Los Angeles. In order to complete her request we had shipped her items via [redacted]. When her items arrived, they seem to have been damaged by the shipping carrier. Prior to this complaint we were not informed of any damage from her, however after receiving this complaint, our customer service immediately reached out to her to gather the necessary information to file a claim with [redacted] regarding the damage. [redacted] accepted responsibility for the damage and a claim is in process.

I'm very satisfied with Dorm Room Movers. They are upfront and frank about what services they provide so you will know what to expect from them and what services are not provided. I enlisted their help for summer 2016 (storage/boxes) and I got everything I wanted back!

I would warn prospective customers to be very careful in using Dorm Room Movers.

- Over the course of many months of trying to work with them, we found most of their representatives to be very unknowledgeable and to frequently provide incorrect info and price quotes.

- For example, be aware that they will provide you with only one or two days for which they will provide free pick up or delivery at your location (i.e. days when they have others in that area to serve). If you need to schedule for a different day, you will pay significant extra fees.

- We found their web site to be lacking in terms of full disclosure of terms, costs, etc.

- They say that they can ship your belongings to your home. However, that will only apply to boxes up to a certain size. If you have furniture, they cannot ship that anywhere outside the local area where they picked it up/stored it. The phone representative assured us this was no problem, but then we received follow up calls telling us they had made a mistake. Several months later, representatives again offered to ship our furniture to our home, and then got back to me to say they had been wrong about their ability to do that.

- I was billed for extended storage service at a price that I had not authorized, and had to struggle to get the charge reversed.

- All in all, we used Dorm Room Movers because it was expedient at a time when my son was making a last minute change in campus living arrangements. However, the on-going experience with this company proved to be extremely unpleasant.

- I cannot recommend this company to others.

I used Dorm Room Movers this Summer and as a college student I appreciated the availability of the company and the employees answered all of my questions clearly and promptly. The price of the services were right in my budget and it was truly pleasant experience.

I have been thoroughly humiliated by Dorm Room Mover's advertising and sales evasion tactics and customer service. We hired Dorm Room Movers to move/store my daughters furniture, who's a college student, for a few weeks. The initial cost was estimated to be around 450.00; however, my final bill came in over 1,000.00 due to items being labeled incorrectly, we were charged for the storage of extra boxes that we didn't even have and at no point during the registration process for pick-up was I informed that there would an additional costs for the storage of each box. I made several calls to Dorm Room Movers to try to get this corrected; however, they have not corrected the issue yet. Their advertising is very misleading and I was fooled by it. I should have used [redacted] instead because the cost would have been $300.00.

I have been thoroughly humiliated by Dorm Room Mover's advertising and sales evasion tactics. As a poor college student, I was attracted to the service due to its 25% off promotion. At no point during my registration for pick-up and delivery was I informed of the costs of storing each box on an invoice, personal receipt, etc. Nothing. I've never been so fooled by a service before. The helpful FAQ's about what to expect did not prepare me for when my card was attempted to be charged over five times the amount I expected to owe the service overall. The exorbitant $50 late fee per month my account holds a balance, rampant advertising using promises of discounts without CLEARLY disclosing total costs for using the service, and evasive advertising (in big letters, "$36," in much smaller letters, "per box") reassures me that this business preys upon the hopeful gullibility of poor college students like me. It is filthy business practice I feel disgusted at having given my time and money.

my two movers were just exceptional, very friendly and very respectful of time and space. they even helped me brainstorm ways to place my furniture. my things also came back the way I packed them. would definitely move with you guys again

I had a terrible experience with Dorm Room Movers both when my things were being picked up and delivered. My movers did not show up any where close to my delivery/pickup times and after multiple attempts to contact them I was not called about my pickup until after my pickup window expired and about delivery until 15 minutes until my delivery window was up. My items in boxes came stuck together and in attempt to pull them apart many items became unusable. My futon also came back damaged. It can no longer sit up on its own and must be pushed against a wall in order to be used as a couch. I was not aware of the 24 hour period I had to file an insurance claim or else I would've filed one as soon as my movers walked out the door. I was very disappointed in the service and don't plan on using Dorm Room Movers again.

I was so skeptical on how this process was going to work.

But Dorm Movers put me at ease. Their customer service is amazing. The delivery guys in Flagstaff were so kind and helpful. I'm grateful for this service. It beats paying a monthly storage fee.

Dorm Room Movers was an excellent choice for moving my daughter while in college the last two years. We have had boxes stored and also shipped home. Customer service is excellent and we will use again. Thank you, Dorm Room Movers, for making the transition easier!

When your son is going to school quite a distance out of state this option worked best for us. From the point of getting the boxes to pack, to pickup on campus for which a block time was given, or to the delivery of his packed boxes back on campus all were done very well. We will continue with Dorm Room Movers.

I have to say I will NEVER use Dorm Room Movers again, it's been nothing but a headache and inconvenience.

1. Called to book the service, agent never told me about free delivery dates; simply said when you need the boxes to be delivered give us a call.

2. Day of pick up they were 3 hours late from the pick up time scheduled, never called or provided an estimate arrival time

3. At time of pick up, does not provide a copy of what they were storing with respective box numbers; the result it was submitted incorrectly; had no record to prove it was incorrect

4. my daughter had to wait a week after she moved in to get her boxes since they wanted to charge almost $400 to have them delivered outstide of the free dates they never told me about

5. when they delivered the boxes they were missing a box; thank god I wrote down the box numbers in case there was an issue. This was the only way I was able to tell them there was a box missing and the number since it was not in their paperwork

6. called to let them know there was a box missing and provided the box#; their concern is how they never charged me for the missing box since it was not in the paperwork and how they needed to charge me for that

Dorm Room Movers should apologize for the inconvenience and all the mistakes, locate the box and deliver it at no charge since my daughter once again has to wait for your free delivery dates to have it delivered if located at all.
