I used this company in April to inspect my septic tank before I purchased my first home. They said everything was fine. Fast forward 8 months later and I'm having septic issues. My receipt was misplaced and I couldn't remember what company I used to contact them about my issue. Meanwhile, I called Dixie because they had great reviews and they came out and did a free estimate - I needed a new drainfield. I was devastated because I was trying to avoid this with the initial inspection knowing I couldn't afford it. Next day I found the receipt for the inspection. It was Dixie. The company who told me it was fine, said it needed to be replaced. I contacted the company via the online form, I've given them plenty of time to at least RESPOND, to no avail. I will now start upping my contact efforts, I was just trying to be nice. Even a response of denying it's their fault at this point would have been better than completely ignoring a customer who they screwed over. I'm now stuck with a house where I have to be cautious of my water usage and nobody should have to live with the constant anxiety of this.
Sorry for the delay as I was out of town.I found this on my desk upon my return, if this was an emergency, we did not receive a call from you, to our knowledge. On an inspection there is no guaranty or warranty. The day we did the inspection it was in good working condition.The inspection reports states in to different areas that there are no guarantees. " The septic system has been inspected and appears to be in working order at this time." and "This inspection is not a warranty of this septic system, it is information compiled by myself as an employee of Dixie Septic Tank Inc., a licensed contractor with the state of Florida. Your septic system was inspected 9
months ago, at that point in time it was working. I am sorry it is not working now, we have provided you with a quote for a new drain field. A pump out is 250.00 until January 1st 2018 then it will be 275.00. Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
