would not get the price of 6800.00 or 6500.00. When I questioned why they told me that it was seven days and not thirty days as we were previously told and if I did not buy a vehicle we would not get that price. Then we were attacked by the general manager of sales in the parking lot where he yelled at me and my sn saying that if we did not buy a vehicle we would not get that price. H also told us that we were crazy if we thought we would get that price. When I explained that I felt it was false advertising and I would report them to the better business burro he showed me his name badge and told me to make sure I spell his name right at this I am appalled I realize that they are a franchiser and feel that Toyota should know of there dishonesty and how they are ruining the Toyota brand I am also disgusted at how I was treated as a customer I can promise I will not return to buy a Toyota.Desired Settlement: Honor their policy's and not deceive their customers with false advertisements they have pamphlets when you walk in the door guaranteed pricing weather you buy or not and brag about it. This is very deceiving and upsetting when I mentioned to the manager that I was given a price whether I bought or not he said you are not even buying a car from us and you expect this price I said yes that's what I was told and I asked how long is the offer good for I was told 30 days the told me no its seven and I was a liar then I realized they never actually gave me the paper work on them buying my car but on the purchase of cars I may have bought at first I thought it was a mistake but came to realize it was no mistake but purposely done on their part and feel it is my obligation to let customers and Toyota know what kind of business Wappingers toyota is and the harm they are doing to the Toyota name I also since have seen many complaints against this particular toyota dealer on line and the management

Review: DCH Wappings Toyota charged over $340 to diagnose and fix a check engine light. I picked the car up and parked it in my garage. The next time I started the car the check engine light came on again. They expect additional money the fix this problem. I bought this car new from this business and have been a loyal customer over the years. I am disappointed in their stance on this.Desired Settlement: A refund or a complete repair is the desired outcome.

Review: On 08/**/2013 2009Toyota Matrix purchased with Extended Warrenty had spontaneous engine seizure in Scranton PA. Motorworld Toyota and Toyota Certified Vehicle Service refused to replacement making us pay for mechanical inspection andciting "neglect" or our part for failure to provide receipts for oil chagesDesired Settlement: Replacement of engine by DCH toyota, Reimbushment of vehicle inspection $451.99 reimbushment of Hotel, Car rental, and towing charges which Toyota refused to cover citing "Neglect"

Regarding the concern of [redacted], please be advised that I have personally spoken with her husband regarding this matter. Inasmuch as our dealership did not make the decision to deny warranty coverage, nor have we inspected the vehicle, we are making arrangements to have the vehicle towed to our dealership. The vehicle will be towed from the customer’s residence in Poughkeepsie, NY and inspected at no cost. As indicated in [redacted]’s communication, there was a claim by the dealer that previously inspected the vehicle that the vehicle was not properly maintained. Accordingly, I have requested that [redacted] provide us with all receipts for maintenance, specifically those for oil changes, or receipts for the oil and filters purchased to perform the oil changes.

Inspection of the vehicle should occur early next week. Upon completion, we will be in contact with your agency to provide further details.

I am writing you regarding the above referenced complaint. Please be advised that [redacted], our Service Manager has made numerous attempts to contact the [redacted] over the past week to arrange having their vehicle towed to our dealership for inspection. Messages have been left on both of their contact numbers and we have not received a return call.

If we do not hear back from the [redacted]’s by January **, 2014 we will consider this matter closed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I do appreciate [redacted]’ willingness to tow my vehicle to the DCH Toyota of Wappinger’s Falls dealership for inspection, but who is going to pay for towing the vehicle back to my home; I have already spent in excess of $700 to have the vehicle towed from [redacted] PA where the warranty was first denied. What if my claim is again denied by DCH Toyota as it was denied by MotorWorld Toyota in [redacted]???? Again I would have to shoulder the cost of towing my vehicle which was supposed to be covered by manufactures warranty. In my previous letter I mentioned that I was sold an additional warranty which I was lead to believe covered the vehicle more comprehensively, as the salesperson motioned "it's a previously leased car this warranty will make sure you’re covered", which was deceptive. The warranty I was sold for $2000 did not cover the drive train (motor, transmission) it cover things like the radio, and or air conditioning, not the motor train, had I been informed of such I certainly would not have purchased the additional warranty. I’m sorry [redacted] has had to make the effort of having to deal with my situation, but I am an dissatisfied customer, who may have been sold a defective vehicle adding to that the deceptive tactics used by DCH’s sales people in order to increase profits. Also I have not had the anticipated funding at this time to pay for any repairs I anticipate DCH would like to do on the Toyota Matrix they sold me, considering I have had to pay for a new vehicle to replace the inoperable Matrix, so while I appreciate [redacted] assistance in resolving this problem, for him to chose the arbitrary date of “January [redacted]” when I have just received this reply to my complaint on January [redacted] is unfair and resounds the attitude I have been met with by the two Toyota dealerships MotorWorld Toyota in [redacted] PA, and DCH Toyota of Wappinger’s Falls, NY,.
