I sent the smoke detector back on March **, 2015 everything still wrapped up and not used. And it was delivered to them and signed by [redacted], [redacted] on March **,2015 at 11:26 a.m. Now, a woman by the name of [redacted] keeps calling me wanting the detector. Review: I received a smoke detector in the mail that I did not order. Once, I realized that I was being charged for the smoke detector/service related to it through this company, I contacted the company to stop collecting for this service. I also returned the smoke detector to the address listed on the website. I have emailed them three times (if not more) to ask them to stop charging my credit card. The only response that I received is that they started charging the card under a different name.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund for the charges that were made after I contacted them and requested that they stop charging my card. They have charged my card for at least three months after I contacted them. I would like to be refunded $44.97 (14.99 x 3 months). If that is not possible, I want them to stop charging my card in the future.

Review: I attempted to return the item thru [redacted], the initial delivery service. I was told I needed to pay for the return or get a return label from the vendor. I made at least 2 calls and left a message each time, since this was the only option I had. The message did say my call would be returned. I specifically stated each time that I wanted a [redacted] return address label and also that I didn't believe I should have to pay the return delivery charge. I never received a return call. Today, I called again, the number identified on my bank listing. This turned out to be a personal line, but the gentleman had a company person take the call.

I asked for a return [redacted] label and a refund of any charges on my bank listing. I was told there were 3 charges and that the $7.95 shipping charge had already been refunded and she could only refund one charge since the product had been activated, even tho I had not opened the package. The young lady said I could return the package by [redacted], but again this was going to be at my expense. I asked why my calls were not returned so I could be given the return package information. If that had been done, I would have been refunded the first monthly $14.99 charge and the second $14.99 charge would not have been made. At some point in the conversation, she stated it was the customer's responsibility for the return. I reminded her I had made the effort to return it. She still said only the 1 of the $14.99 charges would be credited.

I believe both $14.99 charges and whatever it costs me to return it be credited to my account.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Desired Settlement: Since my previous calls when I left exactly what I needed on the messages were never returned, I believe both $14.99 charges and whatever it costs me to return the package be credited to my account.

Review: I ordered a medical alert system and smoke detector for my husband on June **, 2014. I returned the medical alert item and later received a credit but have been unable to get a credit for the smoke detector which I returned on 7-**-14 (never opened and marked refused and returned through [redacted]) because this doctor told me he could not be left alone. I was charged $7.95 for shipping on June ** and $14.99 for the smoke detector on July ** on my US Bank credit card. As of September **, 2014 I had not received credit on my credit card. Called 10-*-14 (they acknowledged receipt of the smoke detector) and was told I had missing the billing cycle, credit was in place and would have to wait until 10/**. Not on my credit card statement of 10/**. On 10/** I called and they promised to send me out a check that day so I would not have to wait for the next billing. On 10/** a man named [redacted] called and said he put a note in the account that said the account was closed in August which caused confusion. No check or credit received. Was told to call back ###-###-#### if check not received by 11/*. No check received or credit has been received on my US Bank credit card statements closing October **, November ** and December **. I have made at least half a dozen calls to their 800 number and gotten the message that all customer service reps are busy and to please leave your name and phone number which I have done plus a brief message. I have only been able to talk to a person twice in October. No one returns my calls despite following their instructions. I can't get the matter resolved if no one will return my call. All I want is my $14.99 back.Desired Settlement: I want my money back for a product I returned in good faith and they acknowledged they received it but will not answer my calls or refund the money by check or to my credit card.

Review: I NOTICED IN APRIL ON MY CHECKING ACCOUNT STATEMENT A DEDUCTION OF $22.94 ON APRIL [redacted] 2014, MAY [redacted] FOR $14.99 AND JUNE [redacted] FOR $14.99FOR A COMPANY CALLED DIRECT CONNECT 911. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THIS WAS FOR.I THEN CALLED MY LOCAL Revdex.com TO HELP ME GET THEIR PHONE #.WHEN I FINALLY SPOKE WITH SOMEONE ABOUT THIS DEDUCTION, I WAS TOLD IT WAS FOR AN INTELLIGENCE SMOKE DETECTOR 911. I THEN REMEMBERED I RECEIVED A SMOKE ALARM THE PREVIOUS MONTH, I JUST PUT IT ASIDE THINKING IT MUST BE A PROMOTIONAL ITEM OR A FREEBIE JUST TO TRY IT.I TOLD THEM I DIDN'T ORDER THIS, I DON'T NEED THIS AND I DON'T WANT IT. I SPOKE WITH A [redacted], HIS NAME WAS [redacted]. Review: Did not order or want the smoke alarm. We sent it back by US postal service. They would not refund shipping changers of 7.95 said they would send a check for the 1st payment we made of 16.32 they out alarm ball from us their check was no good. Chase bank would not cash it.Desired Settlement: flored go down their or out give us good money back 7.95 1632- 24.27 total

Review: somehow this company received my credit card number possible through another company they sent a smoke detector charged 8.95 for shipping and now are charging 14.99 a month for a monthly service fee contacted company several time stating we never authorized this charge nor do we want their product.. they claim we must send smoke detector back to cancel( why do I have to pay for postage on something I never requested) now I'm in disputes with the credit card company will have to cancel credit card in order to lose this monthly charge. Its not the money but have spend hours over the last several months trying to resolve this issue, to no avail fed up with direct 911 and the credit card company ...this has caused a lot of unneeded problemsDesired Settlement: send a postage addressed envelope for your product I never ordered and quit billing my credit card every month for something I never ordered or authorized you to bill me for...its the principal and very annoying better and more important issue to deal with

Review: My father-in-law, [redacted], [redacted], is quite elederly and inadverdently ordered a 911 device. When it arrived we promptly called the company and it was returned. The problem is that the monthly bill of $14.99 has continued to be charged to his credit card. When trying to reach the company to settle the charges the phone goes immediately to a voice mail system and the message says that the the voice mail is full. We have disputed these charges with the credit card company and the amount has been credited to [redacted]'s account. We just got another bill and his credit card has once agin been charged.Desired Settlement: Stop billing for a service that is not being used for equipment that has been returned.

Review: [redacted], [redacted], at phone number ###-###-####, phoned my elderly mother and sold her this service - I'm assuming it is some special smoke alarm. A charge of $7.95 showed up on her [redacted] bill. She never rec'd any special smoke alarm to install and she has no idea if this is a monthly charge or not. I have contacted [redacted] and have halted any further charges to her card. I have had no luck contacting this [redacted]. His mail box is now full, but prior to that I did leave a message asking him to call me, but of course he never did. I would like to see my mother's card credited the $7.95 if possible, but at least he cannot further charge to it.I am not sure if his business is legit, but even if it is, as I stated my mother never rec'd anything from him. Now his mailbox is full so you can't even discuss this matter with him. Is his mailbox full because of other complaints coming in?????Desired Settlement: $7.95 to my mother's [redacted] - if you have any luck reaching him, let me know and I will pass along her account info for the refund!

Review: We are on the registered DO NOT CALL list. The company contacted us . We would like to cancel the contract as we are on the DO NOT CALL list as we have special needs persons living in the home that do not understand the contract they will be entering into. They have been put on notice in writing that we are on the do not call list and have had to repeatedly cancel services. We have also requested in writing to be removed from any mailing lists their company may use. The phone numbers listed on the credit card charge go to a number that does not have a voicemail or anyone to receive requests for cancellation . The company charge listing contains disconnected numbers for the company and it's affiliate [redacted]. If you call these number to cancel the contract, you receive a message that states the number is disconnected. There is no way to contact the company except in writing.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel the contract set up and have them stop billing the charge card number that was provided to them.

Review: I have sent back the smoke detector via certified mail with instructions to cancel it from my account. I have proof that it was received. There is a 800 number that no one ever picks up the phone and you can not leave a message. I have also contacted the vendor twice through email with no response as well.

This is a monthly service plan that I do not want.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund for $14.99 from 8/**. I would also like no future billings from direct connect 911.

Review: I ordered the wireless smoke detector when they called me. I am moving and do not need this item, and I've never been able to get it to work anyway. I'm being charged $14.99 a month for this item, and I've been unable to get in touch with anyone at Direct Connect to cancel the contract. A form was submitted to them a couple of days ago but have not been contacted. I want this monthly charge stopped asap. I'm not certain that if I mail the item back to them they will even take care of it.Desired Settlement: I'd like them to stop billing my debit card and cancel this item. If they need the item back I'd be happy to mail it to them, but want to make sure they process the cancellation.
