The staff at Academy Mortgage Corporation were so knowledgeable with all aspects of applying for and getting a VA Mortgage that, for us the borrower's, it was fast and very simple. We acquired our VA Mortgage with the lowest rate on the Market at the time.

The amount they told us we would need to bring to closing was accurate to the penny. This is the third home that we have purchased and was, without any doubt, the easiest experience dealing with the lender. We were pre-approved for our mortgage in less than 3 days, locked in our rate as early as possible, and only needed to provide copies of documentation once, unless the underwriter needed a more current copy. Nick made promises he didn't deliver. He had me pay thousands off on credit cards and misc bills and promised he would have preferred approval letter for me in 30 days and closing in 45 days because he said they own the underwriting and they will get the approval. Then he stopped contacting me and wouldn't return emails. Finally he said nothing he can do. I'm a disabled veteran of the armed forces and I will let everyone know &is business practices.
We are very happy to have home. Nick S was amazing! He answered all of our questions as soon as he could and he was always there through the whole process. He always kept us up to date on what was going on and he was very personable. I would recommend him to anyone!
