The ''concrete job" was in two phasesThe poured concrete had no cracks when I observed it in April (Concrete DOES crack and is NOT guaranteed to NOT crack within industry standards) and the "existing" concrete had an "existing" crack that was addressed by usWe CANNOT guarantee, as stated in writing in our signed contract, cracks will NOT reappear, especially with our climate The "gigantic" crack that was approximately 1/8'' wide and 20" long was addressed by us in September when the job was completed, hence, the final payment for completion made by themThe OCT/NOV calls would have never been addressed at that time IF these calls even existed in the first place due to the record cold winter we all experienced I went to the site to speak with [redacted] in AprilI told him it should be about three weeks outWe then ALL had experienced about weeks of rain in that time frame thus putting us behind about weeks(We cannot work rain days but we STILL MUST make up the rain daysI told this to [redacted] on one of his numerous phone callsI also told him that the nature of his repair, (Only the front walk area which was about 2'' in diameter) would be addressed when we were in the area and that a "special trip" for minutes worth of work was un-reasonable and he understood as long as it was done this seasonWe are still in July, we are only mid seasonWe have time to address this As I promised before, it (front walk chip) WILL be addressed this seasonThere will be NO scheduling for this as previously discussed but we WILL caution tape the area as previously discussedIf they wish to not have us back, that is there choice, however, we will not give them $for a small chip or any other issue they perceive as gigantic or the like THANKS **

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and once the work is completed as stated in Al's response, I will find that this resolution is satisfactory to me & will remove any and all reviews and all social media postsSince we have now moved into the house, the garage floor is full of boxes so we cannot schedule this work for at least another week so we will have time to get the floor cleared off againI will expect Al to send me a text message with the details Regards, [redacted] ***

There is a lot of truth in what was said aboveThis job did not go as smoothly as countless other jobs we doHaving said that, there are certainly some viewpoints on this that I absolutely do not agree with.I did send my guys out there on the 8th to address the areas around the perimeter and the areas (or pieces of tape marked them) that they were concerned aboutMy guys did what she asked and left, per instructionsI then had dialogue with Mrs [redacted] as well as with [redacted] stating that we were now complete with our work there I had a pleasant conversation with her but my conversation with [redacted] was less than professional and insulting at a minimumOriginally, he wanted a floor with less top coat on it for a less slippery surface then changed his mindI added more material, at no cost to him as I had to a mistake made by an employee I had who was ultimately fired (non-related) which is all irrelevantThe bottom line is that he now has a floor that is well within industry standards and there is no need to have anything further done to the floor itselfThe owners were there when we came out (wife, as [redacted] left early to go back to his job) and we did what they askedWe have gone above and beyond to try to satisfy themNo partial refund is due

This is very interesting on many levels, however, I will keep it simple. I have multiple ways to prove that there was indeed contact, ideas and examples for the above project. Further, if there were in fact other concrete companies that made comments about me (which I highly doubt and I implore them... to provide ANY proof of this), I would 1.Question their motive and 2. Question their integrity. I personally would NEVER go around talking trash behind some ones back as it seems both petty and desperate to which I am neither and I am also intelligent enough to see through the amateur tactics of such individuals, but I digress...In conclusion, I have a signed contract by them which very specifically spells out the details of this project and the overall structure of this issue. If there are further issues, I would suggest that they ( [redacted] s or their attorney that they threatened me with) contact the B.B.B. and move forward with our agreed upon arbitration process. Baring that, I have no further desire to hear from them as their claims and games are a waste of my time. I Remain, [redacted]

The crack referenced by *** *** ** as "
1/" wide and 20" long that appears by back patio, was NEVER
repaired We made the final payment Sept9, based on completion of
the jobShortly after, the patio crack appeared, thus we contacted *** *** sever**
times in Octand Nov2013, asking that it be repaired, however, he never
returned any of our c**lsI'm not sure what ** is talking about when he states
in his reply “The Oct/Nov calls would have never been addressed at that time IF
these calls even existed in the first place due to the record long winter we
experienced"? The crack appeared month after the
job was completed (Oct 2013), so why wasn't it repaired? We had not
experienced a record cold winter in Oct! As for ** coming to the site in
April, to address the front walk chip, months have now surpassed and he still
hasn't committed to a date/time He doesn't feel this warrants "a
special trip" for minutes of work Once again, he is quick to
brush this off and perhaps when he has some time, he may or may not address the
problem This is not good customer service This company is quick
to collect payment upon completion of work, however they are terrible at
providing good customer service, good follow up for problems that arise!
Once they have your money, you are pretty much out of luck if you run
into any problems with their work! As a consumer, this is completely
unacceptable

Again, I don't know where to begin with these statements and this hostile and obtuse individualI sent her a detailed email, with video, showing her HOW this is done as well as MANY ideas of OPTIONS for herFurther, I made specific sample boards for her specific project using my time, resources and money to do soAlbeit she and I did in fact have a few scheduling conflicts in getting them to her where she did not physically see said sample boards, she did have the opportunity to do so but instead said "I have confidence that you will do a great job" on July 6th with regards to actually doing her floor. With regards to me changing my business name every years, the B.B.Bof all people would know that this is NOT trueThere is another contractor in the Waukesha area that LOVES to tell people this to drum up business for themselvesIf only the people, the customers, the ones spending their dollars, would invest minutes of their valuable time and do their due diligence, they would discover that this is NOT trueFor the record, I DID have another business name when I started almost years ago as a "G.C." but changed it to D.C.S. over a decade ago when I became a full time concrete contractorI have had TWO business names in the past years for the record and the B.B.Bhas them BOTH on file as I have ALWAYS been a member in GREAT standings with themThere is absolutely ZERO proof or evidence to the contraryAs far as "sitting on their money" goesWe are talking about $U.S.DhereMoney that was spent on materials for their samples, money/time that was spent on office time to schedule, money that was spent on actual time to manufacture said samples and now, money/time that was spent to re-schedule this project as they rudely yet thankfully cancelled one week prior to the start of their project and finally money that was spent on a written contract that clearly spells out the terms and conditions in English This $U.S.Dwas NOT spent on my retirement fund as they would leave you to believe I also see that they have no respect or value for the B.B.Bwhich is tragicWhy they ever bothered to contact them in the first place then is beyond meI do find it ironic though that they DID seem to find it appropriate to have people, of which I NEVER did business with, write a testimony on my Facebook pageAlbeit they only found three people to do this as I would assume that the majority of people have a high enough IQ to realize that their is always TWO sides of every story and not jump to conclusions or a bottleFurther, they also had a "friend" call me on my phone and leave an aggressive and posturing message on my answering machine regarding their choicesNot to smart but considering this whole situation, I see it as par for the courseIn summation, again, I find this a waste of my valuable timeI would have thoroughly enjoyed doing this project as it was small yet unique in natureHaving said that and now realizing the mentality of these individuals, I am very thankful and grateful that this project did NOT come to fruition. I Remain,** ***

There are so many disturbing issues with this, I don't even know where to beginI really cant stand working with a customer that makes up such blatant and distorted stories to make themselves feel good about their actionsOur job was completed and paid for with actions concluding the sameThere
were in fact questions regarding the stoop/stair and we did in fact discuss this numerous times togetherFurther, we were scheduled to go there last week but upon receiving this distorted and twisted letter, I opted to back off to collect my thoughts and act accordinglyThe ONLY thing I would even consider looking at is the stoop at this point as all of the rest of these things spoke about are beyond ridiculous

Asking for my deposit back is neither "hostile" nor "obtuse".  The contract says "mid-June" as the completion date.  We never once had a scheduling conflict; it was all on this upstanding business and business professional.  Resorting to calling me names and accusations from this miscreant is telling and proves his inability to perform on any contract presented to me. No samples were presented, nothing of any cost to him.  It is a matter of convenience to walk away with our $430.00, which he claims is too small to worry about. This is fraud.

guarantee, as stated in writing in our signed contract, cracks will NOT reappear, especially with our climate.
The "gigantic" crack that was approximately 1/8'' wide and 20" long was addressed by us in September when the job was completed, hence, the final payment for completion made by them. The OCT/NOV calls would have never been addressed at that time IF these calls even existed in the first place due to the record cold winter we all experienced.
I went to the site to speak with [redacted] in April. I told him it should be about three weeks out. We then ALL had experienced about 2.5 weeks of rain in that time frame thus putting us behind about 5 weeks. (We cannot work rain days but we STILL MUST make up the rain days. I told this to [redacted] on one of his numerous phone calls. I also told him that the nature of his repair, (Only the front walk area which was about 2'' in diameter) would be addressed when we were in the area and that a "special trip" for 30 minutes worth of work was un-reasonable and he understood as long as it was done this season. We are still in July, we are only mid season. We have time to address this.
As I promised before, it (front walk chip) WILL be addressed this season. There will be NO scheduling for this as previously discussed but we WILL caution tape the area as previously discussed. If they wish to not have us back, that is there choice, however, we will not give them $2000.00 for a small chip or any other issue they perceive as gigantic or the like.
THANKS

Review: On 7-20-2015 I hired [redacted] of Decorative Concrete Surfacing, LLC, aka “Bad [redacted] Concrete”, to apply approximately 650 sq ft of an epoxy coating with mica flakes to my garage floor. He told me it would be “bad [redacted] concrete” when done and he couldn’t wait to take photos and show it off on his facebook page. Things did not turn out as planned and it now looks like “Half [redacted] concrete”

On 7-22-2015 they started by sanding, grinding and prepping the floor as necessary. Then they put down a black epoxy base and spread mica flakes into the epoxy base. Once the base dried they came back and vacuumed the excess mica flakes from the floor. The next step is to sand down the sharp edges of all the mica flakes with a swing arm and to cover the flakes with a clear epoxy to seal it all in and to cover any sharp edges.

[redacted] stated one of his guys burned through the surface with the “swing arm” and that it caused unevenness in the coloring of the mica flakes. He said he would come back and put another top coat on it so it all blends together. When he was done it was obvious that the back half of the garage did not match the front half of the garage and you could still see the burn marks in the surface. Al admitted to the problem and stated they would come back and top coat the entire floor to make it right.

On 8-2-2015 they came back and put a new top coat on the entire floor. Then they sanded the mica flakes again and left burn marks throughout the garage again. They also spread the clear coat very unevenly leaving some spots of the floor look dull, other spots looked shiny and some spots are so thick it looks wet like a puddle. They also did not put enough clear around the perimeter of the garage leaving very sharp mica flakes which ended up cutting the bottom of my daughters foot when she walked across it.

At this point I had given up hope that Al had the skill level needed to properly sand and finish this type of floor so I asked him if he could at least come back and take care of the sharp spots in the middle of the floor as well as the entire perimeter. On 9-8-2015 he finally sent out a couple of his guys that stated they had been working for Al for less than a year and were not real familiar with how this floor should have turned out. They also told us that the guys who originally did our floor had been fired. They sanded down some spots with a drywall sanding screen and spread some more clear with a paint brush. They missed several of the sharp areas again.

We asked Al one more time what he can do about this. He told us he wasn’t sure because he had not seen the finished floor since it was redone and that he was not willing to come out and look at the floor because a text we sent him had a nasty undertone to it. The real reason is because he had already been paid the full amount of the job and he was not capable of doing it correctly. He told us that he was experienced in this type of work but after witnessing his incompetence over a period of 6 weeks I doubt they have ever done this type of work before.

I am now in the process of hiring an experienced concrete surfacing company to come out and redo this disaster of a garage floor that [redacted] and his crew installed. I would like a partial refund to pay for the repairs needed to complete this garage floor.Desired Settlement: I would like a partial refund of $750 to pay another company to finish my garage floor properly.

Regards,

I had a very similar experience with this company as the other 2 complaints with this company. The owner very unconcerned with my concerns. Product chipping after one year. I called numerous times...about the job and was promised to have them come out to repair the product and no one came out. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. So disappointed with this product that I am actually spending more money to have the patio totally ripped out and replaced by another company
