I will contact Mr*** to discuss a resolution to his complaint. Courtney C***Crew Carwash, Inc

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. The gift card program with Costco offers customers a $value for only $39.99. With a 25% discount on the Costco gift cards we do not allow these cards to be used for purchasing our wash books
which are currently being sold at a 30% discount. This is clearly explained on the back of each gift card (please see attached). We are sorry for the confusion but we simply cannot sell our washes at a 55% discount as requested by Mr***. Costco will gladly take back any unused gift cards for a full refund if Mr*** would rather take advantage of our Buy get Fathers Day sale.Sincerely,Crew Carwash

I just spoke with Ms*** regarding the scratches to her Jeep Our Area Director, Manny P***, will be contacting her to schedule a time that they can meet and he can see the vehicle in person Sincerely,Courtney C***

At Crew Carwash, customer satisfaction is our primary goal. We take all customer experience reports veryseriously and strive to settle all claims fairly. We appreciate the opportunity to share theresults of our investigation into Mr*** reportAfter his visit to Crew on May
19th, 2015, Mr*** reported areas ofheavy scratching over most of the vehicle. The scratching is random inlocation, direction, depth, and appearance. After taking the report fromMr*** our manager thoroughly inspected the carwash and found nothingunusual. He watched vehicles exiting the carwash and observed clean& scratch free finishes. The hour leading up to Mr***visit we wash cars and nearly the hour following with Mr***being the only report of damage. With this information and ourknowledge of how the carwashing equipment contacts a vehicle, we were able to confidently determinethat these scratches were not caused by our carwash. We understand howdisappointing it is to find damage to a vehicle and why Mr*** feels itmay have been caused by the carwash. However; based on our findings, itwould not be fair to our other customers if we engaged in the practice ofpaying for damages we did not cause. In effort to help Mr*** feel better about our position we would be happy to meet withhim at the carwash and show him vehicles as they are being wash. Often, it helps customers understand ourprocess and how we came to our decision when they can see cars being washedfrom outside of the vehicle. Sincerely,Courtney ***Crew CarwashCustomer Service

After going through the carwash Mr*** filed a claim for damage to his Nissan He claimed that the carwash cracked his front left headlight, caused areas of paint to peel on the roof and hood, and caused the window tint on the inside of his rear windshield to start peeling
The vehicle was inspected by a very experienced manager and pictures were also taken Based on his review of the damage it was determined by our manager that none of the damage being reported was caused by the wash The pictures and details of the vehicle were also reviewed by our claims adjuster and myself Our experience and knowledge of the wash process confidently tells us that none of this damage was caused by our carwash Additionally, when reviewing the video of Mr***'s vehicle, we could see the cracked headlight and peeling window tint before the vehicle entered the carwash We understand that Mr*** disagrees, but our position if firm and we will not pay for damages that were not caused by the carwash. Thank you,Courtney C***Crew Carwash, Inc

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** *** I agree with CourtneyYes he has supplied one type of damage that occurs in there washBut as for my truck it has never been parked under a low hanging objectNever hauled anything on top of the cab or had a hose pulled across it like they are statingI'm the only person that drives this truck and the only person that has taken it to a car wast has never been washed by hand to this dayIt has only been in the two washes in LafayetteHe has shown me the pic of the scratches before the wash and all I'm saying is that sure maybe they were there before this washBut who gets out every time to inspect the cab of there pickupI did get into the habit of inspecting it after every washAt different speeds of the wash and movements of there cloth I just can't see that as the only type of scratches that occurYou can go any given day and never go the same speed

Mr*** has two small rock chips on his windshield and one small paint chip on his passenger side fender that also appears to have been caused by a rock impacting the paint with a great deal of force We have had numerous conversations with Mr*** and feel that arbitration may be
necessary. Best regards,Courtney C***Crew Carwash, Inc

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to Mr***’s complaint. After visiting our carwash Mr*** returned to file an incident report for the splash guard that covers the bottom of the engine on his Mustang. When reviewing the damage we can see that the splash guard has
been pulled down and essentially ripped from the hardware that mounts it in place (see attached pictures). Mr***’s Mustang is stock. We wash thousands of these vehicles every year and know that there is nothing in the wash (other than water) that touches the underside of these Mustangs. With that in mind we also know that there’s no possible scenario that would lead to the wash causing this type of damage and for this reason we denied Mr***’s claim. We understand how upsetting it can be to find damage to your vehicle and that Mr*** was not aware that his vehicle was damaged until after his trip through the carwash. It’s very possible that this previously damaged splash guard was jarred loose during the wash and this caused it to drag after he exited. We are sorry that he found this damage to his vehicle but we are confident that this was not caused by our wash process. We would love the opportunity to meet with Mr*** at one of our washes so we can show him the wash process and let him inspect our equipment Our hope would be that an onsite meeting would help him better understand how our equipment interacts with his vehicle and that this would lead to his acceptance of our position Please let us know if Mr*** would be willing to meet with us Best regards, Courtney C***Crew Carwash, Inc

According to Mr***, after exiting the carwash he went to open the rear passenger side door on his Ford Explorer. When Mr*** pulled on the door handle, it detached from the vehicle and became inoperable. Mr*** feels that the carwash is responsible for this damage, but we
feel that this damage occurred due to a failure of the internal components of the door handle. While our position of liability has not changed, in an effort to resolve this dispute we would be willing to make a customer goodwill gesture by offering half ($42.5) of the amount requested in the complaint.Thank you,Courtney ***Crew Carwash Inc

We understand Ms*** frustration regarding this damage to her vehicle, but unfortunately sub-par repairs made to this panel are the root cause of this issue Upon reviewing the pictures of this incident we found that one of the clips required to properly secure this door panel in place had
yellow adhesive on it Additionally when inspecting the back of the panel, there is a corresponding blob of adhesive residue When reviewing the video of her vehicle as it progressed through the wash we can see the piece blew off during the drying process and this would be consistent with a panel that has previous damage In conversation with Ms*** she mentioned that she had only had the vehicle for a few months and was unaware of any repairs While we understand that she was not aware the panel had been previously damaged and glued back in place, we were also unaware of this damage and therefore unable to warn her of the potential risk Knowing there is a higher risk for additional damage to previously damaged areas during an automatic carwash, we have a sign posted at the entrance notifying customers that we do not accept liability for previous damage We sympathize with Ms***, but for these reasons her claim was denied and we stand firm on this position We have attached pictures of the glued areas for review We did find the panel that came off Ms*** car and she is welcome to pick it up from the location. Best regards,Courtney C***Crew Carwash, Inc

On 7/Mr*** filed a claim for damage to of rims/tires on his Camaro According to our manager that took the claim, Mr*** indicated that he had last washed his Camaro sometime in May or June but he was unable to provide us with a date & time of his visit Upon review
of the damage we could see that both of the driver’s side and the front passenger side wheels had a gouge into the metal of the wheel and some rubber tire missing in the exact same location Without information on the date & time of Mr***’s visit we were unable to review video from the day of his visit and it is of our expert opinion that this damage to his wheels is in no way consistent with damage that could be caused by our wash We certainly acknowledge that our wash is not perfect and that it can cause damage to vehicles However, we also know that vehicle damage often happens during regular operation of the vehicle and often without the owner’s immediate knowledge As we suggested to Mr***, it is of our opinion that this damage to his wheels is consistent contacting something abrasive such as a concrete curb or possibly from hitting pot holes. These suggestions were made in effort to help Mr*** explore other possibilities for what could cause this type of damage. Our decision was not made based on these suggestions. It was made based on our experience and knowledge of the wash process & equipment. We know that all wash equipment that contacts the wheels on a vehicle is shrouded in plastic that's softer than the metal of a wheel. Had there been something exposed that could cause this type of damage, we would expect to see the damage around the face of the wheel caused as the rotating tire rubs against the exposed area. While we are sorry that Mr*** found this damage to his vehicle and feels strongly that Crew is the only place that could have caused it. We simply cannot accept liability for damage that we know was not caused by our wash process. I have attached pictures of the damaged wheels for the Revdex.com to review. Sincerely, Courtney C***Crew Carwash, Inc

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Following a visit through our carwash on 7/21/16, Mr*** reported that his rear bumper was loose. Upon reviewing our video of Mr***'s vehicle we could see that the bumper was misaligned before entering the
carwash (see attached picture). This misalignment is a clear indication that the bumper had sustained damage that allowed our cloth to get wedged between the bumper and the body of the vehicle. We acknowledge that the carwash may have worsened the damage to Mr***'s vehicle, but this damage occurred due to a pre-existing condition. We know from experience that there's nothing we can do to prevent further damage when pre-existing damage is present. For this reason we have a sign posted at the entrance of the carwash letting our customers know that we do not accept liability previously damaged vehicles. We are sorry this happened but we cannot accept liability for this incident. Best regards,Courtney C***Crew Carwash, Inc

The vehicle had just come off the interstate, I refuse to believe that 70mph winds would not rip down a piece of my vehicle, that is meant for wind deflection, if it was previously damaged like mikes car wash believes, but that a car wash labeled as having the most advanced technology available wouldI have spoken to ford and they have said that the vehicle piece is meant to absorb the impact of small rocks and scrapes, that is has strong up-force resistance but little down resistanceThat being said, I see no way for the damage to have been caused beforehandI have been a loyal unlimited pass customer of crew car wash for over a year, all I'm asking is that they fix their mistakeUntil that happens they have lost a loyal customer

As stated in his complaint, Mr*** believes his 26" custom wheel was scratched during a visit to our carwash on 11/14/15. At Crew Carwash, the safety of our customers and their vehicles is our number one priority. We work hard to keep up with changing automotive
manufacturing trends and ensure our wash system is designed to safely wash most modern vehicles with factory equipped options. Unfortunately, no matter what safety precautions we take, we know from over years of carwashing experience that after factory modifications made to vehicles can create a much higher risk for damage from automatic carwashes. Knowing we have no way to fully ensure the safety of after factory modifications, we have a sign posted at the entrance of every Crew Carwash informing our customers that we do not accept responsibly for damage to after factory modifications. This disclaimer sign is posted in clear sight and is prior to entering the wash tunnel. This gives the customer the option to exit the line if they decide they are not willing to accept the risk. The highly customized 26" wheels on MrM's vehicle would undoubtedly fall into the after factory modification category. During conversations with MrM, Crew made a customer goodwill offer of $to touch up the wheel. This offer was made simply as a gesture of goodwill. We have in no way assumed any liability for this damage. IF the damage MrM’s wheel was caused by the carwash, it was due to the design of his wheels and not due to any form of negligence by Crew Carwash or our employees. For reference we have included a picture of our disclaimer sign and a picture of MrM's wheel
