DeNooyer Chevrolet Inc. Reviews (37)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  DeNooyer is not doing anything to resolve this. This is the worst new car experience I have ever had.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted]

We just currently received this complaint.  Unfortunately I found it in my spam folder.  We have left 4 messages with Ms. [redacted] and have still yet to hear back from her.  We will continue to try to contact her so that we may resolve this issue.

We will replace Mr. [redacted]'s spare tire with a new spare tire.  Mr. [redacted] is able to come in to have these services done.  We told him he was not allowed in the dealership anymore because he was in the showroom being belligerent when we were trying to address his concerns.

We have already refunded Mr. [redacted] for the undercoating product.  The product has been applied and the warranty is still in tact.  We have also swapped out Mr. [redacted]'s wheels with wheels from a brand new vehicle, so he has received brand new wheels that match the originals.  We have...

never been approached on cleaning Mr. [redacted]'s factory exhaust, we will clean the original factory exhaust free of charge.

Received voicemail from business, Steve: We have tried everything to reach out to the customer, we have never seen a any of these issues.  We have asked the customer to stop by and let us view the vehicle and let us see what their claiming we did. At this point you can close the case and if they want to take this further as far as court they can do that.  A blind refund without evidence that we done wrong, is not going to happened.  I spoke with the owners and they say it's not going to happen.  Right at this point their demanding a refund of almost $3000.00 without giving any type of proof of wrong doing and right now it seems like an extortion effort.

I faxed a copy of the estimate to the business on August 28th , but have not received any response.  Still waiting for the business.

We have been in contact with Mr. [redacted] and have decided to offer him a check in the amount of $1500.00 as a gesture of goodwill.  Mr. [redacted] has accepted and received his check this afternoon 1/25/18.

We have spoken to the customer and have promised to pay for 2 wheels.  He is having them installed at Davidson and we will pay the bill.

In regards to [redacted]'s [redacted] purchase, the vehicle in question was a new vehicle.  We registered [redacted]'s [redacted] on an original MSO.  There was some damage done to his vehicle which we were upfront with him about.  [redacted]...

(General Manager) and [redacted] (Body Shop Manager) had a meeting with [redacted] to explain what had happened and agreed to make repairs and also make 2 months worth of car payments for [redacted].    We made the repairs and provided [redacted] with a check for the payments.  We were under the impression that [redacted] was satisfied with everything.  If [redacted] is not happy with the repairs, we will be more than glad to fix the repairs to his liking.  We have already discussed with [redacted] the idea or replacing [redacted]'s [redacted] with a new one and have been denied the request.  In regards to [redacted]'s statement about the Vin # reflecting that it is a short bed, that is in correct.  The Vin # correspondes to a long bed truck, which is what [redacted]'s [redacted] is in fact.
At this point in time, we offer to make any repairs to the body work that was previously done in order to meet [redacted]'s standards.  He may contact me at the dealership to make arrangements to have this done at ###-###-####.

We agree that this is taking way too long to resolve.  We will agree to pay for the $2700 estimate that [redacted] received to have the vehicle repaired.  We agree to pay the bill as long as [redacted] agrees to term his request for a resolve with DMV and signs a letter agreeing that with reciept of payment that all claims will be settled and no future claims will be paid by DeNooyer Chevrolet.

At this point in time we are going to wait to hear back from DMV, which at this point we have not heard anything.

This vehicle was last in our service department on 1/2/15 at 80,842 miles.  We found that the vehicle has a noise from the lower intermediate steering shaft.  [redacted] declined to have that part replaced at the time.
The vehicle does have a special policy coverage from GM for the...

replacement of the upper steering column and/or power steering control module for loss of power steering assist (see attached).  The lower intermediate steering shaft is not a part that is covered under the special policy from GM.
We contacted CapitaLand Motors, the dealership [redacted] brought her vehicle to on 7/16/15 for a second opinion.  Their findings for the steering noise complaint was the need to replace the lower steering intermediate shaft, as was our diagnosis.  They provided the customer with an estimate to repair as well, due to the fact that this part is not covered under warranty (see attached).  As such, with this vehicle being out of warranty, the necessary repairs would be solely the customers responsibility.
We would off to prove a courtesy of 10% off of the parts and labor to replace the intermediate shaft as a courtesy to the customer.
Rick F[redacted] (Service Manager)

We sent DeNooyer the picture's and never had a problem with them seeing the vehicle but they have never contacted us to arrange a appointment. We DO NOT have any confidence in their workmanship or honesty at this point and would not feel comfortable allowing them again to try to make repairs on our vehicle. They were given a estimate for the additional repairs the car will need to correct what they left undone and added to the damage on our vehicle. They have refused to refund the difference for the repairs they have been paid to do and didn't do. We would never do business with them again because of their incompetence and dishonesty they have displayed. We will be taking them to court for a refund for the damages they did NOT repair correctly and the damages they did to our vehicle in the process of trying. Ask Tom and Joel DeNooyer to produce their phone records from there attempt to contact us to view our vehicle, It never happened. We were more than willing to show them the way the returned our vehicle to us after ten days in their body shop.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The representative who contacted me was very professional and apologetic. He explained the situation and was a genuine mistake. My intention was to bring this issue to attention of the business so this does not happen again.

Please find attached a copy of the worksheet Mr. [redacted] signed acknowledging that we would be making $3119.04 in final lease payments for his Ford lease.  Also attached is a copy of the check written to Ford for his payments.  We agreed only to make final lease payments with no mention of...

excess mileage or wear and tear on his lease return.

We have reviewed all of our paperwork again and there is nothing stating that we would pay for any additional charges other than the remaining payments, as signed for by the customer. Also, the customer's jack did come in today and is available for pick up.
