The guys are First Rate Movers are extremely professional. They were punctual, friendly, and took great care in loading/unloading our belongings. The job was completed for less than their estimated cost, a nice saving for us.

Having had the walls freshly painted only a few days before at our new home, the movers took great care not to scuff them up, which was greatly appreciated. That, along with their positive attitude, made it a pleasure to have them help us. I would greatly recommend them to anyone seeking professionals in the future.

I booked a move from a 2 bedroom apartment (with LOTS of stuff) to a new townhouse with First Rate Movers, and I can honestly say that my experience was absolutely fantastic! The two movers arrived 20 minutes early to prepare the truck and to get an idea of what kind of furniture I had, how many boxes, etc. They were extremely professional and it was completely obvious that they had worked as a team before - they are two exceptionally hard working guys! They emptied the apartment in record time, wrapped all the fragile pieces of furniture with blankets and even provided a wardrobe box for clothing on hangers. They were talking 3 heavy boxes of books at a time, not just one box each load...
After leaving the apartment, they arrived at the townhouse just after I did.
First Rate Movers live up to their name. They are truly first rate. My move couldn't have gone better and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again or to recommend them to others.
We used First Rate Movers to move my mother from her home into a seniors' residence. Matt was very helpful and though he was booked on our designated day, he was able to arrange for some trusted contractors. The move itself went extremely well and in the end it cost a bit less than the estimate. Todd and Zack we're great: very efficient, courteous, friendly, and took very good care of all my mother's things. In other words, true professionals! The furniture was very carefully wrapped and placed in the truck; equal care was taken unloading the truck and unwrapping things. Todd offered great advice on furniture placement and both were very patient and accommodating in trying out various possibilities before we found the right one. They also very kindly helped me bring in a carload of items that would have taken me over an hour... done in a fraction of the time! My mother and I are both very impressed with the reliability and quality of the service this company offers and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
I used the services for a move and received exceptional services! It was within the quote, the contractors were diligent, helpful, courteous, on-time and still smiling during the last hour with two tricky items to manouevre. The three guys were a great team. I would highly recommend them and they get 5 stars because they went that little extra when they couldn't get my couch upstairs and wrapped it up for me to protect it from the outdoors until I could figure out what to do with it. I moved into a tricky place with stairs and weird hallways where they had to really push, pull and lift to get some items moved. Great job!
Old school service! We used First Rate twice. I was a bit sceptical at first because the guy on the phone seemed a bit gruff and the estimate was higher than two or three other companies I had called. But I liked that First Rate was bonded, would cover any damage and all their movers were insured. Both times the movers were on time, polite and very efficient. They wrapped all the main furniture in blankets and obviously knew what they were doing - moving large pieces up and down stairs and around tight corners without a mark. I also like the fact that all the paperwork was done properly and that both times, they came in under the estimate! I hope we never have to move again. But if we do, we will use First Rate Movers.

After being in the military for 22 years, I have done a lot of moving in my life. Things can be very stressful or go wrong during a move. This was not the case with this move. It was one of the best moves I've had by far.
