DTC Corporation Reviews (24)

Review: This involves a used vehicle which is a 2007 [redacted].

I feel the I was misrepresented and deceived with a vehicle that does not meet the standards and criteria that they advertised. That is a vehicle with two previous owners when it was actually Three. Much, much more than that is the fact that DTC Corp, specifically sales manager Jovan Jon, assured me that this vehicle was never in an accident.

After initially noticing Seven [7] dings on the car and then after a thorough search found Ten[10], I decided to take the car to an Auto Body expert with Forty [40] years of experience. His name is [redacted] from [redacted] Auto Body in [redacted],Pa., [redacted] Phone: ###-###-####.He spent more than Thirty[30] minutes of his time assessing and explaining ALL the defects and how and why they happened.

Briefly, there were numerous indications that this entire car had body work and was repainted without proper procedures leaving dozens of defects and signs of short cuts where entire areas were skipped and where the transition area was obvious because of different shades and varying degrees of metallic make up in the paint. The more and more you examine the vehicle the more defects seem to appear.

Tony said because of this "Shoddy" work, there are bridges[Auto Body term] that were NOT done properly which will ultimately resulting in the paint peeling[probably within a year or Two] because of moisture getting in.

I was told and thought I was getting a Car with original paint, original body with no accidents. Instead I was deceived and got a vehicle whose body was damaged, altered and repaired in a very unprofessional fashion.

Furthermore I was told by credible sources that when a Title is transferred from State to State there are "Loopholes" where the new buyer can get a CLEAN title. this car came from New York, which happens to be Mr. Jovan J**'s home town! On a side note I randomly picked Ten [10] cars on their[Car Vision's] website and Seven [7] out of Ten[10] were from New York!Desired Settlement: Full Refund or Reimbursement for getting a professional to paint it and do the necessary body work.

Review: I purchased a vehicle on June 18, 2014. The price was $11,999. The vehicle included a 30 day powertrain warranty. The vehicle was misrepresented as having had a118 inspection prior to sale. I was told by [redacted] at signing of the paperwork that due to the distance which I live from Car Vision that any repairs would be done where I live. On June 23, 2014 I had the vehicle inspected by the [redacted] dealer in [redacted], KY because of shifting problems and oil in my driveway. They found several severe mechanical engine and transmission problems and other needed repairs totaling $12,945.90 covered by my powertrain warranty. I have repeatedly made attempts daily to reach Car Vision and arrange repairs. No one has returned my phone calls in 12 days.Desired Settlement: I'm requesting immediate contact with the general manager to reach an agreement. I'm also requesting a check for the total estimated cost of all parts and labor for repairs covered by my warranty to have the vehicle repaired where I live.

July 14, 2014Dear [redacted],We spoke with [redacted] many times we explained we are more than willing to fix his problem at no cost to him.We offer a 30 day 1000 mile powertrain warranty he has stated to us that his transmission malfunctioned on his way to Indiana. We told him very clearly as per our agreement we have a full service facility here at Car Vision and again he would need to get the car here and we will fix it 100% at No Cost. We in no way mislead [redacted] and supplied him with work order's we performed on his [redacted].Very truly yours,

Review: I purchased the vehicle from [redacted]. They had an ad on [redacted] for a vehicle for sale in their lot and online. They represented a detailed description that was inaccurate and deceiving. [redacted] advertized the vehicle had no electronic issues, that the exhaust was in good condition, the engine was in good condition, and the transmission is in good condition. The vehicle broke down after leaving the lot. The muffler is missing, the alternator didn't work, the horn, blinkers, & radio do not work (indicating an electronic failure), the engine oil cap is missing, the clutch slips out of gear, and when the vehicle is turned off a large amount of motor oil spews out from the engine onto the ground.Desired Settlement: This is a car dealership and the vehicle was all cleaned and [redacted] was used on the interior as well as the engine. They gave very specific conditions on this car in their online ad. I also spoke with them on several occasions asking about the condition of the vehicle and if it was road worthy. I told them I would be driving it home to Vt and they told me I would have no problems. I had to have it towed off the ** turnpike and repairs new alternator, new engine fuses, and a new engine oil cap as it was missing, had to be done before it could be driven any further. With these conditions the vehicle is worth about $500.00 not the $1225.00 that was paid. I want a $725.00 refund.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

It is not cost effective to have the vehicle shipped from Vt nor is the vehicle able to be driven to Pa. The seller can make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. Or give a refund of $725.00 for the false advertizing claiming the vehicle went through their 118 point check prior to listing it for sale. I was told, after the purchase, by the service manager Kevin they never looked at the vehicle at all!

Regards,

Please see the listing for this vehicle as I found it on [redacted]:

Response:

We again will offer a complete refund of the entire transaction. It is the buyers responsibility to return the car. It is also our understanding that the person writing these emails to the Revdex.com is not the buyer, as the buyer (gentleman who picked up and signed for the car) called us the other day and said to disregard these emails of complaint to the Revdex.com.

Review: In the winter of 2014 in Feb I purchased a car from Car Vision. $10,400. Only weeks later was the car over heating. I took it in to be serviced. At what point the first time it was told to me it was the thermostat, second time a few days later, the radiator. A few weeks go by and then the motor!!! At this point it had become very frustrating that the quality of workmanship may not be the best when the manager clearly stated to me, they decided to put a motor in b/c a gasket had blew b/c they could not figure out the problem. Needing a car and just paid over $10k for a car, I had to listen. They put in a motor and it was covered for a year. Well a few months passed and well it did it again, they replaced a cooling line, oring, so that fixed it!!! Months passed and here we are 9/14 and its running hot again. I took it in and well, now they say they have to replace the motor again!!! It looks to me like the quality of work is not accurate, there is a lot of mis communication when trying to get it scheduled resolved, and find out what really is wrong with the car!Desired Settlement: At this point being only the owner of the car for less than a year and having the same issue more than 3X its time to refund the cost of the car!!! I want my money back. Every replacement part, motor, etc, is faulty due to the workmanship of the car.I am not happy and need something resolved immediately. I can never get thru to the "higher powers" at the dealership and no one can give me a straight answer.
