Hello, This is an account verification code, this is not a confirmation number. Customers only receive confirmation numbers from us after they transmit their tax return to the [redacted] or respective state government and the [redacted] or respective state government accepts it. Verification codes are sent via email or text message as a fraud protection measure. Before a tax return can ever be transmitted on our website, a taxpayer must enter the verification code they received into their account. This is done in order to help verify a taxpayer’s identity prior to transmitting their tax return. [redacted] should use the [redacted]’ Where’s My Refund system to track her refund? This can be done here, [redacted] I only located one account on our website that matched this customers name and/or email address. This account did not have a completed tax return associated with it. If the [redacted] Where’s My Refund system has no record of their refund, it would confirm that the tax return was never filed. To reiterate what was sent in the earlier email correspondence, we do not ever receive tax refunds on behalf of customers. Regards,   E-file [redacted]

am rejecting this response because:  I want my refund and not be charge the filling fee by e-file .com for very lousy service.

I am rejecting this response because:  E-file.com verification code is [redacted].  My refund went to their bank and not mine.  My taxes were completed and the funds were to be direct deposited into my account but instead I believe my refund went to their bank account and they kept my money.  I sent all the paper work that I received from this business to the [redacted].

We can certainly refund you the $25 you paid to file your state return.  Since it appears that you paid using e-collect (using the proceeds of your refund) and not a CC we will need to either mail you a check or send you a [redacted] payment. Can you let us know which you prefer and confirm the address you would like it sent to? Hello,The account we are showing connected with the email address "[redacted]" does not have a completed electronic tax filling associated with it. Customer tax refunds are never sent to us. If this taxpayer has not received their refund and the [redacted] has no record of it, it would indicate...

that this taxpayer did not complete filing their taxes. In order to investigate this further, please provide a copy of the confirmation number/email that was received.Thank you, E-file [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]426, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am rejecting this response because:  Their bank was listed on the papers why would this be?  Why would I receive a verification code unless I did file with said company and they kept my money.

Review: 1- Failure to contact me even after 1 week. I then contacted e-file to resume taking care of my problem.............no response or sorry for the long delay and no response.

2- Their mal-functioned software stated that I needed to enter my birth date. I complied and later was told by a rep via e-mail that this was not so.!!!

3- I received a pin number by e-mail and entered it then was told it was wrong the #. Turns it was the correct one.Desired Settlement: At least a modified refund.. I have never had such difficulty w/a tax fund in my many, many years as a tax filer. I was a student last yr. w/less than $500 in income and yet this

inept company with such poor customer service stated that thet wouldn't refund my request.

We are certainly happy to refund this customer if they had a bad experience on our site. However, we were not able to find this person as user or purchaser in our system. We attempted to search for them by both their name ([redacted]) and this email address neither had an account associated with it. Furthermore, $55 is not a price typically charged for our software. This customer may be mistaken in who they actually used to file their taxes this year.
