We understand that Mr [redacted] is still not satisfied but circumstances were beyond our control

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] The response from Dempsey Energy is convoluted and confusing The deposit requested by Dempsey’s representative on November 22, became an “estimate fee” in ***’s threatening voice mail on the same date The cell phone generated transcript of that message appears below In Dempsey’s November 27, response to Complaint [redacted] the “estimate fee” became a “diagnostic fee Now, in Dempsey’s invoice, it has again become an “estimate fee” Dempsey advertises free estimates on their web site No exclusions or exemptions based on the type or scope of work are mentioned on that site The agent Dempsey used to contact me, [redacted] .com, states that I would receive “free quotes” No exclusions or exemptions based on the type or scope of work are mentioned on that site At no time prior to Dempsey’s representative’s request for a deposit was any fee mentionedMy position is that Dempsey should honor the free services offered by them and their agent Cell phone translation of voice mail received November 22, 2017: "Hi Mr [redacted] and ask us this is [redacted] calling from Dempsey EnergyI'm calling in regards to the $estimate fee that you don't wanna payI did advise you of the estimate fee when I booked the appointment with youIf you could please call me [redacted] at [redacted] and maybe you could let me know I don't wanna pay thatOtherwise I will need to put it in collections and we can go to courtThank youBye bye." Regards, [redacted]

There was a clerical mistake in the office and this account was charged in errorThe error has been found and the card has been refundedWe sincerely apologize for any inconvenience

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] The response from Dempsey makes no sense “Dempsey Energy uses [redacted] leads for customers looking to replace their equipment, Furnace, boiler, A/C system, or hot water tankWe provide free estimates for these customers as they are installations.” In reality, those jobs are removals and installations This was a request through [redacted] for plumbing service, specifically, for installation of a new pressure reduction valve This was not a request for the repair or replacement of an existing valve There was no existing valve There was no mention of a diagnostic fee and I never agreed to pay for an estimate Clearly there was never a meeting of the minds Regards, [redacted]

We at Dempsey Energy provide free estimates to our customers who are looking to replace their heating or cooling equipmentWe will go to their home and confirm the furnace, boiler, or A/C unit size and any modifications necessary to replace the equipment and will provide a proposal quote to
their emailIn regards to service related matters we use a $ diagnostic fee, which allows us the opportunity to arrive at a customers home, observe the equipment, and diagnose the problemWe will then provide the customer with an estimate to complete the repair, and they will then have to choice to proceed with the repair or notMany times customers report what the problem is, such as a leaking relief valve, but sometimes that is a symptom and not the actual causeThe relief valve may be leaking due to an increase in system pressure due to a faulty expansion tank, or automatic feederNot all customers may be aware of this and that is why it is important to see the equipment and visually inspect to make the correct diagnosticIn this case we arrived at Mr*** home and we were going to replace the valve which he was going to provideThe valve was not available and the customer told our plumber that he would have us *** in a couple of weeksOur plumber asked for the $ fee, which he termed as a depositMr*** asked for a paper receipt and he would pay the feeWe have gone paperless and use an *** for all of our invoicing, which can be immediately emailed to our customerMr*** did not want to provide an email, and asked for a paper receiptWe explained we could have the office provide a paper receipt and we would mail this to his homeMr*** replied that when he received the paper invoice, he would be glad to send in his paymentThe paper receipt has been mailed out on Nov24, We are sorry the customer felt he needed to contact the Revdex.com, but we tried to resolve this issue and did our best to accommodate the customer to the best of our ability

Dempsey Energy uses *** leads for customers looking to replace their equipment, Furnace, boiler, A/C system, or hot water tankWe provide free estimates for these customers as they are installationsWe charge a diagnostic fee for service calls, customers having existing equipment that is not presently runningWe will diagnose the problem, provide an estimate for the repair, and if in agreement with the customer make the repair for the price quotedIf the customer refuses the repair we simply collect the diagnostic feeIn the group of *** leads that are provided, we sometimes receive repair leads as opposed to new install leadsWe call each customer to confirm what they are looking for, and any service related call advised the customer of the diagnostic fee prior to scheduling the service callMr*** was scheduled for a service call for $ to replace a water pressure regulating valveThe tech provided an estimate for the replacement of the valve which the customer refused, but then refused to pay the diagnostic fee claiming it was a free estimate, even though upon the initial phone call agreed to the diagnostic charge when scheduling the service callFor this reason we feel the diagnostic should be paid as the tech performed the task at hand

We would like to acknowledge Mr***'s comments and to respond accordingly We have researched his records of oil deliveries and there were no amounts that were ever overcharged to him for the price of his oil Automatic delivery customers get the lowest price at all times Mr
*** was also on a budget plan for his oil in which a signed contract for the budget year was obtained at the beginning of the season When Mr*** originally called with his complaint in February, he was taken off the budget plan months before the end of the budget season as a courtesy and was told that the check for his remaining credit wouldn't go out until the end of the budget season at the end of April Mr*** threatened to continually harass us until he received his check He was told the same thing regarding our policy every time he called We have now issued Mr*** his refund check as the season comes to an end

We regret the unfortunate incident that occurred at your home. You now make mention of items that were not previously disclosed and made aware to us With respect to the damaged caused as compared to the time and parts cost necessary to make the required repair, we will refund a check to you for $

I responded to Mr*** home with *** on June 15, It was a cold and rainy day with outside temps in the 60’sThe outdoor unit was not running and upon inspection the capacitor was open and needed to be replacedOnce the capacitor was replaced the outdoor unit startedI found the
TXV valve out of the holder on the coilI put the bulb back on the line of the coil and used a piece of foam in the attic to insulate and Mr*** provided the electrical tape so I could seal the bulb from the attic tempsIt was low on charge so we added some to the system but was too cold to get any accurate pressure readingsI explained to Mr*** everything we had done and the charges that applied, and informed him we would need to come back at a time when the outdoor temps were in the 80”s. *** responded to Mr*** home on June 23, Upon his inspection he identified the compressor was not pumping on one sideHe advised Mr*** it would be best to replace the outdoor unit and the difference between compressor and a whole new condenser would only be $ 500.00, but that with the complete unit he will have a new warranty on the compressor and all parts of the unitI explained we would not be able to complete this until Thursday June 25, *** said to move the schedule and get this job done for Wednesday June 24, I called DCNE and spoke with *** who shared with me that this particular unit was purchased at the *** store in April of by a contractor from *** *** and was bought with cashI explained I needed a replacement dry unit and would send my driver to pick it upThe driver picked up the unit from DCNE and drove it to Mr*** home and put in the back yardWhen the order was faxed over it was noticed that the wrong unit had been brought to Mr*** homeThe driver was alerted to go pick up the unit which was for an R-410A system and not a dry unit for recharge of R-for Mr*** systemThe distributor had closed before the driver could return the unit for replacementI had *** take the wrong new unit and put it in his vanI had *** at *** at 7am to change out the wrong unit for the right unit and proceed to Mr*** home. At the time *** was at Mr*** home we received a call from Mr*** stating he was not home, and to cancel this jobHe was very upset that he had changed his schedule so we could install the new condenser and were not there at his home at 7amI tried to explain the events that had taken place, and that *** was at his home at that time, but Mr*** stated to cancel the job and promptly hung up his phone. He has since disputed the charge with his credit card company resulting in a fee on our end

While we appreciate the gesture of $75.00, this does not resolve the costs of the damages doneWe have to fix the floor and replace the furniture and booksThe cat stand alone is $before tax; add to that over $in textbooks and paint for the floor and you will find that $does not come close to covering the damagesWe request your reconsideration of the issue taking into account the cost of damages, not simply the time spent cleaning up the mess

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. .
The response from Dempsey Energy is convoluted and confusing.  The deposit requested by Dempsey’s representative on November 22, 2017 became an “estimate fee” in [redacted]’s threatening voice mail on the same date.  The cell phone generated transcript of that message appears below.  In Dempsey’s November 27, 2017 response to Complaint [redacted] the “estimate fee” became a “diagnostic fee.  Now, in Dempsey’s invoice, it has again become an “estimate fee”.  Dempsey advertises free estimates on their web site.  No exclusions or exemptions based on the type or scope of work are mentioned on that site.   The agent Dempsey used to contact me, [redacted].com, states that I would receive “free quotes”.  No exclusions or exemptions based on the type or scope of work are mentioned on that site.   At no time prior to Dempsey’s representative’s request for a deposit was any fee mentioned. My position is that Dempsey should honor the free services offered by them and their agent.  Cell phone translation of voice mail received November 22, 2017: "Hi Mr. [redacted] and ask us this is [redacted] calling from Dempsey Energy. I'm calling in regards to the $99 estimate fee that you don't wanna pay. I did advise you of the estimate fee when I booked the appointment with you. If you could please call me [redacted] at [redacted] and maybe you could let me know I don't wanna pay that. Otherwise I will need to put it in collections and we can go to court. Thank you. Bye bye."
