I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

We do apologize for the time it took to complete the project we ran into a few situations beyond our control But in regards to the painting of the porch floor it is a masonry floor and at the time the current project manager gave the customer that as a perk for the delay in the work being
done It is also possible that the masonry work is needed on the porch and it's it has reach it's life span and it will not hold the paint Also the gutter's were completed on 4/30/so we do not owe anything further to the customer

When we were first contacted by the customer it was for a roof leak not a condensation issue.  The work that was done stopped the initial roof leak problem. There is a condensation issue and that is due to the way the house was built there was no ventilation put into the roof which is no...

fault of ours.  To make the customer happy we agreed to install the vents for them at no charge.  We have every intention on resolving this issue but due to the weather which has backed up our schedule tremendously on other jobs that we have been doing for other customers that we are trying to close out.  We told them we would get back to them with a date and they filed a complaint before this can even been done.  We have been in touch with the customer and made them aware of this also.  Since this was a short week due to the holiday and our company was closed since last Friday we will be setting a date next week to install the vent for the customer.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Its been 3 weeks and there were days that the weather were good.  They never took initiative to call.  I always have to call them.  They keep saying they will call back and they dont.  This is an emergency.  Water is dripping from my ceiling.  And everytime I call most of the time they will say , they are coming the next day but they dont and they dont even call.  They always have some kind of excuse.  3 weeks waiting and they never even call not once to give me a status when they can come.
Regards,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Their response is completely false. We originally wanted to put stone down and we were told by the company that we would be better off just painting it we paid for the paint job. As for the gutters they have never been replaced.   This company  told us the job would take just about a week or two, They came back the next day ripped down our columns  in front of our house ripped down all the railings that they were supposed to replaced  and then we did not see them for weeks. Finally after calling them daily for months the very last thing they did was finally replaced the columns in the front of our house. Other words what this company did was held us hostage they ripped down our columns and our railings and left. We spent months calling and texting daily only to have someone show up at two in the afternoon and leave at three.  If you do not believe me I do have the numberS  of their former employees who work for them who will attest to the service we got. once again I paid for the floors to be refinished and I pay for new gutters that were never put in.
Regards,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I found more safety issues with the beam. One beam has brackets that allow for 8 screws total. The other beams only have two screws securing the post to the deck. Apparently only one person at DreamTeam can do the work and will not be available till next week. No definitive date has been provided when requested.  I continually have to spend energy to call and followup with Dream Team. Case will remain open until Dream Team performs repairs.  Also due to the casual response by Dream Team I will be filing with the NJ AG and including pictures of the safety issue

We fully intend to complete the roof job contracted. Unfortunately we had several start dates that never materialized due to circumstances from both parties. We had several roof jobs that were before the current customer and we have finished up all but two remaining. At the completion of those we...

will begin this customers project through to completion. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay but we fully intend to complete the project 100%

At this point we want to come out and fix the leak and any inside damage that has occurred from the leaking.  Once that is taken care of we will discuss the refund for any services from there.

We would like to first and foremost apologize to [redacted] for any inconvenience this may have caused.  On 9/23/14 we sent our technicians out to his home and corrected all problems on the work that was originally performed.  [redacted] also sent an email on 9/24/2014 that he was very...

satisfied with the work performed.  As of today all issues have been resolved.

Review: Dream Team was contracted to install a new roof. The roof was not completed correctly causing it to buckle due to water damage.Desired Settlement: A roof that does not allow water inside.

Review: Dream Team Chimney provided an estimate to repoint/rebuild 20 rows of brick on a chimney at a cost of $3300. New brick was to be used. The salesman said that this estimate was based on 40 years experience. When I inquired why their estimate was half of other estimates, the salesman ([redacted]) called the other companies "crooks"! The very next day after dismantling the 20 rows, he returned my deposit check and said that the pointing was still bad and he needs to take the chimney down another 35 rows to the yankee gutter because "they could knock the chimney over right now" and wrote a new contract for $12,000. I paid a $7000 deposit. This was followed by the entire chimney is collapsing, followed by rebuilding the entire chimney through the roof of a an enclosed former porch room, followed by the necessity for a stainless steel chimney liner(by state law), all at additional cost. I paid a $1900 deposit for the liner, thinking it was required by state law. This firm also provided the Boro of [redacted] with a NSF check for the permit ($102) which I replaced with a personal check. In total, $9002 was paid for a job that should have cost $3300.

I was not permitted to use the firms ladders to personally inspect the chimney, nor was I shown pictures. No broken or cracked brick or flue tiles were found or shown to me as I requested. They tried to provide new brick that was not the same size as the original and then brick that was not the same color. They wound up using my original brick while charging me for new. They also damaged a cupola beyond repair using it to support their ladder and didn't bother to protect the rubberized roof or metal edge, severely damaging both. The weather vane and bracket was pulled out of the roof. They exclusively used my garden hoses, damaging them. Low voltage lights were knocked over, necessitating that they be dug up and re-wired. At least $2000 in damage to my property.

It took a full month to complete the job.Desired Settlement: A settlement of a paid invoice for the $9002 already paid for a $3300 job was offered, in writing, on 9/9/14. There hasn't been any response.

I am now asking you to obtain a refund of $5702 for the make-work bogus chimney repair. Should the company not be willing to comply, I will take them to court and include the damages to my property.

Review: Dream Team installed a fire place insert in 2011. Upon installation of the insert a repair of the chimney was suggested, approved, performed and paid. In 2012 I rehired the company for a chimney sweep and again a repair ( pointing of the outside ) was suggested, approved and performed - this time for the second chimney of the house. Yesterday the company came over for another chimney sweep appointment and it did not go well. A gentleman by the name of [redacted] claiming to be the stepson of the owner [redacted] immediately proceeded to look at the outside of the chimney in which the fireplace insert is located and suggested repair ( repointing ). When I told him that this was done 3 years ago he told me that they will take care of the repair for free and give me a free chimney sweep. He left and advise he was calling me back in 30 minutes. No call ever came. The company was supposed to come back the same day which did not happen. Upon calling [redacted] back he announced that it was to be done this morning 09/19 - first thing in the morning. Nobody showed and upon calling [redacted] at 9:30 am to find out when somebody was coming I was told he was with a customer and was calling me back. He never called back and trying to reach him 30 minutes later my two phone calls were not answered. I was not able to leave a message because the cell phone does not have a mail box set up. It appears they obviously changed their mind.

It leaves me to conclude that that company gets over low paying services ( $49.99 for a sweep ) a foot in the door and persuade customers to have expensive repairs done - once that well is dried up and no additional services can be suggested they are no longer interested.Desired Settlement: I would very much like the company to keep there word and do the repairs they promised - if that is not going to happen they should send me a letter of apology.

Review: After Hurricane Sandy my roof needed to be replaced. Dream Team replaced it in December 2012. Immediately after I contacted the office because my siding had been stained by all their roofing products. After several calls and even email with pictures, I received no response . Then in summer of 2013 I contacted them again because the roof shingles they installed are covering my roof gutters, again no response. This winter because of the draining issue I fell on ice, I vowed to get this fixed. I started calling 5/26/15 - 7/9/15 weekly. Spoke with Jessica, Diane and Carnita. All took my number and no one has called me back. In addition to my gutter issues , there are lots of nails flying off my roof that I mentioned to them. Not sure why the nails coming off my roof. All I want is for someone to fix the shingles that are covering my gutters and to see why the nails are coming loose and falling out.Desired Settlement: All I like is for them to send someone to fix the shingles that are covering my gutters and to see why so many nails are coming loose from my roof and put more in.

Thank you

Review: On July 19,2014 I entered into a contract to remove entire set of outside stairs down to dirt and to rebuild two steps which would include 2 pieces of limestone installed on two steps and to install hand rail for platform which I would supply. I have paid 2/3rds of the contract price with the balance due upon completion. Dream Team also took a piece of my existing railing which they have not returned.I have encountered nothing but difficulty in getting this job completed, having to make 2 or 3 phone calls per day, since nothing was being done. It was one excuse after another and lies about when the work would commence and subsequently when the job would be completed. When the job was allegedly completed (October 1,2014) two of the limestone pieces were severely cracked. I called to inform the owner of Dream Team, who has never returned my calls and continues to ignore the problem. In addition when the foundation was being dug a good portion of dirt was removed from the abutting foundation and when it rains there is a large accumulation of water at that place and I was told by the supervisor (one of four, since they were always firing someone) that this would be taken care of and it was not.Additionally, Dream Team installed a new roof on my house and I had a problem with that. This past winter there apparently as a leak since I had leakage in my vestibule. The water literally froze on the cherry wood paneling and destroyed the finish. On four different occasions when I called they eventually sent someone to take pictures and the last time they removed a piece of the molding to allegedly try and match it. This was approximately three weeks ago and they have never come back to reinstall it or make the necessary repairs. This is an untenable situation and I want the work completed and I have been given no explanation as to what is going on.Desired Settlement: Since the work has not been done in accordance with the contract and I am going to have to hire new masons in addition to having fill on the foundation and have some redo the paneling I feel that the only recourse it to have Dream Team refund the $1600. that I have paid them so that I can employ a reputable contractor to do the work. As an aside I hired Dream Team after checking their rating with the Revdex.com and it appeared that they had a good record.

Review: This company charged me 1200$ to repair my front steps. Then another 6500$ to knock them down and replace them. They offered "free of charge" to repair my railings & install them on the new porch. It's a month later almost, no railings. Days into the project after he demolished my porch, they tell me they need a permit. How they didn't know that before they took out my porch is inconceivable. So between the weather & the town another week went by. Then they find out they don't need a permit! So they finished the steps in a few days. Then, say "oh, your railings are not up to code any more, so we need another 1400$ to install new ones." I refused since they owe me 1200$ from a repair they never did. My contract states 6500$ to rebuild, and a separate 1200$ to repair. I speak to Jay and he's of no help, he was supposed to review my contract issues. They were supposed to deliver my railings Tuesday June 6/30/15. Thursday 7/2, Jay was meeting me at 10 am. He never came & said he overslept & had other stops to make & he'd be at my house at 1. I called him at 1:30 & he told me he's at a customers house, he'd call me back. Then John called promising my railings Friday 7/3 by noon. I've called numerous times to speak to Kenny, who I'm told is the owner. However, he's never available. They also offered free gutter cleaning for my trouble & the delay of the installation of my railings, this was before they told me they aren't up to code. That, also, hasn't happened.Desired Settlement: Refund of the 1200$ I paid to repair the steps. My contract stated 6500$ to replace. I paid $7700.

Review: Dream Team did some chimney work on my home over a year ago. They were supposed to take out permits for the work. After the job was completed, the town of Millburn was supposed to come to inspect their work and make sure it is within code. I have called numerous times to ask them (Dream Team) to put in the permit with the town and pay for the permit so that the town can come inspect the work, but they always tell me they will call me back but they never do. This has been going on for over a year. I would just like them to put in and pay for the permit and let the town come and fix any issues the town might find.

Business

Response:

Our office contacted the building department and resolved the permit issue. We also spoke with [redacted] and informed him of the results. As such the matter is resolved and no further action is necessary.

Review: We gave this company an $800 deposit and they didn't do the work and won't give us back the money. We have called multiple times, they said they would refund us the money and two months later we still have no payment. We paid them on April 24, 2015.Desired Settlement: I would like my $800 back by certified check or cash, as I paid them in cash.
