Review: I made the mistake of using Doostang's resume writing service without checking the Revdex.com rating for this business.

I purchased this service on an installment plan ($349 in total payments).

I believe the first installment of $99 was charged to my credit card.

The resume re-write which was sent to me was wholly unsatisfactory. It was riddled with typographical errors. Furthermore, I was told by several recruiters that the draft resume provided by Doostang was UNREADABLE.

In short, I believe this is a scam of an egregious sort.

I have requested a refund but the company has not been responsive. A person by the name of [redacted] has threatened to put this matter to collections.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.Desired Settlement: I desire a refund with interest and an apology for the waste of my time.

There is no trial or grace period after purchasing the resume writing service. Like any writing project, there will be multiple drafts and revisions. Doostang's writers will work with you until you are satisfied with your resume. As a result, there are no refunds once the resume writing service has been purchased.

Doostang offers a payment plan option that allows you to receive the new resume upfront, in exchange for future payments. Failure to make future payments may result in your information being passed along to the leading credit bureaus and appearing on your credit report.

-The first draft was unacceptable. It was unreadable and had typographical errors. The drafter did not even make an attempt to fix the typos.

-It was simply too much work to discuss the draft with the preparer to fix it. It's not my job to fix an incoherent mess.

-I have requested a refund on at least two occasions, and these requests fell on deaf ears.

-I am confident that Doostang resume writing service is a SCAM.

This is an unsatisfactory response from Doostang.

Doostang does not offer refunds for what I consider to be egregiously inadequate service.

I am not not interested in spending my valuable time with Doostang to get a bad product to an adequate product.

The draft product submitted to me was UNUSABLE and I will not be using it, which defeats the purpose of hiring Doostang in the first place.

I demand nothing less than a refund and an apology from Doostang. Based on reports from other Doostang users, I believe I am not alone.

Review: I never agreed to automatic renewal or recurring payments. As can be seen in my usage history, I did not know I had a membership to this site, and never used it.

At no time did I authorize recurring payments.Desired Settlement: Please refund all monies taken after the initial payment. Please do not make me take additional action.

Doostang is very clear in stating that all memberships are automatically renewed unless canceled. Members may cancel their subscriptions at anytime.

Review: In October 2013 I received an unsolicited e-mail from the Company's representative [redacted] regarding a resume writing service. I ordered the service but was promised a questionnaire right away to get the resume started. I waited a few days and the questionnaire was not received and upon filing this complaint I never received a resume from Doostang. I started e-mailing [redacted] and did not respond. In total I e-mail him twice and he did not respond. I Googled Doostang's phone number which is ###-###-#### and it was disconnected. On October [redacted] I log into the confirmation e-mail received from Doostang and canceled the order and requested my money back. I never received the money. I disputed it with my bank and Doostang International lied to my bank in order to keep the money. That's why I now turn to Revdex.com to get my money back. The customer purchased our Professional Resume Rewrite service on 10/**/2013 at 10:29 PM. He was promptly e-mailed the questionnaire we need to get started on 10/**/2013 at 10:29 AM.

Review: I signed up for this service for six months, and at the end of the subscription was automatically re-billed in an unethical manner. No notification was given prior to re-billing, and monthly re-billing rates are significantly higher than initial monthly fee. No receipt or confirmation of re-billing was sent. Only discovered re-billing through monthly credit card statement. Re-billing policy is disclosed, but is buried in terms of service. Either re-billing policy should have been disclosed plainly at the time of billing, or notification should have been given prior to re-billing.Desired Settlement: Full refund to credit card, cash, or check

The customer's refund request violates the Doostang Terms of Service. All subscriptions renew unless cancelled by the user. Each member is required to read and agree to the Terms Of Service before enrolling. The customer did not receive a refund because he did not cancel his subscription prior to renewal, or within the 48 hour refund period following the beginning of the subscription term.
