Review: This company cold called me and prayed on my age (**). They used high pressure tactics which confused me into giving them by credit card information for a smoke detector I neither want or need!Desired Settlement: I returned the item. I want the charge off my card. I want to be put on their DO NOT CALL list.

Review: In February of 2014, I received a call from DirectConnect 911 that as an advertising promotion that they would like to send me a smoke detector and all I'd have to do is pay the shipping and handling of $7.95. I asked what else I had to do. They told me nothing! Since I had just turned ** and received a [redacted] Card, I figured it was a thing for being a Senior Citizen.So I gave them my visa card number and hadn't heard anything else. I was not told of a monthly charge. I never used it or activated it, the batteries are still in the package. Now, they sent a letter saying I owe them money for it. I called Feb.**,2015 and they told me I owe them money cause it was activated when they sent it. I told them that I was not told of charges and nothing else was taken from my visa. On the activating card in box says it had to be activated by 12/**/2013.They threatened my credit report. I'm in the process of returning it to them by registered mail. I feel they are trying to scam me by misrepresenting this.I'm not paying for a service that never happened.Desired Settlement: They are to leave my credit report and me alone. I never received a bill. I don't even know what the monthly charge is. They misrepresented their product to me and I never signed any agreement. I am sending it back, unactivated, for services that were never preformed.

I sent the smoke detector back on March **, 2015 everything still wrapped up and not used. And it was delivered to them and signed by [redacted], [redacted] on March **,2015 at 11:26 a.m. Now, a woman by the name of [redacted] keeps calling me wanting the detector. I don't answer the calls no more. The last time she called was March **, 2015
