Delta refused to refund me for an item never delivered. My husband and I ordered a part from DeltaFaucet.com on [redacted] To date, the part has not been located and when I called Delta, they said they can not issue a refund for the part and shipping. We had to have someone else come in and provide a part and fix the faucet as it never arrived. So I paid for the part that never arrived and paid again for another part that actually fixed it. This is why I do not want another part shipped but a refund for the part that never was sent.Desired SettlementTotal of order $12.49.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]-Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@deltafaucet.comDear Ms. [redacted], Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company regarding your parts issue. Hello:This is a record of the email thread with Delta in regards to the defective product. Delta did acknowledge the product was defective and authorized a replacement shower after I submitted photos of the damage. I picked up the replacement at [redacted] and had it installed since there was water damage due to the crack (which I repaired with putty to offset any further damage). The cost for labor was $2000 and the additional tile work will be $200. The replacement shower width differs by approx. 3". This will incur additional expense as well as the expense of tearing out the old shower and installing the new. Delta claims that they are not responsible for labor reimbursement and are using the excuse that I have not provided photos of damage since they claim the crack is covered with putty. Photos were submitted back in July 2015 at their request which I provided, otherwise they would not have provided a replacement. Resolution: I would ask that Delta consider the expense of replacing a defective product. It is unjust that the consumer must pay for installation and repair of a product that caused the problem in the first place. They should at the very least accept some liability for labor and repair work. I would say at least 1/2 of the labor expense. lifetime warranty not granted. when I contacted the company they only sent parts.I recently contacted the company about the lifetime warranty guarantee that they offer on their products. I was told that I could clean off the parts and try to stop it from leaking. then I was sent parts after I already told them cleaning the other parts didn't work. I am really tired of going back and forth and my sink has been dripping now for weeks.Desired SettlementI either want another full faucet or a credit for the one I purchased not parts I didn't buy it in parts so I don't want parts in place of it. my water has been dripping which after awhile I will notice on my water bill so I want this resolved immediately.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@deltafaucet.comDear Ms. [redacted],Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company regarding your bathroom faucet. Missing parts from package making me wait 7 to 10 business days for a new part leaving me with no kitchen due to their error.I purchased a Delta faucet from [redacted] in [redacted] and it was the last one of that model they had in the store. My plumber came out to install it, got halfway through the install when he realized there were 3 parts missing from the package. I called Delta to get replacement parts expecting that they'd overnight them to me as it is their error and that error leaves me in a worse situation than I was in prior to purchasing their product. Instead, I was met with rude customer service people who tell me that I have to wait 7 to 10 business days for the new parts to be shipped 'standard' delivery. I spoke with a supervisor who also would not offer any better resolution and she was extremely rude to me. I told her I have no kitchen due to their error and she said it doesn't matter and they can not and will not put a rush on my delivery even though the mistake is theirs. She even told me they are replacing the parts as a 'courtesy'. How is it a courtesy for the manufacturer to supply all the parts that are supposed to be in the package? I tried to get to the supervisor's manager but she refused that. For a company with a good reputation I expected to receive decent customer service and to have parts overnighted to me since it was not my error in any way. I guess decent service is not considered as part of their business model. Instead, the customer is expected to fawn over them for their 'willingness' to replace the missing parts. I've worked in service in the past and I would have lost my job if I'd treated customers the way they treated me on the phone today!I don't know that there is any resolution to this complaint but I think their lack of service should be noted so consumers know what they are getting when dealing with Delta.Thank you,[redacted]Desired SettlementI don't really know that there is a resolution short of getting these parts overnighted to me which they refuse and, by the time this claim is processed is too late anyway. Maybe as a 'courtesy' I'd like some reimbursement for the money I will need to spend purchasing all of my meals outside the home since I do not have a kitchen and cannot cook or wash dishes until I receive these parts. That is an expense I wasn't counting on when I purchased a faucet. So, 3 meals per day for 2 weeks - that is a significant expense if you figure about $10 for breakfast, $20 for lunch and $30 for dinner. In addition, I have to go out of my way to order and pick up all of these meals. IN the meantime, the food I've purchased and cannot cook now will end up tossed in the trash as a result of not having a kitchen. Before, the water was not working well and it was frustrating because it wouldn't stay on, but, at least I could turn it on. Now, I have a faucet that is not connected because the parts required to hook it up were not supplied in the box (although they are listed as included parts and Delta acknowledges they should be in the box). So, $60/day for 2 weeks = $840 for the estimated cost of dining while I am without water due to Delta's error. If they were required to pay that $60/day I'd bet they'd suddenly have a way to overnight the parts!Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted], Sr. Consumer SContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@deltafaucet.comDear Ms. [redacted],Thank you for your follow up to your Facebook posting and Revdex.com contact regarding your [redacted] and Delta Faucet consumer experience.
