Buyer Beware!! Nothing about my experience with World Patent Marketing leads me to believe they are anything but a very slick scam that has poured big bucks into web presence and fake reviews. I purchased an "intelligence report" from WPM for $995 that was supposed to have researched the market, current patents etc to provide "intelligence" as to the marketability of my idea. As many have stated, this report came back with a glowing prognosis for my product idea, with several very excited calls from Rick encouraging me to take the next step by purchasing "core services". Being a busy guy, and having seen very few negative reports in about 30 min worth of searching, I bit on the core services with the idea that my idea was unique in the market, and that the "core services" would help me put together a strategy and marketing documents to move to the step of pursuing a license agreement. Instead, after paying the $10,000 for "Core services" I am asked by Janice to answer a bunch of questions that had already been answered in the original disclosure. In the mean time I have notified Rick that I would like to not publish anything until I get a provisional patent filed. In the process of completing the provisional application, I find there is another patent filed a couple years ago that very closely describes my product. Turns out there are only a handful of US patents that are even close, and all patents were found by entering just two main key words from my product description. This patent and all the others were omitted from the "intelligence report" thus leading me to believe that the "core services" was a reasonable next step because there was no applicable prior art. While I think there may be a way to take my idea to market, WPM did not provide accurate research in the initial stage and now a month in has not delivered a single item described in the Core services, except to email me and tell me that as soon as I give permission to publish, they will send me a copy of a press release. Of course I do not want a press release published without first seeing it, and my request to review the document has gone unanswered.

I have requested a full refund of the "core services" fee of $10,000 and have gotten nothing but bullying tactics and redirection from Scott Cooper. When I asked for a referral to one of their "contracted patent attorneys" my request was brushed off by sending me to Jerry, some guy in their manufacturing division. Every request for a referral to company or entity that has profited from interaction with WPM has been unanswered or evaded. I can only conclude that the "success stories" are as fake as the rest of their site.

My experience with World Patent Marketing has exceeded my expectations. The whole team has been a pleasure to work with. It is nice to see one of my ideas that have been brewing in my mind for years to finally take shape and I owe it to World Patent Marketing for helping me get idea out there.

Review: This is a long story, but I want to get out as much information as I possibly can.

I contacted World Patent Marketing via their website showing interest in my patent idea. [redacted], an apparent [redacted], stating they are interested in my idea, immediately contacted me. That evening [redacted] called me and I gave him all of my information. [redacted] explained that he will forward my information and if they were interested he would call me back. I received a call back from him saying he had great news, which they were interested in my idea but it would have to pass step two, to move forward. He said he would get back to me the following day. That Friday, February **, 2015, he called me saying they requested more time, and he would call me on Monday. I received a call from him that Monday evening with even better news. He stated that they are excited for my idea and would like to move forward. He stated that they would do a world Patent search and to pay for the services, I would need to pay $1295.00. Yikes, that was a little tight for us. The following day I received a reduction letter that I would only have to pay $995.00. My husband and I were so excited that something good might actually happen, we decided we will do whatever we have to, to make this work. We live paycheck to paycheck and we have a daughter with [redacted]…money is REALLY tight for us. So, we decided to sell our living room set and use he old couch in our spare room.

That following Friday, February **, 2015, I submitted my paperwork and made my payment on their website, in the amount of $995.00. He called me and said my information will be submitted to their patent attorneys that following Monday morning at 10:00 am. Over the weekend, I just had a bad feeling. Now mind you, I already did a ton of research, I am pretty savvy that way. I found nothing, all good reviews and they are 5 star rated. So I dug deeper. You have to dig really deep to find anything bad about them. Well, I did and I found stories of other people being told the same exact things I was told. Very heartbreaking!!! So, I went with my gut and emailed [redacted] first thing Monday morning, March *, 2015, requesting a Cease and Desist. Because I paid for a service that according to [redacted] would not be submitted to their so-called patent Global lawyers until that morning at 10:00 am, I requested a refund. [redacted] stated he did not know where I was getting my information, but they would in fact process my refund within 7-10 days. This would have been by Tuesday March [redacted]. At that point, I did not receive my refund, so I emailed [redacted]. He stated that according to their accounting department that it was refunded on that Thursday the [redacted] and I needed to allow 7-10 days for my refund. Again, I emailed [redacted] and he stated someone would call me in regard to my refund and he would no longer answer my email. Well today is March **, 2015, no phone call no refund. I have emailed [redacted] two more times and I am now being ignored.

What is so sad to me is legally; they are covered for what they promise. They promise a global search and that is what you pay for. Their terminology covers them, but the sad thing is there is absolutely no proof of actual products getting patented and sold as they claim will (could) happen. Nothing gets past this first phase. I cannot find any valid information, nor [redacted] could not provide me with the requested information of items that have actually gone thru. If he could, we would not be here. It saddens me that they are able to get away with this and its legal. It is absolutely devastating that they can make it look like it is so legit and get such good reviews. Again, it is because they are not lying, yes you pay for a service, but that is where it ends. All hopes and dreams are gone. Also, how in the world people that are in the public eye, give them good ratings. It is a shame. All I asked for was proof and they cannot provide me any. If they are legit, then maybe they should train their employees on giving the correct information. All of their videos are not news videos, they are their own videos, it gets a lot of people with hopes and dreams excited to only be devastated.

Can anyone answer me on how this can happen? How they are able to keep getting away with this and have such good reviews? How to we get companies like this to stop?

All, I want is my refund, in the amount of $995.00 for a service, I requested to end my project search before it started. I also request that all my information I sent, be held confidential. I have a great patent idea and I expect it to be held confidential.

Please feel free to do your research, I am sure you will find that yes, again they are legally ok to say and do what they want by offering a go no where dream.

This company is the best rated invention company out there - so many happy customers - company is realistic - they dont to convince you that your idea will make a $10 million bucks - they manage your expectations and they are very ethical in the way they offer their services - thats what I like about World Patent Marketing - they also have a former US Attorney on their advisory board and work with Harvard researchers

Review: I paid $1295 for what they said patent research, and found out you can search all over to see if their is a patent for free. So for Paul S[redacted] a wonderful kind hearted person when it comes to asking of your health, as to keeping it 100% i'll give him 100% in his line of work. And to fully understand not to get close to the cheating code's, that other company's follow. And a guarantee from success that world patent marketing will lead the industry.

Review: World patent market of Desa corp. continues to call, text and email me regarding patent ideas. I have repeated told them I have no invention. I have asked them to take me off of their call list 4 times now. I have sent text, email and called the person directly to ask them to stop contacting me as I have no idea to share. Review: My complaint is about changing my mind for having WPM help me with the patent of my invention. My decision was based on several reviews (complaints) that I read on the Revdex.com website and their website. The complaints that I read made me realize that I made a big mistake by putting my trust in WPM. I do not feel comfortable enough to continue with this company. I also found out about the other company (DESA Industries Inc) through the Revdex.com website, which led me to believe that WPM was not totally honest with me about the company they are affiliated with. My Project Manager mislead me to believe that I could see my invention on the store shelves within the next 5 to 6 months, and that next Christmas will be a whole lot better for me and my family. Honesty is the best policy. Another thing that raised a red flag was how determined my project manager was, and how he pushed so hard to get my money, even after I told him that my money would not be in the bank until the first of the month. He told me that the offer of a $200.00 discount from the original price ($995.00) would no longer be available if I didn't pay the money before January *, 2016. I told him that I would have to pay the $995.00 because I just didn't have the money. My Project Manager also told me that , "if you do a check it will not be processed until after the New Year Holiday," of course I agreed because he drove a hard bargain I couldn't refuse. After the holiday I checked my account several times to see if the transaction had taken place, but nothing had taken place as of January 4, 2016. Later that week I received a phone call from my Project Manager telling me that "we have a problem, there is a block on your account and we can't get the money." Of course I was concern, I told him that I will call the bank to see what was going on. I called the bank and the associate told me that my account was not blocked, and that they couldn't get any money because my monies wasn't deposited until January [redacted]. I asked her if they could withdraw the money now and she told me yes. Well I continue to check my account, and the money was finally taken out on the [redacted]. I said all of this so you could understand this next statement. I have changed for reasons stated above, and I emailed my Project Manager asking for my money, and pictures that I sent them, but I was told that there is a 3 day grace period for refunds and that has passed. Well I told them that a 3 day grace period was illegal, and that the law states a 7 day grace period is the time frame for a refund. I emailed them on January [redacted] which is 3 days from the [redacted], but I know that I had 7 days to ask for a refund. I have a print out of my bank statement showing that they did not receive any money until that day, far from the date they are telling me that they received my money which is January [redacted]. I have a right to ask for a refund within the time allowed. WPM is refusing to give me my money back. I have a right to change my mind if I have been mislead, and things he told me was Not clear to me. I want my money returned to my account or a check. Review: I really wish that this wasn't the case, I wish that all the promise's they promised came true. But they say

if it sound to good ask for proof, which I did. So I asked Paul S[redacted] the person I spoke to first,

the project manager. The person that did not explain's everything to me, so talking back and forth

me and him about everything at least that is what I thought at first. He promised me, that they are not a promotional company at first, it felt like it, but then they became worst then a promotional company. I believed him, I even gave

them a five star rating, of course, they called me before they transformed in to the worst promotional

company ever, if you are not familiar with the way they operate they call for a five star rating in the fist stage. Where there is no money or actual works involve. That I noticed in the end, a very slick way to get a lot of people, i'm speaking of my self now. Anyway's Paul s[redacted] I still remember telling him, that I went through 4 promotional scam

company's that I found out the hard way, about there scam's, so I made that very clear to him.

Which really I complained with the Revdex.com Directory service, but first I called asked question's demanded

answer's nothing, then I requested a full refund's from the other four promotional company's. Which I got not because

there where nice people, remember an alligator eat's a body and tear at the same time. But because I had proof, Paul wrote 5 answer that I had for him in common since, and they were basically about there steps, and they are

All that we talked about me and Paul and at first he put the world in my right hand and the moon in my

left hand. I believed him, I'm very upset because I felt that I finally this time can actually carry on, my dream will not get scammed or ripped off into piece's. I thought that everything will be as easy as Paul mentioned to me

and that I will be on my way to success. Because FIRST- there company is not in the market to lose, and he said that the(ACUAL PATENT PROTECTION) will cost me 2k- to 12k and that it can be from a low end of 2k to a high

end of 12k. And did not mention that the patent will go as far as the eye can see, to the 30k to even as high as the 100k,will the truth began to appear slowly, -SECOND- I was promised a 3D VIRTUAL never got that I still have the

E-MAIL saved of the spacial promotional offer. REMEMBER they are not a promotional company, THAT is what Paul

and Jay J Wards Senior project manger said. I asked Paul and Paul said talk to Jay my senior project manger to

include the 3D Virtual package in the Global Invention Royalty Analysis, and he said no problem. Okay -

-Analysis- and then when I called Paul he promised he will look into it, then never called me back. FORTH- I was promised that if I was to move forward that the marketing stage will be in the time process of obtaining a patent approval, which would of been if they were to fulfilled there promise to finish my Global Invention Royalty Analysis in time. I would been good to go for the August Marketing Stage, I received a call from Jay a week after August hit

and after he started to go through the Global Invention Royalty Analysis report. After he was all done he said that if you want to move forward that you will have to wait 4 months in tell I can maybe market you invention. Wait that there made me so angry, I through all this time waited patiently from everything at first was great in tell slowly I was dragged to a scam game your playing. I said why wasn't I aware of all this before why are you telling me this after you stood my money, ill call it that now STOLD. Because when you don't MENTION thing's like this in the beginning its called steeling where I'm from. I respectfully demand my hard earned money back a full refund if every thing was right from the beginning. I would of called it an investment, but since everything was in a scandals way. Ill call it my Stolen money back I'm not a mad or angry or bad or dumb person i'm as smart as you guy think you are. I have proof to present that I was scammed or misrepresented or false Advertisement.
