Let me start by confessing that I didn't read the fine print, so lesson learned here. I take responsibility for it. But the fact is, this company's practices are shady at best. I THOUGHT I was ordering a sample of the products. Due to my failure to read the fine print, I didn't realize it was a trial period and that I would be charged a ridiculously high price for these "30-day supply" containers...which Dermasoft's is NOT, unless you're using it on one arm daily. Who does that? It is unbelievable to me that Dermasoft and PureCell products cost $89.95 each for a 30-day supply! Once I saw the charges, I emailed both PureCell and Dermasoft (they seem to be sister companies, and certainly run with the same bad business practices), and was asked to call to "verify account information." The representative for Dermasoft first said she did not see that I sent an email or that they replied, which she ended up proving was completely irrelevant. I explained the situation, and she asked how I was using the product- as in how I was physically applying it. Again, not the point of the call. She threw out a bunch of other information, like be sure to massage it in twice daily, and be sure to use sunscreen when using the product. AGAIN, not the reason for my call. When she got the point, she offered a couple of things, but eventually settled on, "My supervisor has authorized a 35% refund, and I'll cancel your trial and you can keep the product." If you can refund 35%, you can refund 100%. And they cannot accept a return of the product you don't use, so you "get" to keep it either way. So the representative was likely trained to attempt to trick you into believing the whole reason for your discontent is that you're simply using the product incorrectly. She regurgitated a lot of information in an attempt to distract me. Their advertising and marketing terminology leads people to believe they're receiving a sample, and then customers are charged an outrageous amount for not canceling a trial they never even realized they signed up for to begin with. I've learned that nothing is free...or even $4.95. It's best not to get tied up with any companies that run like this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I've attached a summary of the issues with this fake company who are NOT Dermasoft as you'll read. Their name is [redacted] restore but payment is to [redacted] cream, eye serum, revive anti aging, essence healthy skin, & other names as you'll see. They have not made full refunds, only partial and since my 1st complaint, there's been another round of charges, 2 for $93.89 each. I called and spoke with 3 different call center people, 1 said I'd have to call another number to cancel 2nd charge-she refunded $71.21 of the 93.89. When I did, he said she shouldn't have done that-sitting in same room. He refused to refund anything then asked if I was going to file a letter of dispute with my bank, then threatened that he'd make sure I didn't get any refund if I did. Called a third time-more to confirm they were all in close proximity-and the guy said no refund, you were already told. And by the way, everyone I spoke with hung up on me. My last call, I asked again that they confirm everything was cancelled, there would be no further charges & was told yes, it's cancelled. I checked my bank statement 2/13 & there was another charge for $93.89 to eye serum. Called, they said yes, they see it's been cancelled & refunded the amount. I asked again to have the previous $94.95 refunded, refused and hung up on me.You notice there's no name or signature on their letter. And as I wrote originally, once you click on the site, you're basically trapped & products are added. Other women have responded with similar stories on [redacted] and now I don't see their pop up ads any more.
