Department of Warranty Services Reviews (30)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response does not acknowledge the unethical business practices described in my complaint (manipulation and self-misrepresentation) or offer to adjust the business' practices in the future.
In response to previous inquiries, I unfortunately no longer have the mailer on which my complaint was based, so I cannot offer a copy of it. If the business were to offer a copy of the mailer which was sent to my address, I could confirm whether it was in fact the one that I received.
Regards,

Review: This company has mailed me 7 warranty extended coverage deadline noticed in the past 3 days

This is a scam. I called the phone number and asked to be removed from the mailing list, some woman was extremely rude and yelled "why would you want to be removed from a mailing list every car needs to have extended coverage?!" I said can you just remove me from the mailing list and she replied "I don't even know what you are talking about! We don't have a mailing list and you need to have extended coverage for the car you just purchased!" I didn't "just purchase" a vehicle, I've owned it since 2012. Then she said "what is the coverage ID number?" And as I took 2 seconds to look she yelled in a very rude tone "what is the number?!" I told her and she said "I'll see what I can do!" And hung up. She was so rude and unprofessional and this has to be a scam. And I would like them to remove me from their mailing list and stop sending me spam mail to my home daily.Desired Settlement: I want no further mailings from this so called business. I want all of my information removed from their "company"

Review: Multiple mailings received from companies stating auto warranty has expired. I have not requested nor have any intention of purchasing anything from these companies. I want these mailings and ALL communication to stop.Desired Settlement: Please stop contacting me!!!!

Regards,

Review: I purchased a new car 3 months ago with full 4 year warranty. Now I keep receiving direct mail from this company that makes it look like I need to call them or email them to get my warranty updated. This is total fraud and it makes it look like they are a representative of Ford - it has the make/model of my car. I did some research and found out that this was fraud, but other people are going to get fooled by this because it is so realistic looking.

It specifically states "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have the vehicle service contract for your [redacted] updated".

This kind of direct marketing with this kind of language (to make it look like they already have a contract with you) should not be allowed.Desired Settlement: I am not sure if anything can be done about this, but maybe others will look this customer up on this site so they will know that this company engages in fraudulent practices.

Review: I bought a new [redacted]. I paid extra for extended warrenty. Now , I get a letter from department of warrenty service say that I need to go through them for warrenty and pay more money. I called 5/19/2016 spoke to Dan , and he said deals hip are not able to give extended warrenties. I am paying extra for my bumper to bumper warrenty. So, what is going on? Someone is scamming me.Desired Settlement: If I am not paying for a warrenty, why was I offer and I signed for a bumper to bumper warrenty. I have the document to prove I am covered.

Business

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business who confirmed that they had spoken with the customer on May 19 and she had been removed from future mailings on May 19. The representative stated that they send out offers for coverage for customers who may not have coverage because they have no way of knowing if a customer has purchased a warranty through the dealership or other 3rd party, so they send it as a marketing offer.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted].

Regards,

Review: Received a letter from this Department of Warranty Services stating that I have not contacted them to have my vehicle service contract updated. Making it sound as if I already have a contract with them. I do not. In fact I still have 18 months warranty on my car. This "business" says that unless I update my contract now there will be a lapse in my warranty coverage. Simply a fraudulent letter.Desired Settlement: I want to file a complaint about the Department of Warranty Services. I want others who rely on the Revdex.com to be aware that this letter/business is fraudulent.

I just received their offer to extend my warranty. I called to ask then to remove my address from their list. The lady asked me why I didn't want to receive offers from them on extending my warranty. I told her it was because I purchased a brand new vehicle and it was less than a month old, I did not need this warranty. She then began to raise her voice and became very rude asking did I want to pay thousands of dollars to repair my car. I then said to her all I want to do is get my address removed please, she said she did but then continued to try and sell me on a warranty. I said thank you for removing my address and to have a wonderful day and hung up.
She was very rude after me stating I didn't need an extended warranty on a car that was less than a month old. I wouldn't buy it from them now after the way she spoke to me.

Review: I have received 8 notices from this company via mail after registering my car for license plates. Every one looks like a legitimate auto warranty notice (the fine print that I needed glasses to read on only one of the notices states that they are not connected with any dealer or manufacturer)..

I should not have to call them or send them a notice to stop harrassing me...

Eight mailings in less than two weeks...Desired Settlement: Nobody else should have to deal with this.

Review: I bought an extended warranty at the time I purchased my vehicle. this company is saying I donot have an extended warranty. They know nothing about it. When I asked them if this was a scam, he kept saying I was breaking up and could not hear me. Why would they not know I had already purchased this?Desired Settlement: this business to be put out of business and to contact no further customers.
